Except that we don't know the root of this conflict for sure yet so that third proposal won't help at all. The analysis seems spot on/plausible, but I disagree with going for that unless we can confirm that it's the case.
The main issue is that we can't use option 3 if we've allowed options 1 or 2 to be done. It makes the entire plan implausible. Thus, if we go for option 3, it has to be the first play, not the last.

I will agree that we need more information to confirm whether the speculation is correct, which is what will determine whether option 3 is, in fact, a viable solution.

The same bluff we made with Oriko? Surrender to us or we'll do X terrible thing?

Yeah, I'd vote for it. But Akiko would totally call us on it so possibly delegate negotiations when it gets to that stage
I did mention a 'social fu' with Akiko; ie: telepathic negotiations before we even set out. We're not doing the Oriko bluff. The Sendai group would have to understand what we're doing before we get there, because we don't want to actually fight them.

However Sendai is already aware that we have the big "I win" button with grief control. They saw us rip Sakura's soul gem off using the grief that was already in it. We show up in the big spectacle like we did in that first meeting, and the threat can be very believable to any observers.

Can you elaborate in more detail what your third option would entail?
Give me a few to write out a step-by-step plan.

Option 3 is very much possible after 2. Get the Sendai group to safety, then clarify how we're handling things with them once we talk them into going along with it. We don't want to brute-force them into anything if we can help it because that's just pointless and unnecessary- ideally, we could persuade them to do it.

Regardless, this plan is premature and asking for trouble until we can confirm the other team's motivations.

We'd have to make it a bluff or something. After getting them to safety, we'd have to get them to agree to pretend to be our "prisoners", then make the announcement.

It'd work, but we'd need to Infrastructure very quickly.

Threats are where we'll end up again if we go for a negotiated surrender. Just being realistic
Not necessarily- and making it clear starting a fight with us is pointless and more trouble than it's worth is acceptable on that front.

The biggest asset Sabrina has is that fighting her is fundamentally pointless. She won't compete for grief seeds, she's able and willing to make Witch hunting and farming less necessary, and her team usually has enough firepower to make getting into a fight with her a lot more trouble than it's worth even if she doesn't have the advantage.

I completely disagree with the "shenanigans" take on that vote. Getting a negotiated healing agreement with the Sendai girls actually going for it without being directly coerced is one thing...trying a trick with more holes in it than a cheese grate is another- mostly because the other team'd expect a trick of some kind and has no reason to trust us yet. Unlike grief cleansing, we can't really demonstrate we're serious.

Free tidbit of information: There were six Sendai girls. Then there were five, and then there were four. And now there's five.

Also:

Midori: You haven't been touching Sempai, have you?
Sabrina: Homura? Is there anything you need to tell Madoka?

(Sabrina was so surprised by the crossover that she made a mistake with her metaknowledge. Midori hasn't told her who "Sempai" is yet.)
Indexed.

EDIT: Clarification, I'm talking about their backstory prior to PMAS.

We are definitely going to need to ask more questions of them. Possibly of Homura as well if we can get her aside for a moment and can "accidentally" drop Mami from the timestop, seeing as it may be a sticky situation.

Given what the other two knew that Rin did not, I'm guessing she's the new member, and at least one of the formers was lost to witching.

I'm hoping none of the formers defected with a grudge though.

If someone witchbombs Mami over this, I am going to be sorely tempted to vote to just shred everything.
So if one of your reckless actions brings about disastrous consequences as some people predicted, you'll say "fuck it" and flip over the table?

...really?

Not even going to try fighting the bandwagon on this one. I just tried that before the latest LEEROY JENKINS bandwagon, and it went nowhere. Besides, a lot of the damage is already done at this point. So...

Question is, did the former Sendai girl(s) die/witch, or leave? More pertinently, how many people know about the witch bomb? Because the more people know about it, the easier our job becomes.

Of course not.
I'm saving the freakout vote for if we get Mami killed somehow.
and our going to the battle zone with her when everyone in the room says its a bad idea won't?
:V lets go for it! who give a **** about any more info and lets show favor to one group which will make talking to the others more difficult! NOTHING WILL GO WRONG BECAUSE WE CAN BLAME IT ON BRAIN DAMAGES IF/ONCE OUR PLAN FAILS! That's a good way of showing everyone we can be trusted!

I dunno about easier, but I'll agree the question is important. We should probably ask Homura on the way if she goes for this.

Callmmmmmmm. Think calmmmmmmmmmm thoughts.

The Witchbomb isn't likely from this. We just need to take a few precautions when we try fixing this, and learn what we can from the people we know before directly interfering with the non-Sendai group.

Omega, try making rational suggestions instead of simply taking potshots at everyone who disagrees with you. You'd make more headway that way.

From Firn's new info, the Sendai girls seem to have been hunted down by the other group, getting killed one by one, if those fatalities were only from PvP. I doubt they had left by choice, because safety in numbers is a big thing for MGs.

Agreeing with Rin being the newbie member... And seeing the value of fast and efficient healing, they now have a plan to get the support they needed. Which started the '5 seeds for consultation' scam they were running.

I estimate they got a few dozen seeds from that, which would be just enough to pay off all the merc groups that are converging at Sendai.

Actually that scenario presents an option for us... If these merc groups have several used or partially used seeds, we can pay them off that waynto turn around.
