I mean the whole plan rests on "device to do one pre-programmed thing with grief" being substantively different from "device to allow people direct access to grief control power" since everyone's broadly in the agreement that the latter is too dangerous to hand out.If it were possible, us making the trinket would be basically the same as Sayaka making the trinket, yeah?
Yeah, this trip is all social, no arguments there. But there are so many things that can come from this. If she copies from Mami again, does the trinket stay? Can sayaka just have hundreds of stored Mami-powers in her bag?Well, I'm glad the Grief Deletion didn't work. It's one of the better scenarios for that experiment.
And absolutely we need to give Sayaka a big pat on the back. Did we even bring that up? I know we wanted to have her check for a way to store powers, but if we didn't tell her than it's another example of Sayaka having way more initiative than we give her credit for.
@mistfist : Oh hell yes we need to check that once we have time for Science. I still think we should stick to Social for the duration of the trip, but if Sayaka can copy and just hand out powers, that would make the most sizable powerhouse on the team. And probably means Homu will NEVER EVER EVER let her copy her time powers.
I think there's also an implication that any Grief-bending ring will fail there too - If it were possible, us making the trinket would be basically the same as Sayaka making the trinket, yeah? Still worth looking into, but I wouldn't plan on it being a thing we'll have eventually.
Gah, MamiBrina is adorable. That's interesting and very, very usefu-
You twitch in surprise at the touch of Mami's warm finger on your earlobe. You glance at her, and she pokes curiously your earlobe again.
"Your ears," she say, as if that's all the explanation she needs to provide. She tugs on the shell of your ear curiously, apparently intrigued by how far it sticks out.
It's not everyday that Sayaka comes up with something like that!Sayaka did something interesting, true, but let's not get too carried away.
Please increase your praises to the blueberry, heretic!Sayaka did something interesting, true, but let's not get too carried away.

"We are," Mami agrees, cuddling your arm with both hands. "Shall we?"
You take a seat on a convenient piece of venting. Mami curls up against your side with a pleased noise, tucking her head against your shoulder.

"We will, Homura," you say, suppressing giggles as Mami reaches around you to toy with your other ear. "You too."
"Um, stay safe!" Madoka says as the call ends.
You smile at Mami, pulling her a little closer with an arm around her waist, and she's perfectly content to cuddle against you.
You sit crosslegged with Mami on your left and Sayaka on your right, though rather unlike Mami, your blue-haired friend isn't leaning against your side. You all snack companionably on the curry rice, though Sayaka goes through hers rather quickly.
You do earn a look of fond exasperation from Mami, though, who's wrapped her arms firmly around your waist so that she can tuck her chin on your shoulder.
You managed to store your copy of my magic?"
"Yup and yup!" Sayaka says proudly. "Cool, eh?"
You're not absolutely certain, but you don't think Sayaka's Soul Gem is filling any faster than it had when she'd had only Mami's ribbon powers. Perhaps the difference is so small you don't notice it, or perhaps you're remembering wrong, but you don't think so.
We're taking her to meet Rin in a couple hours. Might be interesting to see what she gets out of copying both her and Yuma?Take her to meet Yuma and store that power, and she's basically a strict upgrade to vanilla blueberry.
I don't suppose she said if she got any results on that phone trace we asked for yesterday?Sayaka's still waiting for the food, so you take the opportunity to call ahead to Ishinomaki - you get Inoue Yuuki, the tech-focused girl, and you let her know you're heading over.
It's the result I was expecting, honestly.Well, I'm glad the Grief Deletion didn't work. It's one of the better scenarios for that experiment.
@Kaizuki
Fine, I'll just tag you instead. I've already agreed with the general thread consensus that what Sayaka accomplished is interesting/useful. That being said, I easily can see posters getting over-hyped about her powers and start speculating about things that are beyond her Potential.
