Reminder that talking isn't obligatory. It's totally doable to just crush Hijiri in a blanket of grief (unless I forgot something about how this works).
That would be shooting our chances with Hijiri in the face.

We should totally just restrain Hijiri if we think there's nothing we can say that will convince Hijiri. Taking the time limit into account.

This is the challenge.

[x] Hijiri:
-[x] Restrain her.
-[x] "Yes. I meant what I said though."

[x] Airi:
-[x] Inform the others of her position.
-[x] Incapacitate her asap.

Short and to the point.

A reminder. While the worst case scenario has a chance of happening if we don't go for the restrain option, and Hijiri and Airi might join forces... and later get stomped with extreme prejudice... losing us much chances of therapyzing Hijiri...

Mami does have a ribbon on Hijiri.

So the chances Hijiri gets off a successful Limiti Esterni are not that big.

if there was a time to drop the fact that we're an artificial human too, this would be it

the only other person here is Mami and we've been hinting at her for a while now

so

[X] "I'm an articifial human, too. Helping people is the purpose I chose for myself. Let me help you."

this is actually viable right now

Guys this is a critical moment we have with Hijiri. Either we can convince her to fully stand down, or we may end up with a full time enemy on our hands. Let's try to tell her that we wish for her to come out of this better then where she was when we came here. Also Hijiri needs more encouragement to make her life hers. I don't think we provided enough advice there.

Problem there is thst Anri is inbound. We don't have time to beat around the bush

So...

- Full attention on Hijiri. Mami watched our back, as always. Be honest with Hijiri, but it's her choice if she wants to fuck up or not.

- All Witchbombed meguca on Anri duty. Everyone else should stand back until things somehow go really bad. Mami can snipe from afar, so she can still help.

- Oriko is the closest canon has to a Social guca. Ask her to deal with Anri.

[ ] Telepathy: Ask Mami to track Anri and protect you if Hijiri turns hostile.

[ ] Disconnect from Ribbon Grid.

[ ] Full attention on Hijiri:
-[ ] You meant everything you said. You want her to have her own life, one she can be proud of. Ask her to give you a chance.
-[ ] Mind the time limit.

[ ] Either way, ask the Pleiades to pick up Hijiri.

[ ] Anri.
-[ ] Move in alone, to talk. Mami on overwatch.
-[ ] O&K get here ASAP. Ask someone to fly them in if necessary.
-[ ] Unless things go really awry, you (three) will face Anri alone.

[ ] Oriko:
-[ ] Anri already hates us. We're bad cop. Oriko's task is to use that and convince Anri to stand down.

We ought to turn the MOF so that Anri is behind us in Hijiri's line of fire, preferably turning it while making it non-obvious to Hijiri that we've done so.

Guys, Hijiri could be about to attack us with an antimagic blast. We can't afford to try talking it out.

At most, we have time to say, "I meant everything I said." Then we bind her and turn her away from us, so as to make shooting at us harder.

Then we gem-yank Airi. No need to fight her; just yank her gem as soon as she comes into range. Then we can revive her on our terms, at whatever time is best.

Totally impractical. We aren't at the right elevation or angle, and I doubt Hijiri's attack even has the range to reach Airi. Airi is also moving/roof hopping, so the likelihood of hitting her with it is minimal. Also, we'd still get hit by the blast, which defeats the whole point.

Just keep Anri in the line of fire constantly, so that in the worst case scenario Hijiri knocks her own pseudo-ally out along with Sabrina. Then Mami can handle cleanup.
I'm pretty sure we're sitting on a rooftop, so beyond the ridiculous low chances of this working, we'd have to lift off first. We're pressed for time as it is.

"I meant everything I said, Hijiri. Look, I don't want to tell you how to live your life. This is your decision. Whatever you choose, I'm going to make sure you get it, as long as it doesn't involve hurting anyone. Help me help you. You deserve to to be happy however you want to be."

I feel this is what we're going for, but less verbose since Anri will be on us in a minute, and we need to meet her halway though, I think.

Also, I see a problem with any wording which contains 'let me help'. I'm not sure it won't trigger Hijiri's dependance issues.

Another potential track though time to deliver it may be an issue: Objectively speaking, Anri and Hijiri are probably the lowest offenders (so far) of those we've fought. Their burglary isn't exactly Oriko and Kirika's arson and battery, let alone Sendai's warmongering and extortion.

Hell, just looking at their motives, Hamasaki Akiko is basically Anri plus a few years with a team and a plan behind her.

We've happily worked to help all the latter and the Sendai group were basically the first recipients of our.

Kinda thinking:
[] We meant what we said. All they're guilty of right now is burglary, grief, and panic. We've made peace with and aided worse.

I'm not sure it's the best way to put it, because it's kind of accusatory.

It'd be saying "Everything you've done on your own has been a fuck up. But hey, it wasn't that much of a fuck up!"

So my idea for how to deal with Anri:

Get Oriko to Social her. Talking is something Oriko does better than meguca'ing; meanwhile, Anri already hates our guts, so Oriko should have a better chance to talk her down.

Now, the thing is, after reading Sadness Prayer, I have remembered and had it thoroughly rubbed into my mind that Oriko. Absolutely. Sucks. At. Combat. Garbage tier.

Oriko is slow; probably slower than Sabrina. Her attacks don't do much damage in comparison to other megucas' attacks, nor do they travel that fast, nor can she spam. Without her powers... sending her to Social Anri without Kirika to protect her would be retardedly dumb bad stupid.

Thing is, still, there's not that much Kirika can do to protect Oriko if Anri turns violent. Well, we'd Gem Anri if she did, so hopefully that's OK.

Now, keeping in mind that talking Anri down might be an impossible task... maybe we should just Gem her, as some people already want to do.

Proposed plans to deal with Anri so far:

- Social at her. Rather, have Oriko Social at her.

- Ask Mami to capture her from a distance.

- Gem her. Lichbombs for all! (Allows us to focus on socialing Hijiri more afterwards).

- Snipe her with a laser pulse. Less chance of lichbombs for all. (Allows us to focus on socialing Hijiri more afterwards).

- Twelve meguca pile up. Except someone would need to watch Hijiri. And the Witchbomb risks.

- Meme her down.
