[x] Sakura, when someone disappears in the middle of cease-fire negotiations that's a bad fucking sign. Where did Akiko go?

You know, lets just tell the UG what we want to do. We have no good reasons to hide it from them. It would be a good way of building trust.

Can we all just agree that Rin is bestgirl of Sendai? Way to come through on that thur diplomacy, gurl.

Also, I agree, tell UG fucking everything.

[x] Sakura, when someone disappears in the middle of cease-fire negotiations that's a bad fucking sign. Where did Akiko go?
[x] Ask Sakura if Akiko was accumulating a lot of grief just now.
[x] Discretely prepare a few grief marbles. Keep them in marble form unless attacked, to avoid prematurely startling anyone. Ask Mami and Kirika to help watch.

@Muramasa: Eh, depending on how paranoid or friendly they are they might still not respond to it well, but it is better for it's purpose.
What if they all came over and Rin healed Yumi's neck?
Fuck no. Because we already asked Akiko to stay away. Because we already could run this by telepathy. Because Rin can heal later.

I don't think it's important enough to start my own vote over, but couldn't we ask Mami where she's gone? She might be outside of her range, too, but we know her sensing abilities trump ours. Also, maybe add
[] Ask Sakura if Akiko was accumulating a lot of grief just now.
She might have run off to grief spiral, and it kind of shows that we care.
Those...are not bad ideas, if for the fact of keeping Sakura occupied alone.
Though I thought that Mami had less range that Sabrina?

Since Firn pointed out that the Sendai girls are all loyal to Akiko (except for Rin, since she is new) I don't think appointing a new negotiator is going to work. I think, Akiko is either running of because the Fukushima group just arrived and she ants to handle that personally, she's planning something or she wants to calm herself down.

For now:
[x] Discretely prepare a few grief marbles. Keep them in marble form unless attacked, to avoid prematurely startling anyone. Telepathy Mami and Kirika to watch out for surprises.

[x] Press Sakura about Akiko (both her suspicious sudden departure and her issues)
-[x] Ask Sakura if Akiko was accumulating a lot of grief just now.
-[x] Ask when the Fukushima group is expected to arrive

Edit: Since I apparently take forever to write my posts, I changed my vote up a bit to include some new stuff.

Pretty sure Mami was shown to have a longer sensing range than us, since she could still sense people we couldn't. Don't remember when it was originally established though.

Guys, while communicating our goals to UG or hell, not just them but to everyone is not a bad idea, I think @Muramasa was speaking of telling them that you're moving the marbles first.

At least that is what I got out from the context.

Vote adjusting. (Poor ignored Rin-sis)

I think I'm more bothered by the marbles vote because it's pointlessly redundant, thinking on it; they're not a weapon that needs any kind of preparation, so the most I can really see happening with that is Sabrina prodding the bag with her foot, going 'yep, they're marbles', and moving on with the rest of the vote. On top of that, there are multiple sources of Grief in the area, so additional distribution probably isn't needed.

Anyways:

[] Talk to Sakura
-[] Akiko, in her current state, isn't going to agree to anything the UG is going to find palatable. If Yumi is, or can be made, presentable enough to not freak out bystanders, you can talk to the UG group to allow her to the table so Rin can fix her neck and take over for Akiko. From there, Mami takes over for you, and those gathered can hash something out that's good enough for the short term while the two of you go and talk to Akiko.
--[] If the opportunity presents itself, try to get more info on the Kato event.

Messy, but whatever.

:o I don't believe we know that to be fact.
Eh, just looking for at least neutral talk to keep Sakura occupied instead of pressing her about something she does not want to answer and worsen relations further.
I like that? Put the two reasonable people in charge while the unreasonable people fuck off and do unreasonable things.
To be fair, we don't know Yumi isn't insane yet. At the very least she is complicit in what happened to UG.

Cannon already said it was about spreading them about. I agree that marbles are marbles =D and I'm guessing it was half-aborted sentence of "prepare marbles in case of attack" that got trimmed, so it got reduced to "prepare marbles".

First one does not work, I bet. Sakura repeatedly said that she sticks with Akiko AND if she does not sign off on it it is not going to last.

I mean, I'd like to check whether Yumi is better in charge too, but Sakura has now even more reasons to reject that.

Second one.....Eh, it is a topic and why not?

Lemme just facepalm for a moment because I forgot we had Oiriko on dial. A "does anyone attack this meeting?" question shouldn't take too much out of her I think, should we be worried about Akiko deciding to go full derp.

The fact that we are part of the meeting will make anything related to it hard to predict.

Based on her actions so far, she might be crazy (I don't really think we've established that yet - eccentric and a complete bastard =/= crazy, but I'm willing to entertain the possibility that she might be), but she's almost certainly not 'not responsible for her actions' crazy.
Also. . What we do to people that are insane is first make sure they are not hurting others then figure out how they can be treated. Which honestly doesn't involve treating her any different. She is a danger to her self and others. Figuring that out comes first. Then we can decide if punishment or long term treatment makes sense, after that.

Eh, not going anywhere, but I have the urge to poke things around a bit regardless.

[x] Talk to Sakura
-[x] Assuming that the University group's antipathy is mainly directed at Akiko, it may be possible to talk them into allowing Yumi to come to the table to get healed, and for her to take over for Akiko. From there, you'll hand off your role to Mami, and while they work out something that will at least last for the short-term, you and Sakura will go talk to Akiko and see if you can make enough headway into her issues to allow for something longer to come about.
--[x] If she goes for it, ask for more background info; particularly about what happened with Kato.

Outside of grief control? We're kind of a shitty meguca. Okay, not really shitty. Maybe lacking experience in actual combat.

Again outside our grief control, we're pretty good with our fuck-off warhammer.

Our inexperience shows in our average reflexes (which shows when we got wounded on our fight with the Ishinomaki girls even with all our shields flying around)

We have a much better handle on our pain supression. A slight advantage against the average MG,not when our abilities don't require too much attention.

We're also immune or highly resistant to disturbing scenes (like Masami's body after dropping the illusion).
Outside of grief control? You do realize that, even in the presence of antimagic, we could just yank their soul gems, right? And that the kind of antimagic needed to really threaten Sabrina seems to be pretty rare, if Kyubey is any indication?

Sabrina isn't very experienced, true, though she has seen a lot of diverse combat in the week that she's been around. Both against witches and against MGs, as well as experience fighting alone and alongside other MGs.

It goes beyond all of that, though. Through grief bending, our capabilities are enormously diverse. Mobility, firepower, utility, defense, armor, entrapment, melee, crowd control, and attacks from unusual angles are all part of the package.

---

Going to be gone for a week without internet, most likely. Good luck, guys, and please lay off the shadowderping.

We are probably going to have to at least try to get Akiko out of the driver's seat here.

Oh, that's a given.

... or maybe not considering the support she has from sendai. I don't know anymore.

But for now...

We kind shold practice at some point. We have so many things we could do but when I think 'Sabrina' and 'Combat' in the same sentence, my mind defaults to 'Grief Shotgun', 'Grief Shotgun', 'Grief Shotgun', 'use scattered grief pellets for grief sandstorm'.

Can't we also just telepathy and ask Akiko where the heck she is. Her answer (or non-answer) will give us a better idea on what she's going to do at least.

[q]All hail Sabrina, the Great Uniter.

We've even got the control freak issues for it! :V
