Ah. Yeah, just now realized the rammifications of that.

Considering our very existance is due to Madoka, and Homera's entire life for the entirety of the loops has been to keep Madoka safe, this means that whatever karmic connection she has to those two are far more than just a friendship.

It's strange. Her connections to the various shrines and buildings in Tokyo point to her being of a spiritual/ Genius Loci nature, yet her extreme Karmic ties to the other two members of Chiyoda could also very well mean that her existence is due to them.
Hmmm. I don't wanna make theories, but my working one is that she may have been resurrected by a wish from one of the two, and her current ties to Tokyo might be due to a wish from the second one. There are many, many holes in it, as I'm bad at placing motive, and I don't yet see a motive for this. But I just have the key points that her current state is due to those two girls, and that she has deep ties with the city itself.

...Hey, wait a minute. It was said that Toshimichi has deep ties withing the shrines of Tokyo.

Isn't the Meiji group situated around the Meiji shrine?
 
I do think people are probably on the right track - the extremely strong karmic ties to the other Chiyoda Group members make it pretty certain that Toshimichi being around is a result of their magic in some way, while her ties to ancient Shinto shrines and her comments about how the situation has changed from "even a few decades ago" point to her being some kind of ancient spirit - but these two things are not contradictory.

It's entirely possible that Shimada and Riko were able to tap into and bring back a magical spirit that had gone dormant, through their magics or their wishes. It's also possible that their wishes created an ancient spirit thousands of years old, altering the history in between- magic has no constraints on causality, as we well know, so there's no reason that a modern wish couldn't create effects spanning a long distance into the past.

Man, it would be completely on-brand for this Meeting to go well right as everyone decides that now is a great time to start settling all their grudges by the iron and blood method.
 
iv seen a video by jimquisition that has ruined the phrase "circle back" for me forever. corporate jargon, for like "let me disreguard all you have told me so far and reiterate this thing i want to sell you"

also the monolgue on force has me wishing i remember the theory/propanda on why violence is based (sometimes) something like the paradox of tolerance? but basically its like self defense, antifa, no parasan etc.

Yeah, building up karmic destiny on that level is clearly hard, if Oriko is comparing it to Madoka. Riko is Toshimichi's doppelganger with the clouds and the healing, and Shimada is the science girl... but that leaves out Matsui, the girl with the armoured dress. What's her role in Chiyoda? Why no karmic bond there? Is she new to the group?

Back to the meeting... I think it's going to go fine, it's the border watchers that's got me concerned. Tokyo... does not sound like it's at peace at all, so many tensions and faultlines running through it that I'm half expecting it to fall apart even without our involvement. Oriko is on overwatch, so that's good, but I worry we may have to fight our way out. Honestly, the whole thing feels like a warzone.

I wonder if it would be appropriate to invite girls to relocate to Mitakihara. We can keep them fed and safe (well, baring the Walpurgis, but we can evacuate them to Fukushima if need be), it would ease population issues in Tokyo, we're setting up a Yuki teleport pad so they can visit friends/family if they need it and it'll hopefully diffuse tensions. Any trouble makers would be under our nose as well, so we can deal with them more easily.

Yeah, but the evidence for this has been so abundant that it was basically considered fact. Kinda like how we've known about the existance of Black Holes but we've never actually gotten any photos of one to absolutely confirm it exists. This is just a photo of a black hole.

You know the difference between a magical girl and a SUPER magical girl?

Like, I would love to see our group just, extravagantly, absurdly, over-the-fucking top BLOW magic, insane amounts of magic, on their arrival / display. Just, to absolutely positively cement in the impression that Constellation is post-scarcity. They do not give a fuck, do not NEED to give a fuck, about magic efficiency.

I would almost want a full on conjured tea-and-cake set prepared by Mami instantly set in front of each delegate by Homura in timestop. Just as an accent.
 
Okokok, so.

I get that we're all super hyped about walking into the big meeting in an epic blaze of glory. Like, I find that entire mental image viscerally satisfying. And we have been waiting for this.

But also! We essentially have to prove two things: our capability, and our goodwill. Our capability can be easily demonstrated by clearing a seed in front of them without pomp or fanfare. Our goodwill... that's gonna be the hard one. And if we come in blasting magic all over the everything, even just as a display, that could be seen as an attempt to cow and intimidate. Like that one time we dropped out of the sky wings-flaring and scared the absolute crap out of... I can't remember who but this definitely happened a while back.

Anyway. I'm all for PRESENTATION, but maybe we could just dial the intensity down a mite?
