OH. MY. MADOKAMI. I JUST REALISED THAT IF WE MANAGE TO GET MEMORIES ONTO GRIEF WE COULD GET A PICTURE OF THAT TIME THAT MAMI TRIED TO DO THE HOMURA HAIR-SWISH.

Overcomplicated. Just hologram it with grief.

D...did we just fuck up by mentioning Walmart?
Why!? Everything was going perfectly!

It was going to happen eventually. The delivery was bad, the end result isn't terrible at all.

Is...the caps lock really necessary @Marcus.D.Basterd ?
I was looking at some omakas and saw it when i was looking through the comments and hit a chapter. I got a bit excited. Sorry.

While that's true we could do that for anything. I think that in Rebelion Witch!Homura said something about her regrets comeing back to haunt her, so my thoughts were that we might be able to pull memories, or the ones made while producing Grief (Aka: literally always), out of the Grief made while those memories were being formed, and put it into a usable format. And that because of that we would have a picture of everything we saw and regreted not having a camera to take a picture with.

There is literally nothing that supports that Walpurgisnacht has "lolno" invulnerability powers or "drama" powers. She's just a Witch who has been absorbing other Witches for a very long time as shown by her card stating, "The witch's mysteries have been handed down through the course of history,". She's been absorbing Witches and getting stronger throughout many many years, which probably explains why she can outright throw buildings and is extremely durable at this point in time.
Walpurgisnacht took all of the dakka that Homura threw at her and emerged without any visible damage. That's either perfect invulnerability or else durability to the point where it would take several more magnitudes of dakka to take her out. To the point where the city might be destroyed as a side effect.

The "drama" powers are merely one possible explanation of the above (based on the fact that Walpurgisnacht is the "stage-constructing witch").

Edit: Just to be clear - I still think that hitting Walpurgisnacht with tons of dakka from within Timestop is still the best plan A, but I'm not going to assume that such an approach will be sufficient, so I want to make sure that we have backup plans (or improvements on Plan A such as first transporting Walpurgisnacht to a place where the collateral damage won't be an issue).

Wonderful. You realize this is the one quest where being insane in the thread affects the quest regardless of what's voted? Granted, we've already got the brain damage, but still.
I would argue that i am not saying anything that we didn't already know we could theoretically do, nor about when to do those things. And then i would stop talking anyway out of politeness, because just because i prioritise debate over normal human interaction doesn't mean that i can't do both-ish.

Also: I think that there are Quests other then this one where posting does that.
Edit:

"The Witch of Critical Existence Failure"?

Or an outright immunity to anything that isn't magical in nature.

Or a Godhand like effect of "anything that isn't at least this strong is automatically No Selled".

I just got an idea for a way of toning down my 'Sane Witches' Plan. If we can't do this ourselves, get Madoka to wish Sabrina's Power had von-neumannlike properties AKA giving her the ability to replace the powers of other Magical Girls with a copy of hers who can in turn do the same for others. We do it to Madoka, neutralizing the threat of her witch by making her self-sustaining. Then we go around offering it to anybody interested, getting rid of the bodily autonomy violations of my original idea.

... I can see nothing wrong with this plan.

Except for the .50AE round Homura just put in the back of Sabrina's skull.

Yeah dealing with Homura's concept of keeping to the promise being ensuring Madoka doesn't contract is a problem. We'd have to find a way to erode that. The letter of her promise was ensuring Madoka doesn't get tricked.

She asks Homura to "Save my stupid self before I get tricked by Kyubey". If she knows the apocalypsebomb/witchbomb and contracts in a way that neutralizes that, the letter of the promise is kept.

[X] Show confidence.
-[X] Yep. You're going to kill it. Mami and Homura, even Sayaka, are all roughly as bullshit as you. It was dead the moment it decided to come to Mitakihara.
-[X] But if you're already going to be collecting magical girls, why not kill two birds with one stone? This should bias toward more heroic girls, and, well...
-[X] Why attack with just the four of you? Why not have ten, why not have dozens of high-tier magical girls ready to kill it to death the instant it pops up? There's no such thing as overkill. There's only "open fire" and "I need to reload".
-[x] The city will be evacuated - thanks, Homura - but you still want to minimize property damage.

You know, this a suggestion I'm not sure of, because my first thought was basically this plan, just be confident, but, uhm.

We could consider literally facepalming and saying "wow, I did not mean to deliver that to you that way."

Just don't be worked up about it. Just facepalm, call our own derp, then proceed with something more concrete than this stuff that's being suggested. I dunno... Oh, I do know. "Walpurgis -- that's the witch -- is much more powerful than the witches we usually deal with, but the city will be evacuated, and, well, we hold back, normally, a lot. There was this one time, Mami and I cut loose just a little for just a bit -- we built a forty-foot armored mecha with shoulder cannons and everything, and we just walked through the barrier in the conn pod. I'm not asking because I'm afraid of Walpurgis, although more help is always good. I'm asking primarily because the kind of person willing to help with something like this is also the kind of person I want to be able to support, and to be on good terms with. And, admittedly, secondarily, because Walpurgis doesn't hide in a barrier and so minimizing property damage will be difficult."

... Yeah, I'm more happy with this idea than the other votes, though it's largely because explicitly the mecha is going to be much more effective at calming doka, I think.

[X] Remain casual.
[X] Facepalm. Wow, did you just deliver that to her that way? Sorry, Madoka.
-[X] City-destroying, potentially, life-threatening, no. The city will be evacuated on the civilian end, and, well...
--[X] We hold back. A lot. Explain the mecha that we made with Mami the one time, including -- emphasizing -- the ease with which it allowed us to crush that barrier. That was just Mami and us cutting loose just a bit for just a little while.
-[X] More girls would help limit the property damage, though, which could be considerable, and... You quite like Mitakihara intact.
-[X] But we're also interested because the kind of person who would help with something like this is the kind of person we want to be in contact with, the kind of person we want to support.

I would like to talk up Sayaka and Homura too, as a side note. I'd like to at least see Bennouna's reaction to the knowledge that everybody sitting at the table is on Mami's level.

Do we even want to call the property damage "considerable", or say that we want Mitakihara to be "intact"? Calibrating expectations is pretty important.

As far as MOAR DAKKA goes, we're basically already golden. We hit WPN with a bunch of magical attacks from in timestop and try to overwhelm it through sheer numbers as plan A, if it doesn't die then we go to plan B and rip grief off it from in timestop, if that doesn't hurt it then we go with plan C and move it out into the ocean or evacuate the city because we're launching a meter-diameter neutronium round at 10% c at it, and if it no-sells that then we increase the wattage and the number of shots until it dies or we start to fry the atmosphere.

If it no-sells all of that then we start doing science to it. Toss it in a barrier and collapse the barrier without allowing WPN out. Does that work? Can we entrap it and take a timestop vacation to Jupiter with our new friend and "accidentally" leave her behind?

At the very least Walpurghis will get tired and go home. Tbh we only need more Meguca to make Plan A easier to pull off and for reasons that aren't honestly related to Walmart Night.

Edit: Well, Veb voted for Kai, and I guess Kai said the same thing I did, so...

Except if the PSP game is any indication, Homura can kill Walpurgis via dakka. It just ends with Homura dying. The Homura Route also has an ending where both Homura and Kyoko fight Walpurgis and weirdly survive, despite them doing the same thing in the Kyoko Route. The latter ended with them failing, Kyoko getting absolutely one-shotted by Madoka's Witch, and Homura bailing.

I have thought about this, I'm not certain of it. The problem is that currently it's hard to talk up Sayaka, she isn't strong yet. It may be better to leave it as

That was just Mami and us cutting loose just a bit for just a little while.

"Oh that was Just the two of us, then there's the rest of the team too"

I'm not sure.

You're probably right it should just be one or the other... I don't know which, though. They're not necessarily separate things.

"Cellphone, no," she says. "I do not have a stable income, fimti? I cannot have a plan. Email, yes. Chats, yes. Remind me to show you before I leave."

Reminder that we should offer her money to do stuff for us. Still stand by the idea that we can give out cleansing / seeds for free and use money to get people to do stuff.

Also, the chats that have been previously referenced! Mucho interesting, potential comms with widespread long-lived gucas.

Sayaka's Bullshit is like Mami's Bullshit, but Sayaka doesn't have Mami's experience.

Homura already has decades worth of xp under her belt from temporal shenanigans, and We're the kind of bullshit that grows linearly. I wouldn't be surprised if Sayaka ends up being more powerful than us at some point, because any bullshit she pulls out is going to be exponential. In the mean time, though, she's going to be pretty weak because exponential isn't great to start with.

I don't think that the PSP game is canon for PMAS. I could be wrong on that, though.
