Can't vote right now, but I have a thought to throw out there.

I personally don't think we need Homu to handle this, but if we really wanted her to get here in a hurry we could ask her if she's got a motorcycle in her shield. Unsure of a megucas top speed, but I bet that a decent motorcycle could thread its way through frozen streets quite easily and probably faster than she can run.

So if worse comes to worst we could warn Homu to make an excuse to duck out on Madoka and Sayaka, throw up a grief flare/flag/beacon and cleanse on arrival.

@Ugolino: Akiko has already been away from negotiations. Plus what Askari said.

Besides, where would you prefer to fight them, alone versus Fukushima and Akiko & Sakura or The Mitakihara and University Girls groups versus Fukushima, Akiko, Sakura, Yumi and that last Sendai girl.

It loses goodwill and puts us in worse position. Benefit is that we can show off cleansing in person, which...can be checked by telepathy to other groups for starters instead, and is kind of non-helpful with wiping the 20 seed debt from Sendai.

Plane + TK?

Except for the part where...Sendai might actually go along with it, and a shooting war escalates?

We don't actually need justification for what we do.
We want one, though. We don't just want to deliver (some approximation of) justice, but the appearance of justice.
If we go after Akiko, it turns out she does want a fight (as looks increasingly likely), and we finally give her one, Sendai are going to have certain doubts as to who started it. No neutral witnesses over there.
If we sit here all innocent-like, and Akiko shows up with a heavily-armed mob and throws the first punch, we are the injured party. We have no choice but to defend ourselves.

Too bad, she'd be in timestop so you wouldn't be seeing her.

Assuming she would leave Madoka at all.
"I fail to see why you called me here for this. You alone could have dealt with Fukushima, but with the others and the university group - this is just overkill."
"Hey, all it takes is a lucky shot, right? I'd much rather have you here as my ace in the hole if things go to shit. Though I must say I didn't expect you here for another few minutes yet. Had you already left Madoka?"
"No, we ducked into the nearest alley and I immediately transformed, hotwired the bike, warned them to go straight home, then left."
"Did you say, 'I'll be back'?"
"...no?"
"No appreciation for the classics at all. Why do I even bother."

by telepathing them before they can meet Akiko.
buy them off via telepathy, great.
The QBphone does not work that way. We need to have seen them up close, at the very least, before we can telepathy them. Just hearing about where they are from won't allow us to establish a telepathic channel.

Assuming she would leave Madoka at all. (Well, in timestop if she can she probably would...)
Remember that part of the reason we left Homura back in Mitakihara in the first place is so we can have someone to keep and eye on Madoka and Sayaka to ensure that they don't contract. Telepathing Homura for information is fine, but calling her to physically get down to Sendai is not.

Why does everyone think Fukushima will attack us? After all they are only here because they were payed for it.
It took twenty seeds to get the Fukushima group to help deal with the University group alone.
If they are that mercenary, it stands to reason that they would want an additional payment, if they have to fight more than just the four University girls. Akiko either left to renegotiate with them and pay them more, trick them into attacking us by saying we are all part of the University group or she just left because its polite to meet your allies in person and she wants to explain the changed situation. Akiko is the leader of Sendai after all and may want to deal with her reinforcements in person and not delegate it to someone else like Minami, who still has a broken neck or Sakura.

Edit: I keep mixing up Masami and Minami... Fixed.

We can, however, establish a tp link from someone else who's been in proximity with them, like we did to establish contact with UG. Someone in UG might have met Fukushima; if not, Rin probably has, and Sakura almost certainly has.

I thought the reason we left her was to not drag her in a conflict she doesn't care about? And to show her she doesn't need to be involved in order for things to work out.

That reminds me I wanted us to pay Kyouko to help watch over Mitakihara and then find excuses to have her stay... :(

We was kinda in a rush at that time :(

There were multiple reasons, but as I recall, that one was pretty low on the reasons people were actually considering when discussing whether to bring Homura along or not. The main reasons were that we needed someone to keep and eye on Mitakihara, and we need a meguca that Madoka/Sayaka trusts in the event of a witch attack/ Kyousuke breaking/ martyr complex, and since Mami needs to be with us because reasons, that leaves Homura.

@Guilop: Eh, I'm hardly certain of it, but it is better to be prepared than not, even if they don't.
@Cannon: Good thing my vote deals with that pitfall ;)

And nice, further point against Homura visiting.

I'm not saying we shouldn't prepare for an ambush or something like that.
I just wanted to point out that I don't find Akiko leaving to meet her allies that just arrived that strange. Sure she could have told us about it, but since the whole discussion was via telepathy anyway, she might have seen no need to do so.
I just want to prevent things like Fukushima and Akiko having a civilized discussion, sipping tea, when Sabrina suddenly bursts in shouting "It's a trap!", grief binds everyone, steals their teacups and forces them to watch as she microwaves the fuck out of their tea, while rambling about hats.

"Hey, Homura, buddy-"
"Who do you need me to shoot at now?"
"Whoa! What're you jumping to conclusions like that for? Can't we just talk without you casting aspersions on my motives? I'm wounded."
"... Fine, then. What is this about?"
"Come to think of it, uh, probably murder, mostly." :V
