On a side note, in addition to a general welfare check and such, when we get a chance to talk to Homura we need to ask her if she knows of any other Yakuza targets we can hit. We're getting short on spending money.

They live in a mansion with a rose garden big enough to park an excavator in and a gazebo for taking afternoon tea. That would cost tens of millions of dollars in the U.S. In Japan?

-[X] We really do need a psychologist to try and rehabilitate people like Anri. We can't just imprison her for life, especially when meguca are effectively immortal. Have to try to cure her.

(We should not let this be forgotten. We desperately need a shrink.)

We've agreed to hit another Yakuza base soon-ish.

I'm not sure about details, but I remember when we talked about it, we asked if she wanted to go then and there, but she just looked at us.

Right, and that's the issue. Because the only honest answer Oriko can give to that is "if necessary, yes." Oriko would absolutely kill Madoka if she thought that otherwise Madoka would become Gretchen and, y'know, kill everyone on Earth.

"anticipate" is asking her to make a probabilistic prediction, not to invent spurious hypotheticals. Even disregarding that, Oriko thinks Madoka is required to save the world. If Madoka's continued survival dooms the world, then the world is doomed no matter what and we can probably get Oriko to agree not to do anything in that case, which lets her truthfully say "no" to the second question.

I do not recall this. I remember us asking if she wanted to go on an long-distance arsenal-stealing trip, but not about more yakuza raids.


EDIT: Searching the story only thread for "yakuza" did not turn up any mentions of it.

We have an at least 100m^4 radius of extra-dimensional storage space. At this point, we can't just steal from the base, we can steal the base.
