Hooboy. Sayaka is the one who needs apocalypsebombed. She gets that we don't want Madoka to contract, but not why she cannot, under any circumstances whatsoever contract.

That would mean Witchbombing Sayaka.

...you know, I worry that Witchbombing Madoka will lead her to making the same wish she made in canon. Which...well, perhaps it could work if she simply worded it a bit differently? Like, instead of wishing to remove every Witch in existence with her own hands, she could just wish that every Witch in existence would be removed? That way, she'd be perfectly fine herself instead of getting ret-gone'd out of existence.

...I'm starting to think that we should really take care of Asunaro soon. You know, before Mitakihara gets flooded by refugee magical girls from all over. We're also going to have our hands full juggling all of the refugees once they come in numbers. I mean, where are they going to live? Where are they going to get food, or money, or clothes? There are only so many ATMs to rob, after all. With Clear Seeds, they won't need to hunt to survive; with so many MGs around and so many of them not attending school, it's likely that any Witches will be quickly found and eliminated. Which means they'll have plenty of free time. The question is, how do we make use of that time?

Asunaro is slated for tomorrow, come hell or high water. Hell, depending on the news from that direction (which should be the next order of business), we should start gearing up for the trip today. Primary mission objectives are to prevent the Pleiades from self-destructing in spectacular fashion and to befriend Niko, Umika, and Michiru/Kazumi #13 in particular: Niko and Umika form the core of our nascent SCIENCE division (with the former being our Fabricator General), and Michiru/Kazumi is our secret weapon in what is about to become an apocalyptic clusterfuck of The Socials (Michiru is >95% dead at this point, but we won't know for sure until we get there).

We can construct a hidden village in the Mitakihara/Kasamino rust belt, but filling out the refugees' time is probably going to be the biggest problem. Many of them are just going to be happy to be able to live a normal life, go to school, and not constantly risk death or worse, but the hotheads will have the samurai problem: A warrior caste without anything to fight starts making fights. We can put them in charge of hunting down the remaining witches in Mitakihara, obviously, and that basically makes them our de-facto police force.

Ugh, two problems that I just realized: First, we have no idea how many of these girls are going to be pre-Witchbombed, and we don't currently have a plan (that I know of) for handling the memetic hazard. "Loose lips sink ships", and all that. Second, we need to let surrounding territories (e.g. Sendai) know things are about to get fucking busy over here, especially if we want to form a regional power bloc. I've mentioned before that only the big cities (i.e. Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka) can really fuck with us, but once Nadia starts spreading the word... Well, to other meguca teams that are involved in regional politics and can read between the lines, it's going to look a lot like we're amassing an army, and they might just decide on a preemptive strike to prevent us from growing powerful enough to conquer Japan/ THE WORLD, which we totally could. Sabrina is a retardedly strong force multiplier.

That seems like a good way of erasing magical girls as a concept. Madoka's wish worked because she turned herself into the sentient application of interpreting her wish.

Does anyone else think we need to very carefully witchbomb Mami before the new arrivals start showing up? Because some of them will know, and all it would take is one errant comment from someone who doesn't realise or care that Mami doesn't.

That would mean Witchbombing Sayaka.
Not necessarily. I've already brought up some ways to get across the idea that Madoka's contract will destroy the world without going into specifics regarding the witchbomb. But if it's Sayaka that we're trying to convince, we may not even need to bring up the threat to humanity: the fact that it will kill Madoka would probably suffice.

While we're not quite clear on how, something about Madoka's high potential causes her to burn herself out within moments after contracting. If Sayaka knew that Madoka would Red Ring of Death if she became a meguca, she would be dead set against the Madocontract.

Finally there's talk about it! I really hope we can get Kazumi #13 and Michiru well let that fate go since if she's alive the others, would not go into their mad scientist phase.
Also I find Niko's murder set off their downfall somehow we have to get through.

About the whole hidden village thing, we could ask Nadia how to cut red tapes or get specialized girls that can forge identification and bribe Japanese officials since we will get foreigners. Honesty we do have a lot of gold bars so shelters and such is covered, just need to go overseas to get it converted into cash or find magical girls with underworld contacts.
As for those free time get them into research groups and set goals for our future along with studying mental well being like those group therapy which Sabrina should sit on, since a burden shared is a burden halved and all that.
Sabrina can't do all of that thinking herself.

"Mm. Before I forget, yes," Nadia says, turning her attention to Mami. "The Shiogama group is, mm, broken two months ago. Tanaka Misato was killed by a Witch. Watanabe Noriko survives, along with Saito Akemi. Not you, begging your pardon." She nods at Homura, and then at you. "With your permission, if they want, I send them here?"
Yaaaaaaaaayyyyy it's workiiiiiiiiiing-

Oh god we're getting so many traumatized gucas, why didn't we Wish for therapy powers, again?

I can confirm that Sabrina (and Mami) do not, in fact, wear the same thing every day. :V
Unless Mami and Sabrina count as accessories for each other. With how much they hug and cuddle, I could see them counting as wearing each other.

There are worse things to be for the purposes of becoming the cornerstone of a magical girl nation than the person who wished to become the biggest possible beatstick and the immortality dispenser rolled into one.

They are not part clothing Onmur. That's Ryuko Matoi.
Considering Grief as an extension of Sabrina, Sabrina could be part clothing simply by making clothes out of Grief.

So we know, we can become part clothes anytime we want.

... Actually, considering our Grief ring... we are already part jewelry!

"Homura already took measures to prevent that," you say, smiling faintly at Madoka and giving Homura a nod. "She hacked the meteorological agency's computers, and they'll wind up predicting the a freak supercell storm on the day of Walpurgisnacht. The people will be safe, and for the rest of us? We'll be right here to beat it."
Little typo.

You nod in firm agreement. "And well - that's part of what we're here for today," you say, and extend your hand to Nadia. "I was going to break this more diplomatically, but just to bring everyone to the same page, Nadia, Madoka, what I want to do is to bring in as many magical girls as is practical. And to be honest? Killing Walpy stone dead is going to be a side effect."
Ohhh... is this the first time we call Walpurgis "Walpy" IC? :D

"Since it came up, what kind of girls do you think we'll get, Nadia?"

"The desperate," Nadia says, as blunt as your hammer.
A girl after our own heart. Can we keep her? :V

EDIT: Actually... I know there's talk about it already, but would it be weird to simply extend an invitation to Bennouna to affiliate herself with us? Without being pushy, just say that we would like to work together?

Madoka, by contrast, simply looks horrified, her mouth open in a perfect little 'o' of horror.
Madoka provides a nice bit of perspective here. When I read the bit about the guca dying to a witch I just shrugged and kept reading. I, and I assume most of us, am desensitized to just how terrible that life is. Poor sweet Doka hasn't yet reached the level of cynicism where the news of a persons death is less moving than talk of breakfast.

I'm curious as to what has Madoka horrified, here. The report of a girl getting killed by a Witch, the notion that the remainder of the group is desperate enough to move to another city (and knowing of only one of the girls here by reputation), or Sayaka's reaction to Homura saying that she's okay with them coming to Mitakihara because more MGs to fight WPN is good?

On the bright side, Sabrina's omniglot skills will seriously come in handy in the nearish future.

@Firnagzen In the above quote, "traveller" should be "traveler".

Well if Sabrina is hiring the girls to fight for her, she could provide them with a paycheck.

For that matter, is this the first time she's ever heard of a magical girl dying? In the series, no matter how much Mami tried to warn them, the dangers of the MG life weren't really real to Madoka and Sayaka until Mami was killed right in front of them. I don't think there's been anything similar in PMAS.

Sometimes they switch styles to confuse their prey friends.

I have to be honest, if Nadia doesn't stop 'Mm'ing all over the place I feel like I'm going to break my fingers trying to reach through the screen to strangle her. A girl only needs one verbal tic, dang it.
