If it's not worth fighting over, then don't fight over it. That's your prerogative.

We already did a poll. Several polls, in fact. We chose to have a surname rather than to not have a surname, and we chose a name (even if it's not one I'm thrilled with), as well as some runners-up for alternate identities. The people already made a decision on this matter, months ago.

Look, common sense says that if you're not a pop star and you hand someone a driver's license with only one name on it, it will raise some eyebrows. Yeah, Yuuki says that it "should be possible" to not have a surname (emphasis hers), but she's also looking at us askance when she says it, so it's presumably not normal or recommended. Why create extra problems for ourselves when three extra letters on a piece of paper can avoid it? The only reason to have this ID made in the first place was to avoid drawing attention and be able to function in society, right? Narratively speaking, we could have gotten by without it, just living with Mami and officially not existing, but we wanted to have one. We wanted to be able to do more for people than just what we could accomplish from the shadows.
 
Okay, the voting delay period needs to be longer. This update was posted while I was asleep, and the delay period would end before I got off of work, if I worked on a normal schedule. Considering that I live in the Pacific Standard Time zone, and that most people's work schedule is such that they won't have time to check the forums in the mornings before work, such a short delay period kind of defeats the point.

And yes, we definitely should have a surname. It'd look quite suspicious if we didn't, and it's kind of a pain to stand out so much whenever we introduce ourselves with just one name--like we're being rude whenever someone else introduces herself with both names. Additionally, Vee is a good surname--nothing silly, grandiose, edgy, or particularly bizarre. It also fits with the theme (an SV self-insert of sorts).

Vee also consistently won polls and discussions, so it deserves to get the recognition it won.

I can totally understand why they wouldn't want a clear seed- it is literally like a million dollars, and people who find out about them and not about our willingness to give them out could get very... possessive, of such a thing.

Also I feel bad seeing these girls so intimidated since the last time we were here we beat the crap out of everyone. Granted, it was necessary, but still.
 
So, planning for next update:

- Tell Yuuki to hold on; ask Mami what she thinks of "Sabrina Vee". Tell Yuuki to make that our name if Mami likes it.

Beyond everything, even if it wasn't my first choice of name, I've been waiting for this for so long. I want this to happen already.

Not only would we get to be S.V., we'd fit with the theme every canon meguca's got of having a surname that could be used as a name, the name Vee's got that meta-relationship towards Homura... And we've already decided this and waited on it for a while.

- Ask about tracking down Kuroki's phone. If necessary, explain that it's a meguca's phone, and that meguca might need help.

Because Sabrina helps people. :p

- Check how Sayaka's holding all those powers. Can she hold them all no problem? Is she crystalizing them? If she's not trying all those powers already, we should ask her to; I figure every other meguca would have a thing or two to say about how to use their own powers. Sayaka could be a crowd favourite.

- Tell the Ishinomaki group that we hope they'll change their minds about the Clear Seed. Explain that we hope to distribute them to every meguca we can, so they should not need to worry about being attacked for it after we get around doing that. Mention that we're gonna make the same offer to both Sendai groups, including the hopefully reformed group Rin took over.

- We'll be busy today, but maybe ask if we can all meet up just to have fun some time? Just because we're meguca, it doesn't mean we can only meet for fighting or handing out services.

What better way to make peace after that beatdown last time, than getting together to have tea. :V

- If nobody else's got anything to add, get going?
 
What if we just said "If someone tries to take it from you, just give it to them and we'll make another one for you"? And then tell us who they are, so we can politely and calmly explain to them how rude they are being.

Then I think they'll suspect it's a trap. That would also mean we'd have to track them down, lest stories of the girl with an endless grief seed rampaging around Japan that isn't Sabrina get around.
 
Problem with that is that the theives would most likely commit violent acts, including permanent and final, to show they mean business before they ask for the seed.
 
I think the girls here would be a lot mote comfortable taking a Clear Seed after we spend some time spreading them around and thus reducing the risk of theft

Makes sense even given what they just went through

We'll be back, and we have every opportunity to make the offer again
