har har. if we coulda mastered the barrier i bet we coulda used it to get to the moon and established a meguca lunar colony. maybe with rin's help instead . . . ? i believe this path leads to fully automated luxury gay space communism.

We have to build an actual (not grief) rocketship for the date on the moon. Astronauts are normal people, right?
"This is very nice, Sabrina, but there is one problem."
"What? What is it?"
"Well, for one, my Chibi-Brina floated away."
"Oh."
"I think I can see somewhere near... that's Mars, I think."
"...I can make a new one?"
"Yes, but what about all the food we can't prepare? And our friends? What are Sayaka and Homura doing while we're gone?"
"Oh, Sayaka's here too!"
"....What."
"Well, not here-here, but on the moon!"
"I- this is one of those things where it will make sense when you explain it, right?"
"Well, of course! I thought that, since this is such a great idea, I should make Sayaka a spaceship as well! Come on, isn't this a great idea for a first date?"
"Well, I-...."
"W-what's wrong?"
"First date?"
"Y-yeah."
"With who?"
"With Kyoko, duh."
"Kyoko... *gasps* That makes so much sense!"
"I know, right? Oh, I made Homura a spaceship too! She nearly fainted when I suggested she take Madoka out with it, though whether that was 'Is Sabrina really suggesting that we go in a rocket?' or 'AAAAAAAHHHHH Date with Madoka! Homura.exe cannot compute!', I couldn't tell."
"Both?"
"Both."

Rocketships.

Rocketships for everybody.

And then everyone had rocketships.

'I don't understand.'

"I guess I don't need to make a Wish in order for humanity to reach the stars."

"... The answer was rocketships all along?"

"HUE HUE HUE HUE..."

just kidding, it nice to need each other, lightly
NGL, being married has taught me just how much having someone around needing me is good for me at times. My wife isn't soul crushingly needy or anything but just knowing that there is someone out there that puts up with all my faults and still wants me around does wonders for my mental state sometimes.

Say, is Edinburgh off limits right now?

If we're like, "too much flamewar over there, let's not think about it", that's fine and I won't bring it up again. : )
But if Edinburgh isn't off-limits for that reason, it seems like we should really check that it's doing okay, and not, for example, being ravaged by newly freed megawitches.

(Also, I think it would be fun to build a spaceship and fly there.)

I think its more that its too far, and we have things we need to get done here, today. Maybe we can get someone else to scout it.

Well...

We've been warned time and again to not stretch ourselves thin - we can't get into the habit of going to new cities to save them, because someonething is going to explode while we're away and it could be badend worth.

It'd be nice if we could check on Edinburg without actually having to go there, maybe we can ask Nadia to do so? If it turns out something is exploding over there... it would be best if we didn't take care of it personally, in case of Feathers, or simply because one girl can't be putting out fires all over the world. Maybe we could, if problems abound at Edinburgh, hire some meguca to take care of it?

EDIT: Partly Homu'd.

The change in the hue of yellow makes me think that the latter bits are said by a different Mami, probably a Ribbon Chibi Mami.

Thanks for the explanation!
Have you got a link to the warning?

I seem to recall one of Oriko's prophecies tells us that Feathers might kill her if we leave Mitakihara for too long. But we could solve that by taking O&K with us.

(Investigation by some other method than Spaceship Field Trip seems fine too, just a bit less fun maybe)

We should find some wormhole meguca and get them to open one up that we can take with us so we can go anywhere and we're only we brief skip and a jump away from the Kures. :V

That just means she needs to make a lot of them.

Even if that wasn't (probably) prohibitively expensive, there might be some other limitation she has.

Of course, all this is just speculation. Maybe Portal-guca is that powerful.

And if really want instantaneous travel, we could just ask Sakura for a favor; hell, we could jump into timestop, go suborbital, and hit the gas. It's not like to worry about silly things like "ballistic missile defense systems" and "setting the atmosphere on fire with your plasma wake" while in timestop.

Eh. She definitely brought some shades with her (why wouldn't she) and none of those randomly turned into witches for no reason. I wouldn't worry about edinburgh. It'll be awhile before anyone even dares to go into that territory anyway.

There's evidence that this isn't proof against Feathers.

That's besides the point. Depending on how long we spend in Edinburgh, and whether we can pull gees in timestop (even then, our undead state would let us push the MOF several times faster than the Concorde), we'd be away from Mitakihara for no more than a few hours. We've been away for similar periods of time.

And if timestop is too much of risk, assuming we want to go to Edinburgh at all, we ask Sakura for a favor. Good chance she'd refuse, though. :/

Uh...source? I don't recall getting any info on her power.

Uh, Red Letter Day, our meeting with Nadia.

"Alright, uh," you take a deep breath before starting to rattle off your wish list. "Strategic level teleportation or portals, by which I mean a few hundred kilometers, danger sense that can find people before the danger happens, magic amplification, mind protection, uh... Very strong healers, exceptional enchanters?"

"Um," Nadia says, looking about as stunned as your friends do. Apart from Homura, of course, who looks more thoughtful than anything. "Uh. Locals will be better, I am assuming. You already know Tachibana Sakura in Sendai for teleporting, ay?" She continues at your nod. "Hiroto Nagi from Niigata. Uh, Yakumo Yukari from Tokyo has portals, but her range..." She shrugs.

Don't know where I got the numbers from, though.
