I'm reasonably certain that demonstrating that we can cleanse seeds will get them to do that anyway. I can't imagine any of them being particularly fond of Kyubey after what they've been through, and given that we can renew the grief seeds instead of simply getting rid of it, there is really no reason for them not to do so.
Still, spelling it out costs us nothing and makes sure we can still get a hold of the seeds later if we figure something out.

Hah. I totally called that they were desperate. Maybe we should ask them if they really want to stay in Sendai, further down the conversation. Because it seems like if they want 'out' that elsewhere might be an option

I wonder if anything is happening with Hildegard, seeing as we drained her seed again and are keeping it out longer this time. I'm actually reluctant to put it back, but there's nothing else to do with it...

Talking is, after all, a free action :V

[x] Agree to cleanse all soul gems, as well as refresh all grief seeds.
-[x] But.. that's not all you need help with, is it?

Also, RE: witchbombing. I don't think telling them about being careful will do good. In fact, it would be giving them some ammo for when they need some blackmail (Granted, that might not work, but still).

UG is a desperate faction, yes, so Sabrina is basically a godsend. But once they get out of the hellhole that is Sendai, there's no guarantee they would use that particular detail against us.

We're not putting it back. Taking it out was a specific choice with a specific* goal, it wasn't because we needed the material. As for what to do with it... there's no rule saying we have to deconstruct the airplane when we're done. We could park it on top of a building and assign Kyubey to guard it.

*Well, as specific as "see what happens" gets.

It'll disolve if don't keep it in range. Or it'll become a familiar, or whatever it is that grief tries to do when it leaves our range.

Yes, lets leave enough evil magic to construct a pocketdimension just laying around somewhere... what could go wrong? SV at its best.

Note im not opposed to leaving it out to continue SCIENCE on hildegard, but maybe put a bit more thought into it?

When we fought Kirika our grief clouds just seemed to dissolve and then dissipate in the environment when they go hit by anti-magic, but we still had a lot less grief back then.
I think all grief constructs outside of our magic range will share that fate.

There's only one way to find out what could go wrong, and I did suggest doing it in a controlled way in an unpopulated area.

"Park it on top of a building" was a suggestion for keeping it within our range, not leaving it lying around.

Ok, it seems I remembered that completely wrong...
Since our grief marbles survived Kirika's anti-magic pulse without breaking down and we just couldn't affect them while it lasted, we should be able to make somewhat stable, solid grief constructs that last even if they leave our active grief control range. Might want to test that sometime in the future. Being able to build walls or other lasting barriers or constructs out of grief might come in handy. We could even build a nice grief vacation home on a nice lonely island somewhere :V

Surely you mean build a grief island on the ocean floor.

Isn't that what witchcraft and wizardry is all about?

But we're almost definitely probably not a witch. We'll just be over here making constructs out of grief and trying to figure out how to make a barrier... :V

Like I've mentioned in the past, I want to see:

1. If Grief constructs retain their shape if taken out of control range

2. If a Grief construct can be programmed to do stuff

3. If a programmed Grief Construct will retain it's programming if taken beyond control range(assuming the answer to 1 is yes)

Artificial Grief Seed v.1

Only good for a use or two until some way to condense the stuff is worked out, but Sabrina could still spread them around for other magi to beta test while she works on better versions.

It turns into something malignant, my money's on a Wraith, then we turn around rip it to shreds with our magic and decide not to do that again?

Seriously, anything made of Grief isn't much of a threat to us. Waluigi's only a problem because she doesn't have a barrier, so when she chucks a building at us it's an actual building not Grief we can just rip apart to use against her.

We're starting to get a huge backlog of !!SCIENCE!!, aren't we? Do we have a list of things to try somewhere?
Also, I'm definitely against putting the grief back into Hildegard if we can help it. If it gets to be too much of a problem, we can just corner Coobie and force-feed it grief until it's manageable again.

You mean grief space station, right? :V

Sabrina's Items to research, in no particular order. Items in red are risky to pursue, items in gold are in progress, cancelled items are done
  • Effects of Grief on objects
  • Effects of Grief on living creatures
  • Effects of dispersed Grief
  • Grief material properties: Can we change them?
  • Advanced Grief application: Wraith or Familiar creation
  • Advanced Grief application: Artifical Barrier creation
  • General magic usage: Object enchantment in particular
  • Purification of grief seeds
  • Reverting Grief seeds back into Soul gems
  • General properties of Grief seeds
  • Creating stable grief constructs
  • Creating automated stable grief constructs

Corner him? We could just call him and let him know we have a fuckton of Grief for him to eat(?) or whatever.

We should also get on cataloging the Witch names of every MG we've met at some point. Loops brought it up a couple pages back.

@Cannongerbil Why's "effects of dispersed Grief" on the list? Do you mean outside of our range? I thought we found out that dispersed Grief was corrosive with the rebar.

We're seeing what's happening to Hildegard before any other SCIENCE since it's acting strangely and there's a chance we could revert it.

When we do get to the more risky grief experiments, we should do them away from any eyewitnesses except Sakura.
