Speaking of being Robin Hood, it's pretty obvious where that impression came from:
It was technically a negotiation, not theft - but it's hard to say that our presence didn't provide pressure to accept that offer, even if Rin wanted to make up for the Sendai Groups misdeeds herself.
Of course, we also went out of our way to make sure that the Sendai Group kept enough of their stockpile to live, actually explicitly shooting down Rin when she offered to return all the seeds. Oh, and we gave Sendai like a billion seeds worth of cleansing a bit later, too.
Still, I can totally see how that news could have morphed into "Robin Hood" given a few iterations of word of mouth distorting things.
The Sendai girls stiffen at the mention of their stockpile. "I'm not proposing to confiscate your Grief Seeds," you say smoothly, concealing the fact that you're, well, giving it serious consideration. "But I hope you understand my concern, Miss Minami."
An unexpected voice speaks up. "What if you did?" You glance at Rin in surprise, finding her giving Yumi a steady, unwavering look. "What if we were to willing give up some of that stockpile?"
"No," Yumi snaps. "I mea-"
Rin holds up her hand, an unaccustomed look of determination on her face, her shoulders set stubbornly. "No, I know that our s-souls are in our Soul Gems. I know we'll d-die if we don't get enough Grief Seeds. But haven't we deprived them of Grief Seeds?"
Chouko's motions are hurried as she moves over, hand already reaching out for the bags before she checks herself. She stops in front of Yumi, and hesitates for a moment before bowing to the gravity controller. "Thank you."
Yumi, looking faintly surprised, returns the bow in silence, before holding the bag in front of her. Chouko takes it with a quiet rustle of plastic, hands moving quickly and closing convulsively on the handle of the bag. She almost snatches it towards her chest, bowing deeply to Yumi, and then you in turn before she turns back to her friends.
