On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

you can still spend favour to do the venst while still keeping it. it's the option above church donation

Are you sure about that? It used to be that you can't spend just favor instead of AP.
I'll edit it in, but I don't think it's allowed.

Valaya is one of the two Big Defense Gods for the Dawi. Grugni is the other. A temple of hers is, ah...

Let's say it's not going to be easy to crack into.

And frankly, if it wasn't, then I'd be side-eying them for not making a fortress right after a giant Incursion.

Ah, it's not the fortified bit that is my problem. It's the temple bit. I want a spectacular inn/romn thermae combo.

[X] Plan: Movement of Griffons
[X] Plan Conclave of Light and Air No Apprentices

Not doing prod for prod is the equivilant of skipping several turns. We have 1 that does 1d3+1 (avg 3), 2 that do 1d2+1 (avg 2.5) and can have multiple prods. Even if we split then we spend 4 actions to get 11 actions of research progress. At best (rune metal+student of odd) we would need to spend 8 actions to get one fewer. So not doing prod for prod is the equivalent of doing nothing for a turn

It would also be interesting if we were so lucky as to get epiphanies from a lot of time spent around Morgrim's design and possibly some of his personal work, like when we saw the Torque of the Ancestors.

never mind then, this is my first turn actually voting so i think i misunderstood how the favour there worked

[X] Plan: Dwarf Santa Visits the Griffons, Plus Yorri
[X] Plan: Movement of Griffons
[X] Plan Movement, Aerie, No Apprentices
-[x] Prod for Prod: [Cost: 1 action] Gain x3 Yorri prods. 1 Action
-[x] The Grand Conclave/Rhunkalbrogg: [Cost: 1 action]. 1 Action
--[x] Optional Write-in: Your Adamant bar, a furnace, one voidstone
-[x] [Simple] Warded Aeries: [Cost: (2 -1) =1 actions] Productivity Like No Other will proc. 2 Actions
--[x] Use up to t3 materials at the gm's discretion.
-[x] [Simple] Vent Venting Pt. ?: [Cost: 2 actions] Productivity Like No Other will proc.
--[x] Religious Donation: Gain 2 progress. if taken no action input required, but can add actions to overflow if desired. Lose rights to the land itself, Temple of Valaya will pay and provide material.
-[x] [Simple] Cave Clearing Pt. 1: [Cost: 3 actions]
--[x] Petition the Hold: [Cost: variable favours] Gain 1 progress per 10 favour, can be taken multiple times to autocompletion. 30 Favor.
-[x] The Movement of Things Pt. 2: [Cost: (8 -3) =5 actions] Student of the Odd will proc. 1 Action
--[x] Prod Yorri: [Cost: 1 prod] Gain 1d2+1 progress, can be taken multiple times. 3 prods

Any plan not using prods is being incredibly inefficient.

thing is, the defences aren't runed in any way, the torque was runed which is why we got said epiphanie. can't get the idea behind a rune if there is no rune there

@soulcake, if Yorri leaves and we have prods unspent, would they still be available when next we see him?

[X] Plan: Movement of Griffons

Getting the Dragon Ogre research done opens up all that comes with it, including Kholek's stuff, too, and may have a the Master Rune of Thunderbolt behind it.

If we look at the economics of actions, not using a plan with Yorri is very silly. Sure we get shinies now, but we can get more shinies later if we're smart about this.

There's also just the idea of like a benevolent ruler throwing open their vaults and storehouses to supply a friend, we throw open our inventory built on 200 years to empower a fortress of an ally. Likely be able to make better use of those materials if there's more stuff to Rune, too.

It does not, it costs
Then @BungieONI 's plan spends 6 AP instead of 5.
No, it means we have to do it next turn, right @soulcake ?

That doesn't count the possibility of dragging in the other Runesmiths or Dolgi, getting an Epic or even Legendary Deed, and working on the work of Morgrim himself.

Sometimes it's about having fun, too.

[ ] [Simple] Warded Aeries: [Cost: (2 -1) =1 actions] Productivity Like No Other will proc. The Griffons of the Skarrenraz Ankor suffered terribly defending the skies of your hold. The decade-long siege has seen many an oath of friendship sworn between your folk and theirs. An entire generation of "Clutchlings'' as they are called, has been raised alongside your own youth safely within the halls of the Karak. Their nests are high above the world, but they are ill-suited to protecting them from that which can fly as well. Rectify this, at least for the roost in Kraka Drakk, and aid in Otrek's work to repay these odd but dependable allies. Morgrim Himself has given the blueprints for the final structure, and His followers have completed the structure in its entirety. But the Runes to be used, you are told, were left purposefully blank by Morgrim. His words something akin to, "Let Thungni's scions decide if it's worth their time," you are told.

I somewhat feel this one is a must. given that last line, it feels like doing this or not will send a message.

I mean how many options are people going to keep on wanting to spend on the Griffons? They're an ally and all which is nice but their lists of requests just grows so it's not like we can actually "clear" them.

To be perfectly honest, and without any intention to offend anyone, I think there are only two worthwhile options.

Either we fully maximize Yorri's remaining turn and save a lot of ap by focusing on research ...

Or

We go "full in" for the Aeries and spend 3 AP (which procs to 5), and make something really special, throw the remaining ap on whatever and pretend that Yorri never stayed an additional turn.
