This surprise hammerspace Homu discussion just reminded me that there's a guca out in Akihabara LARPing as Yukari Yakumo.
We know that she doesn't have the full gamut of border manipulation (because that would no shit make her the strongest magical girl in the world, including Sabrina), but I wonder if her gaps actually behave the same way: They're essentially Yukari fucking around with the boundary between Here and There. Not only can Yukari pull off zany portal shit with them, but her house is implied to exist between dimensions, where only she can access it. If that girl's power is actually spatial manipulation rather than just fancy portals, she could offer a lot of insight regarding the use of our 4spaces and creation of artificial Barriers, among other things.

What if she did, just with Grief costs attached (in a way that couldn't be gamed away)? :thonk:

Hell, what sort of meguca are we gonna unleash with our whole end of grief thing? Not just meguca being able to spam magic, but there must be meguca out there with really strong magic but not enough capacity to fully pay for it.

Then infinite magic.

We're gonna make things better, sure, but there's gonna be no end of headaches to go around. :V
 
If Sayaka can't side-along teleport, we'd ought to go ask the ircs if they know a teleporter who wouldn't mind Sayaka copying them for some kind of payment.

It depends on what makes the cost go up. Does it have to be line of sight? Can portals be anywhere?

What I'm trying to get at is that they should make portals to space and let witches run into them. Hell, just put one end of the portal in front of the witch and the other end inside the sun! No more witch!

No more everything, but no more witch!
 
I just binged the story only thread over the course of the last few days. Not sure how active I'll be in the discussions as I always find myself lurking on forums. Are there any particularly good or notable omakes/discussions that I should find in the thread? I don't have the time to read through almost 6000 pages of posts to get all of the little gems.

Read To The Stars instead of PMAS omakes. There's an omake index on the front page if you're really interested, as well as fan art.

You could probably check out the omakes and shit. Also if you're already caught up, you can look at the posts in my signature.

Inside Candeloro's Barrier Mami's 4-space? I'm prety sure Riona could detect soul gems insside itt, much like Sabrina can detect and manipulate grief indside her 4-space.

Be careful with omake list. It's heavy, there was some 'ace shitposter' dude that just used to spam omakes all the time.

That's the thing about starting with a portal gun. :p

You need materials, vectors that aren't part of the starting kit, but need to be figured out.

I think a non-dead Chellguca should be basically Mami's kind of awesome.

Welcome, fair newcomer! While Formerly Ace Shitposter Onmur may have.... uh, "crowded" the omake list with his constant omakes, I would still recommend going through a bit of the list; maybe the first bit, when it was less crowded.

In fact, there's an omake on the previous page that I wrote! Yay!

As for discussion, I would recommend reading the discussion since Rionna appeared, if you can slog through it. It's long, and a bit ugly, but it will help tremendously with understanding the thread's current mindset. OOC, it's been about two months since we last talked to a character other than Rionna, so reading the whole thing over may help you better understand where people are coming from.

Now, I didn't become Lord of All Things by having morals, so might I recommend reading my own PMMM quest, Mami Said Knock You Out, which will update as soon as I wake up and my brain is able to process language? It's good, If I say so myself, and I do, and if you're looking for omakes there was one written to announce it! Coolio!

Anyway, welcome to the quest, and have fun!

But decaffinated coffe is great! Its for when you want the taste but can't have the caffeine at the moment.
