Sabrina is, in fact, a witch! She is the witch! The Teenage Witch, even! :V

Well, you heard it straight from her, folks. Case closed.

Anyway, @The Phoenixian , how's this as a compromise vote?

[X] After waking up...
-[X] Do normal morning things.
-[Q] Listen to Durga, Anna!
--[X] Chat with Mami. Don't bring up srsbsns yourself, let her do it if she wants.
--[X] See if you can multitask while enchanting grief. If it's awkward, instead stockpile enchanted grief during SCIENCE.

[X] Walk to school with your friends.
-[X] Have fun chatting. Fill everyone else in on your schedule, and invite them shopping on Saturday morning.
--[X] Ask Homura and Mami to keep each other company after school, while you go to Sayaka's training.

[X] Contact Yuki to confirm your meeting. Ask if it'd be possible to meet with the other Fukushima groups afterwards.
-[X] Contact the Shiogama refugees and ask if you could meet this afternoon.

[X] SCIENCE!
-[X] Set a timer.
--[X] Analyze your grief: is it homogenous, or are there "impressions" of who or when it's from?
-[X] Feed Aurora hope. See if any specific hopeful thoughts get a better reaction. In particular, try thinking of the IRC.
--[X] Show her that you're trying to help her.

Tried to keep the more important of my and @The Phoenixian 's science suggestions, and included our plan to get Mami and Homura to hang out. Still open to suggestions.

I'm making a small change here...

-[X] Ask Mami if she'd stick with Homura for a while after school. You'll see her at the gate, but you need to go to Kasamino with Sayaka...

OMG XF2 HAS STRIKETHROUGH ON THE HOTBAR

I LOVE XF2

Anyway, the only thing of value in here is that we shouldn't be doing
--[] Ask Homura and Mami to keep each other company after school, while you go to Sayaka's training.
when the rest of our friends are present if our aim is to get the two of them talking.

So I had a vision of Mami getting Homura to teach her how to make bombs and Homura just bemusedly teaching and Mami bring eager student

Anyway one of my goals is to see if we can't get Homura to genuinely enjoy things more, cuz in a lot of ways the suicidal ideation is very much a product of just not really wanting to wake up in the morning for your own sake, and big way I hope to pursue that is via getting Homura involved in, god, just anything BUT meguca business. The Madoka exposure and whatnot is really really good for her but it's just a start. I'd really like to find something she can do with other people at least semi-regularly, which she genuinely herself enjoys.

But madokami on high that girl has no hobbies... And had no time to develop any. Only thing comes to mind is weaponry.

--[X] Give her more of anything she seems to prefer.

Pulling from @Kaizuki's vote but yes, that's a fair compromise with the science. That said, I did have a reason for going through yesterday in general rather than focusing on IRCs, and I've expanded on it to make my intent clearer: Aurora is a forum witch, and while that's likely in the context of internet forums, we also did a lot of diplomatic talk, so I think it's worth looking at her reaction to real life group discussion too.

EDIT: Reversed order of operations WRT feeding Aurora. Added a section on trying to give her what she wants, and again made another section afterwards to tie into that.

I feel as though trying to communicate to aurora thst we are trying to *help* her, that we aren't an enemy right now and we don't mean harm, might be one of the biggest things when we go forward
Witches arebl victims, not monsters or obstacles, they are as much victims of the incubators machanations as anyone else, maybe even more so
And from q therapy perspective, I don't know if they're anywhere lucid enough to comprehend it but its important to communicate that we are not the enemy and we want them to feel better about themselves and the world if we cooperation later on, we don't want something similar to Hijiri's position where they think they're just some science experiment of some mad magical girl
(I mean we are slightly mad but not the bad kind of mad, just a cloud coocoolander

Well, if we can extend "self-control" mental enchantment to "lucidity" we should be able to bridge the gap, if it presents a problem.

Hmm...

I think I'm going to reverse the order of operations with feeding Aurora. Telling her that we want to help first means we can also tell her we're trying to give her memories and experiences that she wants. Will edit my previous post to reflect that.

...

*sighs* Dammit. I really want to test what we're doing with a guca so we can talk to someone who can give us a good grasp of what the actual experience we're sending is, and how to modify it to our wishes. Maybe Homura. Or Sayaka, if she chooses to learn about the witchbomb. Or get Oriko and Kirika to practice with each other and then teach or help us.

Why not just directly focus on the thoughts and emotions we want to communicate when we pour magic into Aurora's grief seed, with the intent to communicate?

That's basically what I'm trying, but if you're asking that I'm probably not doing a good job conveying that intent.

What, specifically, do you have in mind?
Magic is about feeling and intent. We're currently looking at calling up completely unrelated memories in the hopes that their content might indirectly communicate. Why don't we just *directly intend* to communicate, rather than playing Picard and Dathon at El-Adrel with her?
