Does she have preferences?
Japanese shiro?
German schloss?
Russian kremlin?
Maybe she's a modernist and likes star fortresses?

We can't give her just any castle, we need specifics, so that the most aesthetically pleasing option could be arranged.

Sheesh, it's not going to be a surprise if we ask. Just get all of the castles for her and she can decide her favourite later.

Clearly, we get one in Germany. She can use it as a base from which to barter with Regius.

Some thoughts on lunch topics: Mostly chitchat we should get to eventually anyways.

1: Does Homura want to head out meeting and greeting with us this Sunday? If you act now you can arrange things to be stable one way or another.
2: Does Sayaka know when is Kyousuke going to be back in school, and if he'll have trouble eating on the roof? (Since we'll probably want to include him.)

We need to contact Asunaro to confirm the date for the Tokyo meeting, as well as talk to Niko about potentially re-embodying all of the Souju's victims.

Then, we need Mami as the team lead to contact Tokyo to set up that meeting officially.

I'd also like to contact Tsubaki Mikoto during lunch, to confirm that we can head to Hozuki on Sunday.

There's a reason I want to start contacting people during "downtime" like the flight, and it's because our schedule is packed pretty solid already.

The main problem with the fursona argument, as I see it, is that fursonae are by their nature created and defined by their owner. In order for the body to be the fursona of the soul, we'd need to be operating under something like Evangelion metaphysics, where the soul gives form and removal of the soul negates form. That's clearly not what we're working with here, so the closest claim you can reasonably make is that the body is the fursuit of the soul.

Ah.
But I didn't mean just any Meguca.

I meant Sabrina the Teenage Witch, human Fursona of Walpurgisnacht.

No, seriously, it all started as a shitpost about whether Sabrina's current body is Walpy's Fursona that Madokami helped her develop after Befriending her at point-blank range.

Okay, one: Order of operations. We should not be telling Asunaro when the Tokyo visit is before we actually arrange it with Tokyo.

And two: I think you may be too ambitious for our own good WRT the Sunday trip. Last time just visiting Ishinomaki and Sendai took up most of the afternoon.

Now, we can probably do better and include more by going out in the morning instead of after lunch, but with the talk over the last few months of adding Kyoto, Tome, Hōzuki, Fukushima, and Nagoshima, more than doubling the number of groups and more than tripling the number of cities? Is probably too much to ask. Especially when we want a bit more time so we can actually chat and recruit and you've already been tempted to cut out Sendai because they don't need cleansing.

(And that's another reason not to skip Sendai: I want Sunday to be a Walpurgis recruitment day as much as a cleansing trip and while Sendai Proper is probably a write off for that, Tohoku is the opposite.)

And sure, last Sunday we also met Nadia, looked for Kuroki, spoke with Oriko, and went on a dinner date, and but all of those were in Mitakihara and didn't involve traveling to a new city each time.

Heading to two more cities is one thing. Maybe we can fit three more groups if we can finagle talking to Tohoku and Tome at the same time or something. Five more is too much and we'll run ourselves ragged and get nothing done.

EDIT:

Also worth considering is that with each of these groups we also have some other business with:
  • Ishinomaki I want to hire them for WPN, see if they have Kato's seed on the off chance, talk about bomb-status as a precursor to that, and talk about if Hoshiko plays Warhammer 40k with Sayaka present on the fluff side. (and probably offer them the extra cleaning seed so we don't have to do this again next week but they're not at risk.)
  • Tohoku we need to check up on the clear seed, recruit for WPN, and it may be worth looking into witchbomb status.
  • Hohzuki we want to talk about a working relationship with Tsubaki and look into how things will go with the PMSM situation and avert it if necessary.
  • The Murasaki Shrine Maidens we want to evaluate and hire.
  • Kagoshima we'll want to talk about grief control and maybe other related stuff. And we can prearrange some of that over IRC, but likely not all of it, especially if we end up having some interest in talking about stuff we don't want Kyuubey to know. (Not necessarily the case, but also not unlikely if it turns out Hatsumi has some interest in dewitching.)
Of all the groups we seek to meet, only Tome is just "they're friends of some friends: meet and cleanse."

My current plan is for Kyoto and Kagoshima to happen on Saturday, and Tome and Hozuki to happen on Sunday.

On Saturday, we should be free from 11 am or so after the shopping, up until 6 pm or so for the meeting with Hitomi's parents.

That should be enough time to travel and meet with two groups.

Perhaps we never fully agreed then, but my plan back then was this:
Saturday: Administration day

In-city activities
Set up bank account.
Shopping (better phone, any other needs)
Hanging out and other stuff with friends (Ask Madoka if she wants a treehouse)
Set aside time to formally sort out internal politics, as needed.
Shizuki Dinner

Sunday: Diplomatic day

Out-of-city activities
Cleansing trip (Ishinomaki, Sendai, Tome?,
Recruitment
Kyuushu visit candidate.
Tokyo visit candidate. (Lower priority, not preferred: possible if things don't run too long, but depends on if they'res a slot for it.)
Something Special!

Hm.

Alright, so here's my reasoning.

We should deal with Kagoshima relatively soon - their powers let them project cleansing across a wide area, they're potential hires for Walpurgisnacht, and there's a bunch of hints that Something Is Up with them. As such, I didn't particularly want to leave them for next week. As such, since Saturday seemed relatively free, I wanted to move that meeting into that time spot.

Kyoto (and by extension the Shrine Maidens) is simply a matter of opportunity: if you look at the map, we'd need to overfly Kyoto to get to Kagoshima anyway - so we might as well get the group noted to be nice there, with a very useful power for Sayaka to copy, out of the way.

Similarly, because of where Hozuki is, it doesn't make sense to travel there on the same day we head to Kagoshima - they're on opposite ends of the country. And I don't want to leave Hozuki for later either, since I want to nip the chances of Kagari Hinata showing up in the bud. So, I scheduled that for Sunday.

I... don't think any of the stuff going on in Mitakihara is urgent enough to require a dedicated day ASAP?

With Regards to Kagoshima, and their mysteries especially, I'll point out here that we have IRC so there's a decent chunk of time to talk to them today, and any day really. I don't think it's so urgent we can't meet them on Monday or Tuesday. (Whichever day we don't set up for meeting Tokyo.)

Yeah, there's some stuff we'd want to keep from Kyuubey, but that's mostly dewitching.

This is fair enough and I think a good candidate for being one of our extra visits on Sunday. I'm very much in the camp of wanting to meet Tsubaki.

If there's a core thread to take care of it's this: We need to set up how Mitakihara grows before it actually happens. That's why I proposed all Saturdays being administration and suchlike both in text and and in the brochure back then (Yes, that whole thing and everything in it that was a serious set of suggestions.)

There's one bad end Oriko predicted that we haven't been able to take care of yet and every established power and refugee in this city is one more to contend and negotiate with --- which will make it harder to change or implement anything after the fact --- when we can circumvent all of that by setting up a structure to grow into here and now. We can avoid Tokyo's whole mess by planning from the start.

There is more than just handling urgent issues. We may also have a chance to take care of some of the lingering stuff that keeps getting booted aside, Madokami knows we have plenty of it, but each one should probably be attached to "How do we grow Mitakihara in a healthy way?"

Some thoughts?

Hang out with Shiogama if they want, as a group rather than a witchbomb talk today, and integrate them further into the city. If we have things well in hand it might be worth considering talking to the Animators about how they want they're part of city life to go forwards. Be it as one of the groups who's territory forms the edge of the Mitakihara community or as something more integrated.

While hanging out we can hang out with having while have a decently long talk with the Chidoya group over IRC/chat and any other needed groups (It's Tokyo, they have a reputation for a reason: Fitting it all in neatly today isn't likely, and besides: we can use the chance to talk to them about their experiences quasi-running a city of meguca) and maybe we'll have a little extra time for really testing the mental defense enchantments, since we never finished with those, and other Tokyo prep.

Unfortunately, it's a bit too soon to talk about integrating adults into Mitakihara's magical community, since we're planning on getting the Shizuki's help with that, but maybe we can discuss the possibility or look for competent therapists in the city in earnest.

Hell. it's not a school day (well, for Mitakihara middle school, other schools in the city may have Saturday active,) but who knows, maybe we can set aside time to track down and talk to the potentials. Having just more people in the know and part of the community in Mitakihara could also help out with the refugee situation, even if we do manage to dissuade them from becoming magical girls. It's one of those can's we kicked down the road for a while and it could help.

And on the meta side there's also the just a matter of pacing the quest as a story: Doing different things rather than meeting and greeting out of town for three days in a row. Because, let's face it. We're going to have a lot of meeting and greeting to do next week if we want our WPN prep to preempt and avoid Kyuubey's attempts at sabotage.

Do we know that the Soujus are coming Monday specifically, or is it just sometime this week? From what I remember, Oriko said this week, but I could easily be wrong.

We need to set up how Mitakihara grows before it actually happens. That's why I proposed all Saturdays being administration and suchlike
Wouldn't it make more sense for that to be weekdays, when the school schedule already means we can't spend as much time abroad? That's even kind of what we've been doing already, you just have to consider it codified.

A literal structure to grow into would be nice, though. The way we housed Shiogama is not scalable or sustainable.

No.

We planned that Saturday would be spent entirely on affairs within Mitakihara and I intend to stick to that.

So, due in large part to my former (? sure feels like it) status as a constant invalid, I have tended not to involve myself in scheduling things too far ahead. IIRC, the whole "Mami has shown me how to grow as a person" thing was something I had sitting around in my notes as a "hey do this sometime" rather than even trying to set a date for doing it beyond "eh, maybe do it on the weekend?" That was when the weekend was like a year(s) away IRL.

I do have a couple things to say here, though.

First off, the entire notion of having travel time every weekend for these cleansing trips -- it has to die in a ditch. There's a weekend 6 days before WPN and there's a weekend the day OF WPN -and- the day after. This weekend, the travel time looks okay. Next weekend it may very well not, as things may/not start to heat up as WPN closes in. The weekend after that we may very well not have any interest in going anyplace whatsoever, although to be fair if things work out for us that's not terribly likely to matter.

So, here's my first proposal: we've got a bloody teleporter. This weekend, let's test doing the trip via teleportation as much as possible. The travel times can die in a ditch, we can spend some extra time chatting with people if we want to, and if it works out then in the future if we need to get between cities fast, we'll know that we can rely on Sayaka for it. And if she protests, we can have some amusing dialogue where we bicker over whether it's proof of concept for security purposes or just so that we can spend more time at home with Mami.

Second. Kagoshima and Kyoto. Kagoshima is primarily interesting because Grief Controllers seem to deserve the capitalization, for one reason or another, and that sounds like it might be a Plot Element -- or not. I'm not impressed with the notion of expanding Southwest unless teleportation as a travel tool works out for us -- Kagoshima is way the fuck away from us. Kyoto is considerably closer, though, and if the Shrine Maidens truly have someone who wished to be Yukari Yakumo then they are a potential major asset.

Overall, however... At base, a lot depends on the effectiveness of Sayaka's teleportation. If she can, effectively, zap us to any point she's visited before, then we should world tour on Sunday, minus Kagoshima -- zap through Ishinomaki, Sendai, Tome, etc, then zap down to Tokyo for our business there, fly to Kyoto, zap to Asunaro, fly from Asunaro to Hozuki, then zap back home after that. Then on Monday, zap out to Kyoto, take a clone with us to Kagoshima, and zap back home. Because we lose little or no travel time by not going past Kyoto on Sunday.

Which brings me to Monday --

It'd be Wednesday, probably - Monday is for dealing with the Soujus.

Overall, I would say this is not the case. We shouldn't be bricking off all of Monday for dealing with the Soujus. Considering our options, actively looking for them would probably be a waste of most of a Monday. I can't say I actually consider the Soujus a strategic threat until after school lets out, at which point we need to not have Madoka + Hitomi exposed (would also be an awfully good idea to suggest that Homu tail Madoka in that morning, and sic a Sayaka clone on Hitomi?)... but I'm very much inclined towards giving them plenty of chances to show up on radar by themselves and get timestop'ed by Homura. If we post a Sayaka clone -- or a crow -- on every barrier in the city for that time period, that problem will solve itself, and we could get ourselves a nice harvest of seeds for various purposes after school, all while doing literally anything besides pattern searches the rest of the day. Like, going to Kagoshima.

There's one bad end Oriko predicted that we haven't been able to take care of yet and every established power and refugee in this city is one more to contend and negotiate with --- which will make it harder to change or implement anything after the fact --- when we can circumvent all of that by setting up a structure to grow into here and now. There's a lot of truth in this, and most of it really does add up to engaging Madoka and Hitomi over the matter, and potentially -- if necessary -- doing something to make a Considerable amount of money rather just the considerable amount we've been working with thus far. Setting up a formal corporation and officially hiring everyone who is working with us would also go a long way -- as would dangling some of our capabilities in front of Hitomi's mom. "I'm capable of pulling major objects out of the asteroid belt and into geostationary orbit and here's a video of me and my girlfriend having a date on the moon to prove it" would go a long way towards securing social/monetary credit, for example. Luring people out of school would be neither desirable nor socially acceptable, but luring them into part time jobs out of their clubs would be a different matter, and having Mado and Hito on permanent retainer to do basically administration and social planning and requisitions -- that sounds like an awfully intelligent first step towards an awful lot of things.

Beyond that I can spin up arbitrary amounts of social actions.

However, bringing this back around to the schedule.

Saturday. I can think of a lot of very productive things we could do Saturday that we really probably should do at some point. Formalizing a corporate entity and a bank account, and getting those two balls rolling and subsequently having a serious meeting with Hitomi's mother, would set the floor for us doing... basically all the things we probably should be ready to do re the refugee situation, up to and including being able to delegate its administration off to other people without it being a burden beyond what would be considered reasonable. We would be in a position to ask Madoka/Hitomi -- or hire someone else and not read them in on anything except what we want done -- to acquire, as was mentioned, literal structures, get them set up for housing, set up catering, etc etc, and meanwhile rely on Sayaka clones with clear seeds for cleansing if we absolutely had to do other things for one plot critical moment or another.

Sunday. We should do what I said about the cleansing trip, and we should date Mami. If Sayaka's teleportation doesn't work out for us, then IMO we skip Kyoto on Sunday and visit Kyoto + Kagoshima on Monday.

Monday. We have Sayaka stake out the city's barriers, leave the city to go to Kagoshima and Kyoto if we didn't visit Kyoto on Sunday, sic Homura on the Soujus if they show up, and emphatically avoid pattern searching the city for an entire day. Also we don't let Mado/Hito run around on their own (or rather, without a basic tail, anyway).

Edit: it's been brought to my attention that Yukariguca isn't with the Shrine Maidens. The Shrine Maidens have Useful Powers (TM) instead, and it was said by Nadia that they are kind and help others. All of those traits make them a very attractive contact for us.

Did I ever write that essay on why having a meguca who wished to be Yukari Yakumo on our side would be absolutely fucking massive? If not, I should do that.

The logic is that during the weekdays our friends are in school. During Saturday and Sunday however they can do things with us, including administrating the community, instead of us doing it all on our own.

If we administrated everything on weekdays we'd basically have to be the de facto leader of Mitakihara, regardless of our wishes or the image we try to present.

Plus the school schedule demonstrably hasn't really stopped us from going abroad on weekdays.

I'll note here that I don't plan Sunday's to be the exclusive day we go out of town in any way shape or form. Just a day dedicated to doing so where both we, and the rest of our friends, can do so readily. Same as above for the Administration day reasoning: When Madoka, Homura, Hitomi, Mami and Sayaka are in school they can't meet with us, and, as we saw with the Fukushima group, we kind have to finagle around to to arrange anything special. Plus we've seen how schooling can be distracting (Sayaka not really being in the state of mind to negotiate training days with Kyouko due to schoolwork.)

As far as Walpurgisnacht preparations go, I intend to recruit everyone we need before the start of the final week. I suspect we'll need the time for rehearsing for the day itself. Thus I don't foresee anything beyond next week Sunday besides as a "last call" for recruitment. (The flip side of course is that I do see a lot of recruiting this week.)

That its harder for Coobie to screw us all at the last minute if we've been prepared beforehand for a while is a nice bonus.

As far as travel time... I'm not sure that's the primary problem anymore. We've already experimented with supersonic flight and once that happens the primary problem isn't even so much travel time as just meeting time.

Also, point of Note: The Yukari cosplayer is with Tokyo. The Shrine Maidens have two healers, a conjurer and a power amplifier. Hiring/Danmaku battling her comes during the Tokyo visit.

Finally, given what we've just done with grief seeds, we may just be able to obsolete the need for frequent trips for a while especially as "we're prepping for WPN" is a pretty good reason for handing out buffered seeds so we don't have to worry as much about missing things.

If our friends administer everything we'd have to be a de jure oligarchy. I don't consider administering everything to be on the table whether it's us or our friends. Organize this shit horizontally, help where we can.

If you want to build the skeleton of a society before we have people to live in that society, we need to have a serious discussion about the kind of society that's going to be. More like how we handled Sabrina's last name than a normal vote.

I strongly doubt the "system breaking magical girl" can be anything other than an anarchist. :V

Some form of an-com probably, given her thoughts on providing for those in need.

Eh
I was always meaning to ask
If Sabrina feels like she's traveling too slowly for her tastes
Then why doesn't she go faster?
She's flying on Grief
I refuse to accept there are some arbitrary limits on her maximum velocity
I refuse to accept that even air friction is a thing, since Grief is demonstrably bullshit and has nothing to do with physics whatsoever
What stops us from voting

Making sonic booms over residential areas is generally considered a dick move. And going all the way to space is not practical if we aren't going between continents.
