Part of me still wants to involve ask to involve Homura (and Sayaka, if she's present,) and maybe ask something else to put in front of the question to Mami so we're not quite going from tension to tension, but I've no idea what.

Not going to lie, *deeply* disappointed to lose the "I'll catch you if you fall" line -- that one is deliberately sourced as probably the single most effective way to reassure her about the proposition:

Golden light blazes, a webwork of ribbons lashing across the sky as they coil and they weave. Seconds later, they snap into shape.

Wings.

Wings that clearly draw from yours. The same predatory, swept back shape, the same high arching curve. Sans the eye-straining affront against all that is good and right that makes up the fabric of your wings, of course. Mami's wings are woven of soft, golden fabric that shimmers faintly under the sun.

Mami's fall jolts to a halt as she wobbles, arms and legs spread wide to steady her flight.

You laugh, long and loud as you swoop down in front of Mami, settling into an aerodynamically impossible backstroke so that you're face to face with her. "You're amazing."

I don't think there's any point to the added emphasis on "difficulty" or "fraughtness", either. The message here ought to be, plain and simple, "the best way to engage with Kyouko is to be open about it, and if it doesn't work out I will be here for you." Optionally we might include also a "I honestly think you will be happier for doing this", which "you think she and Kyouko can reconcile" does fit into.

Mostly, though... Keep "I'll catch you if you fall." That one is the right way to go for sure.

Not adopting the shortening since I don't want to remove the example of to our own successes here, as it makes an important point in its own right, I think.

I'm not too fond of the coobie intercept change here. It just feels excessively brutal and bloodthirsty in a way I don't care for. If cocooning won't work, at least without being witchy, and in the abscence of a viable cat carrier, I'll use another track instead. Namely:

I arrive at Mitakihara.

Bombs: Dropped
Truths: Halved
Magical Girls: Despairing

I am forcibly ejected from Mitakihara.
