There's really no equivalent to Mami's traumas in RWBY that I can think of.
I think the closest would be Pyrrha. She feels lonely too, and is basically a senpai to Jaune.

A little bit of clarification, because Sabrina should realise this: Nadia's not looking for backup, she's offering as a kind of social activity, the implication being that Mami asked to accompany her on hunts before.
Befriending Nadia is a good thing.

Michiru still being alive is good. Oriko might have been able to confuse Michiru and Kazumi, but Nadia wouldn't have, and I can guarantee she would notice the anti-Incubator barrier. Did Nadia actually meet her in person, though? How recent is the information?

Regardless, I don't think this should change our plans to go to Asunaro tomorrow. Michiru witched out due to a combination of being witchbombed (per the last page of her diary, but this might not (yet) have happened) and being a martyr senpai (handing out Grief Seeds to all of her students to ensure that they're safe and happy at the expense of taking case of herself). We still have no idea how close she is to imploding, given that she's a natural optimist and was able to hide her condition from the seven people she was closest to and in frequent contact with.

Airi may not be a threat yet; depending on the circumstances, we may still be able to defuse her-- either by saving Yuuki, destroying her Witch somewhere where Airi can't see it, detaining her Witch for SCIENCE purposes, or preventing The Rat from telling her about it. Even if Kyuubey does tell her (which would be his first openly hostile act against us), we're way more capable of shouldering her grudge then the Pleiades vis a vis Gensokyo Friendship.

Kanna exists, but she may still be ignorant; if so, we want to do our level best to keep her ignorant and avoid socialling her because it would be social landmine for Niko. If she isn't... I realized she's a lot more dangerous than I thought she was on account of Stranger powers. Connecting to people without them noticing means she's a doppelganger who can copy powers; after Niko dies, she infiltrates the Saints by pretending that the real Niko was a spare body she got from her wish (close enough to true that Jyuubey corroborates it, if the other way around) and proves it by using Niko's alchemy powers to blank the face of her corpse. We need to be on high alert at any time we can detect an unfamiliar magical girl in Asunaro, because Kanna copying Sabrina is goddamn terrifying.

Soujus are still a wildcard. Normally I would say they're fucked against the full-strength Pleiades, but prophecy has them either winning or avoiding a fight to head to Mitakihara. If the Saints haven't launched their pogrom yet, the duo might simply hunt some of the surplus loners in the city and then move on, ignoring the local power bloc. They'd be dangerous to Kyouko, Sayaka, and maybe Mami if they make it to town, but get absolutely dumpstered by Sabrina or Homura.

Doing social bonding with Nadia is important since we will be working with her more often and it let us assess her skills, oh Sayaka too.
In time she would be part of our group unless someone kills her for the clear seed.
Let just leave Homura and Madoka for a while, honesty I dislike her tone just because Madoka got worried/frightened since I get the impression that she already knows magical girls stuff is not fun and games since she did went in the barrier before and all of Sabrina's talks.

It's about one when Nadia stretches, hooking an arm over the back of her seat. "I should go. I will not be leaving Mitakihara until tonight. But I need to hunt," she says. "Mami, where is a place with more Witches?"
We can have two waifus, right? We need to have a talk with Mami.

And with Homura, but damn...

We should go on that hunt, to show off our powers, get to see Nadia in action... We should have enough time, I think.

I won't discount the possibility that Kanna could copy Sabrina, but since Sayaka just flat out can't do it, I think other power copiers would have similar trouble.
...
Needs more "DDDOOOOODDGGGGEEEE!"
That's where Kyouko training Sayaka comes in. Plenty of time for "DDDOOOOODDGGGGEEEE!".

"Your potential must be -this- high to use my powers" :V
The reason why I'm worried is Kanna's 'connection' powers are loosely defined and bullshit strong, though, due what appears to be high potential. Don't forget this is the girl who kludged together a beta-Walpurgisnacht out of a bunch of collapsing Soul Gems.

More importantly, we wouldn't know for sure until we found out, as stated in the terms of her wish. It doesn't have to be Sabrina, either; Most of Mitakihara-dan's powers would be a pain in the ass to fight against. Doesn't have to be copying powers, either; just shapeshifting into us at the wrong place/time/saying the wrong things with our face could seriously complicate or outright torpedo Socials.

Goddammit, I wanted to spend that little session with Homura convincing her to reveal more stuff to Madoka. Having and sharing a plan is a great way to regain certainty.

Somehow, I don't think this is the perfect time to tell her we feel Madoka needs to know more.
Her jaw tightens, eyes squeezing shut. "I don't want Madoka to know," she grinds out between gritted teeth. "I don't want her anywhere near being a magical girl."

OK, how about this?

-We agree to the Witch Hunt.

-Before going, tell Homu there's a couple of things we want to talk before leaving today.
EDIT: And promise to do better in the future.

-Witch Hunt.

-Talk with Homura. Inform her of KBSecretSwordOfDamocles.exe (ask to wait until we're back and we'll tell her everything) and tell her that, while we wish we had breached this in another way, we know Madoka needs to know about the loops (and about the promise?).

-Call ahead to Ishinomaki and Sendai. Go to Ishinomaki first; Sendai's the one which might give us trouble, so leave that one for last.

Does that sound like a general plan, Homu-wise?

EDIT: Point is, Homu is in a bad mood, so I want let her know we have IMPORTANTTALK to do, give her some space/time to stew/think/whateverhomudoes while Witch Hunt happens, then have that important talk we really need to have with her before leaving.

Or at least, let her know we really need to have that important talk today, after the trip, if not before.

"I know, Homura," you whisper. "I know, I get it, and I'm right there with you. I'm sorry. I slipped up."

This is a bad time for it, but I don't think we should have said "right there with you" or anything like it. I mean, we have to put it more delicately than this, but the simple fact is, Homura's approach has never worked. And this is directly at odds with our goal of making Madoka feel more included without contracting.

Is 05:00:00 5PM or 5AM?
What exactly do you see? The text for me says "In 4 hour(s) and 52 minute(s)", and the mouseover hover says "3:00 PM"

"2017-04-19T05:00:00+10:00"

The +10:00 part is a time zone (sort of), corresponding to... I didn't know you were from Australia, @Firnagzen. The 05:00 means 5 AM that time. I think you have to have Javascript enabled for it to work properly.

Sounds like a plan, Onmur, though I think the "Madoka should know more" talk can probably wait.

I'm concerned that we just reassured Homura that we'd do things her way. If I could, I'd vote to not have said the line I quoted.
