I'm inclined to let Yuki answer. It shows a degree of trust in our new partner.

We can provide a direction, and let Yuki finish it. And that is what she is giving us a space to do - define the sort of conversation.

[] She's pretty well known. Being human is a special privilledge. Killing and dying are hardly the best ways to enjoy magic. We work on that together, now. Hiring Yuki helps us find just and peaceful solutions, more like the better civilizations and less like animals.

Some combination of these?
Can we have character threadmark?

I have been increasing at lost on the character apart from the main character haha.

Personally I'm thinking letting Yuki answer in the interest of letting her maintain her reputation, at least at first. She is a mercenary and was the losing faction when we first met.

Not that I expect we would make her look bad or anything, but she might appreciate the gesture and it would look better coming from her mouth.

"Oh, you know how it is. I came to apologize for being the force majeure that stopped her group from fulfilling a contract, make friends and enlist allies in my quest to completely break the framework of the grief economy as it exists today. Clear seed?"

Its too bad the Avengers was released only in 2012.

"You know how in Superhero cross over stories the good guys start off fighting each other for some contrived reason before teaming up?"

*sighs*

You know Brina, if you continue blurting it out like that one of these days you're going to blurt it to the Yakuza-guca herself.

That was a really well put together vote we had, last cycle. Yuki's response seems to indicate we hit all the right notes. Good job, guys!

[] Let Yuki answer
- [] Any specific interjections?
[] Answer yourself
[X] Continue with standard spiel
[] Write-in (word count limit: 150 words)

[Q] "Nanoha style befriending." She even challenged you to a friendly duel!

[X] Let Yuki field that.
-[X] Elaborate on or reply to her answer if you feel like doing so.
-[X] Ask Yuki over telepathy if she's more comfortable with the mutual defense pact bring secret or public. If the latter, mention it.
[X] The usual sphiel.
[X] Break before leaving, if we get that far.

[] It's simple enough: Nadia recommended Fukushima's services to you and after meeting all involved thought a defense pact and a deeper working relationship would be better.

Is my Rochelle-sense supposed to be tingling?

BTW, we need to explicitly resolve to not mention the Yakuza anymore? I have no idea why that blurted out?
But repeating that is asking for unnecessary friction from NPC's.
[] Don't mention stealing from the Yakuza outside our group.

I just noticed a bit of an error. On the Magical Girl Groups page, the list for the Pleiades Saints is missing Kazumi.

If the Incubators don't care about the relative impossibility of a Wish, given their Sufficiently Advanced Technology, how the fuck has nobody wished Pokemon were real yet?
Are they bound by copyright law?

Very few people have world changing levels of potential, and fewer of those would use their wish on Pokémon.

It's almost certain that there are magical girls who wished for Pokemon, it's just that that wish would manifest as them getting a pet Pikachu, not warping the whole world.

MG:... ..... ....
Sabrina: Can I pet it?!

In other news, just for fun, a few months back I theorycrafted in a dream and the result was... odd:

Trans Megane Ono

It occurred to me that a desire to be seen as her true gender might result in magic that she'd have to actively use, and without knowledge of healing, she would naturally feel compelled to keep it on at all times. And likewise that it would lend invading her home that extra pit of poignancy.

Now, I've looked since then and I don't see any indication that it actually holds up but it took me for a loop so I thought it could take everyone else for a loop too.

I don't think that result is odd. To me it does seem very logical, especially considering that she constantly burns magic, and was what I originally thought on reading the first meeting.

The scene where Sabrina met her at her house provided alternative theories as to why she constantly burned magic, which made me less certain, but it is a good reason to explain why she seemed to be burning illusion magic while alone at home. It would relieve me if this theory were correct due to it being an easy to understand reason for her actions up until now.

There's also nothing that I can see that is evidence against this theory, although I may have simply not looked hard enough.

And then everyone looks at Sabrina weird because it turns out that an MG did wish for Eevees to be real and now they're just a regular pet no one thinks twice about. :V

To me, Ono's reactions indicate that she was socially excluded, likely at school, and her wish was geared towards qualifying for some sort of "in" group. Our repeatedly snubbing her was thus especially upsetting.

That's not to say she can't be trans, it would be an entirely precedented reason for social exclusion, but cis girls have those issues too. We also don't know if Kyuubey actually recognizes trans girls as girls.

"I'm not Robin Hood at all! I only steal money and gold from the Yakuza to pay for giving free room and board to poor refugees, as well as paying homeless magical girls to train my teammates!"

"..."

"...oh god, I'm totally Robin Hood."
