The reason I like the idea of taking Akiko prisoner so much is that she's likely to have lots of enemies. If we get her to agree to not mess with the UG, she'll go bother some other group. On the other hand, any enemies she might have could attack her anytime, which would give her the perfect excuse to answer in kind.

Hmm, yeah, this works. It'll probably work better than trying to undermine her, and has less of a chance of backfiring. That said, I'm not entirely certain what getting Mami's thoughts on the matter would do, since we are barreling on ahead with our actions regardless of her input, but there is no harm asking, I suppose. Maybe move it back to after Akiko reacts negatively, between asking Rin about Kato and delivering the ultimatum to Akiko?

It's useless but harmless. The utter lack of an attempt to get around Akiko if she proves completely irrational is much more of a problem.

This vote needs to try and get through to the other girls if she doesn't prove amenable to reason herself. Otherwise, NOTHING gets done if the person who's been a crazy person continues to be a crazy person in the next update. We NEED to undermine her if she won't listen.

I'm worried that they aren't on the same page as us. I don't want to start asking the whole team without knowing for sure that she's a total space cadet. There's nothing stopping them from asking Akiko what the hell we're talking about, and that'd basically be the end of negotiations if we're shown to be trying to undermine her authority behind her back. Asking Rin is justifiable as it makes sense for us to try and independently confirm the information we recieved from someone who should know. It's also not phrased in a way that is a direct attack on Akiko's leadership/sanity. Plausible deniablity.

At the very least I think she should be aware of what we're discussing with Akiko. I'm also kind of tired of our trend of asking nobody for input before we do things unless it's asking Oriko questions that she either can't really answer or we're just gona change the answers to in a minute anyways.

Then we need to GET them on the same page, and we get nothing done by inexplicably not raising the issue and letting them assume that all is well. I don't care if Akiko finds out that we think she's not acting rationally. We don't, she isn't, and we don't want her to handle Sendai's negotiations if we can get the others to disagree with her on the 30 seeds demand.

As for total space cadet, that's EXACTLY what we'd have established with "reacts negatively or rebukes our offer". There have literally been several pages of updates confirming that, yes, she's not acting rationally.

That vote gets nothing done if Akiko is less than completely reasonable, and I can't vote for a vote that only assumes everything will go perfectly and gets nothing done under any other circumstances.

Here's what's likely to happen: Akiko will still be batshit/stonewall us and RIn will shrug because she's kept out of the loop, and that'll be an update where we get nothing done at all because we didn't try and work around the likely problem.

You know, this situation needs an attack from multiple angels.
Informing and discussing things with several people at once.
Something that Sabrina excels at.
How about talking IRL with the University group at the same time as mentally with Sendai group? Would prevent Akiko from handling both.
 
Except that...we're in agreement with the University group. It's Sendai we need to talk to right now since we got University to pretty much agree to our terms.

Okay, so something like this under the "if she keeps being a shit" part?

[] To Akiko's team: Ask them if they know why Akiko would go to Ishinomaki to heal Kato Setsuko if she's dead. Furthermore, are they really okay with demanding 30 Seeds from a group that already can't survive paying them three per week? Knowing that we'd be forced to side with the University when they refuse, or are they willing to work for peace with us?

I didn't much care for the other wording because it's not giving clear weight to both issues. Yeah "tell them what we just heard" probably covers it, but I feel like the contradiction needs to be stressed more.

It's more likely to get them to disagree with than the Seeds issue, which could be seen as business as usual to them, if still really harsh.
