Hmm. Yeah, the acceleration thingy might not work quite as well for no other reason than the soul gem, and we need to know its safe limits before even attempting that one.

All our passengers were able to endure of order 100g acceleration without ill effect, so take that as a baseline. Meguca strength is likely dependent on context, and the effects of that strength are likely difficult to decouple from the general effects of magic. The extent likely varies from meguca to meguca. For instance, I doubt Kyouko fails to perforate anything she chooses to stab. Though she can probably lift very heavy things, the upper bound of stabbing is probably out of proportion to the lifting.

We tested our Hammer and found it is significantly more effective at smashing stuff than an identical mundane hammer, so yeah, it's almost certain that Kyoko's spear would likewise be boosted beyond what you would expect from her strength.

"Sooner than that, even," Sayaka says, elbowing you. "There's a lot of world to save."
Sayaka just had to get that "Wisdom: +1" notification for that remark. Sabrina will not stand down until all the world is saved and The Good End achievement is ours!
"Have a safe trip! One last cleansing for the road?"

"I'm good," Kazumi says cheerfully
Is she still doing that thing where she hides her grief level from everyone?
"No offense, Miss Akemi, but your magic is, ah, as terrifying as it is powerful," Akemi says.
I had to reread that line a few times until I got it right.
And so you do, plunging once more into the dull roar of the crowd and the press of people. You ping Hitomi and Madoka for their location, of course, rather than try to fumble through the crowd - you could probably just saturate the entire shopping centre with nanofog and locate them by brute force, but why would you bother when you can just ask?
We are learning!

It is great seeing how our friends are adapting to our character flaws and holding us up, given how much of what we want is to do precisely that for them. We really need to agknowledge to Sayaka how much that means to us.

It's probably habit for her at this point. A bad habit she needs to break, but significantly less destructive now that their team has access to a Clear Seed she can just use quietly when no one's looking.
I find little moments like this, where character growth is just subtly demonstrated, even more satisfying than a lot of the heavier duty fluff scenes (which I also enjoy). There's an art to writing this sort of subtlety that's always really satisfying to read.

Putting it like that makes me feel as if Sabrina is secretly a BESRMOW in a human disguise that is slowly learning how to break out of habits born from millennia of warfare.

...I mean, I'm pretty sure the way some of the votes worked, it does make Sabs look a little railroady, low-key belligerent, and stuff. It's more like a General trying to go "no, they're not soldiers, you're not their superior, they're my friends, cut it out" basically.

Or, at least, that's my impression.

[X] Purchase a smartphone.
[X] Work on enough mind protecting enchantments for everyone during the homework session, and covertly book a restaurant for tomorrow's evening date once you're done in Tokyo.
--[X] Fill Madoka and Hitomi in on what happened, both with Iowa (in broad terms to not trigger Homura) and with the creation of The Constellation.
[X] Let Homura and Mami know that you'd like to have a talk with them once the Shizuki dinner wraps up.

"EVERYONE get your shopping done, stay on budged and meet back up here at 13:00 SHARP!
...
I mean, if you want to."

Sabrina can be very controlling. It's a flaw of hers that we need to work on.

Being an individual who's natural tendencies and power-set are that of a Master Class individual is a balancing act between tyranny and complacency after all.
Or you can just von Neumann the planet and call it a day.

Being overcontrolling may be a character flaw, but having high self control is commonly accepted as a virtue, so just replace everything with you and you can no longer fail!

The Sabrina as we've configured her is a social creature that values the existence of other people. That suggestion is in-actionable.

Random thing: I wanna write either an omake or something else that's basically a mecuga equivalent of Falling Down, but I know I won't because I know I can't think of appropriate enough things that might show the reference to Falling Down, yet at the same time not feel completely out of place.

I do know Sayaka needs to be involved somehow, maybe act as a stand in for Predergast.
