Sabrina is now officially qualified to overcome Yukariguca's danmaku patterns, when we inevitably challenge her to a spellcard duel. :V

Gratz, Kai!
Unless she pulls from the fighting games. Or her Imperishable Night Last Word. Or the Shoot the Bullet-style games. Or (Madokami forbid) Impossible Spell Card.

But yes, congrats, Kai.

To be fair we haven't seen or heard a single thing our entire life :V

Hey I can state from experience that sharing a body isn't necessarily horrible

The soujo sisters were just insane from the getgo it seems
Although trying to use that routebas a primary measure isn't good as it strays away from our actual goal

Wait if I remember right, in kazumi magica when kazumi started to revert back into a witch she gained some pretty messed up shapeshifting powers or am I just imagining that
That was when she started destabilizing. Like her arms morphing, or when her body started to go much more to resembling Michirus witch. Not to mention the other 12 Kazumis that were made before Kazumi Subaru was made.

[x] Yes, you'd like to meet Ono again but only if she wants to come
[x] Continue vote in Abeyance

I'm fairly certain this is basically going to be a vote for not meeting with Ono, but eh. Either option has its upsides and downsides and even if we did meet with her, trying to get anything from Ono directly is like pulling meguca teeth while the girl is transformed. Just doesn't happen, at least not if you're using any regular dental instrument.

This option probably nets us the best chance of dragging out any information regarding her. If she agrees to meet, it would mean she's willing to talk. If she doesn't, oh well we can just ask the Animators in her absence and not have her there to object to anything they want to tell.

i just finished catching up after a reading hiatus.

i skimmed one of the timeline documents and i realized the last time we made a barrier was 4 years and 15 (out of 29!) story pages ago. obviously the barrier is a touchy thing, but it seems like we've kinda stopped with the grief science in general, at least for the most part? is it considered low prio?

Tldr, grief science didn't get Homura to share the loops with Mami.

Heresy!
Grief Science has given us shades, hair extensions, everything!
What has Social done for us?
Did Social help us with befriending Ono? Akiko? Feathers?!
Nay, I don't think so. Then, I say, what good is it anyway?

Even if your completely untrue remark is to be taken at face value, that would not be Grief Science's fault at all, but ours as questers, who didn't Grief Science hard enough!

Frankly, we haven't stopped, but there's nothing of note that we've accomplished, aside from learning how to feed Clear Seeds Hope, and it's a very time-consuming enterprise.
We really don't have time, and people refuse to introduce Grief caffeine to Sabrina's digestive system, because Mami will be sad if Sabrina isn't there with her at night.

Memory might be poor but I faintly remember Mami freaking out when we brought her into the barrier and tranced when we tried making it homey. I think she asked us not to do it again because it scared her, followed immediately by feathers appearing so we swore off Barriers and the Witch-mimicry end of Grief Science.

And now you have me picturing a Mami who would approve of grief-caffeine:

It's not so much that the barrier itself scared Mami, as it was the first time she had seen us go into a trance.

And it happened with no warning. And lasted 30 minutes. On a day she was pretty unstable to boot.

The reason we swore off barriers is because the feathers scared the hell out of us. So we decided not to do it again until we at least knew what Feathers even was.

Eh heh. Sorry. Will do so.

Huh. When did that happen? The weird trance thing.

You build. You guide the formation of structure, wrapping it around you as air and carpet and concrete. You can feel the apartment expanding around you, the building, and Mitakihara expanding out around you. Your Barrier accretes around the nucleus of yourself and Mami.

Your boots touch down on rug, and you can feel the soft fibers give way underfoot. Another presence at your side - Mami. Fingers vise tight on yours, arms wrapped around you, and noise in your ears. Noise that comes unbidden to your Barrier, something forei-

"-abrina! P-please. Talk to m-me. Sabrina?"

You blink, and refocus.

"Mami?" you ask faintly.

"Sabrina!" Mami looks... panicked. Her eyes are wide enough that the whites are showing all round, her face drawn and terrified. Her arms are clamped tightly around you with desperate, ribcracking force, your hand still held in hers.

Whenever Sabrina makes a Witchy object she goes into a trance while imposing her will upon reality. We hadn't noticed it much before that incident because a barrier is much more complicated than our normal privacy spheres, etc. and thus required a half-hour long trance to make compared to the previous like minute long trances.

Since then we've found that using enchanted grief is a way to avoid trancing.
