Honestly, all else aside, this really isn't a situation where we want to test if Kirika's yandere love for Oriko carries over to whoever copies her power, which seems entirely possible (it's literally what she wished for).

Sayaka being hit with the "Oriko rabu" effect sounds like super fertile grounds for omake writing, though. Bonus points if ultimately Kirika has to dispel the effect to end it.

If that's a concern then Sayaka should copy Kirika via Kazumi's power which should avoid that.

Would 'nudge' be an acceptable replacement?

Or maybe we could phrase it as US asking a favor of both Sayaka and Kirika. That should avoid any dilemmas of Sayaka not wanting to owe Kirika anything.

Not the kind of Omake that could be posted here! Although, if I were going to write something like that, I'd probably put it on Archive of Our Own with some sort of PMAS tag. Of course, I would never write a lewd PMAS Oriko/Sayaka fic. There are better pairings for that
 
By the way, supposing everything goes fine enough, and we catch the thief today, solve the situation, and Oriko doesn't suddenly but inevitably betray us, how about we confirm that things are OK with Homu, declare that relaxation time is necessary and mandatory after a mission well done, throw a wad of bills at Oriko and Kirika, and tell her to go have fun in the city?

They can have a proper date then. :D

And we can take Mami somewhere, too!

EDIT: Double date probably a bad idea unless Sayaka goes hang out with Kazumi. Triple date probably a bad idea, what with Kazumi's better half being 6 whole meguca. :p

I love the idea, but unfortunately we have a small group of immigrants in our city being schmoozed by Homura.
 
If we somehow finish this quickly, Mami and Sayaka will probably want to be taken back home so they can attend school. Which means we'd be there to greet the new girls.

Not sure who to vote for now... I still actively /don't/ want us voting for anyone to copy Kirika or Oriko until after their house arrest is over (or substantially released, beyond another "child soldier field trip" event.) Oriko is worse as she's already having issues (her power blockage), but either way. And since we seem to have an option with Umika helping as well as at least one Kirika to probably cover any catastrophes...

Food for thought: How proactive have we been lately? How reactive have we been lately? How can we go about being more proactive without trampling over other people (Wulfenbaching)? How often should we be trampling over other people for their own good? We desperately need to delegate more, but at the same time, trust implies letting people taking things out of our hands and then reacting to the consequences of that.

For instance: I am super uncomfortable with the Niko situation right now, but I don't know how much we can or should do about that right now. Everybody knowing about Hijiri is good, and they don't seem to be under the impression that she's an enemy, but Niko going to track her down herself is about the last thing we wanted to happen, due to potential doppelganger shenanigans. Alternately, if the switcheroo's already happened (which we haven't found a way to verify for certain), then Mirai is at significant risk of getting ganked before Hijiri goes underground-- even if she survives it, her psyche and Soul Gem might not.

Shadowruns are the enemy, but when, where, and to what extent are they justified?
Edit: Since Niko herself pointed out that she and Hijiri are literally the same person (plus or minus a few things), we should hammer out with her a way to ensure we can always tell the two apart, for OpSec reasons.

There are lots of ways that we could be more proactive without walking all over people. Seeking out the mentorguca from Suzune Magica and keeping her from witching out to prevent that entire mess from coming to pass, for one.

The thing is, I think we need to stop setting aside "days" of R&R between each task. It's time that we don't have. After the Asunaro business is settled, or at least stable, next time Mami's in school we should use that time to travel to wherever-the-fuck-Suzune-Magica-takes-place and at least stabilize things there so that mentorguca doesn't end up dying before we get around to her.
