Because I really believe the enchantments to be just as frivolous as fixing the table- hell, less since it's important to Mami. She's not gonna blow into town and immediately start kidnapping people, and if she tries Madoka has telepathy to call Homura with anyway. And if it's any of the mundanes other than hitomi, well enchantments weren't going to cover them anyway, since explaining magic to everyone's parents isn't something we made time for.
 
I'd actually prioritize talking about table-chan above even things like ribbons magic. It's fluffy and derpy and reminds Mami that we're together. :3
 
I've edited my vote to take more into account that we've got an hour, with two showers and other preparation in that time.

We've done quite a bit of WAFFing lately, and Mami's emotional state is pretty good at the moment. At some point we have to put the fluff on hold and get some actual work done.
 
Worrying about making protection magic for our mundane loved ones is more than a waste of time, as it actually draws attention to them by way of there being magic all around them. Otherwise someone needs to actually know their connection to us.

Additionally it wouldn't do any good. If they try to take someone ransom, Clear Seed Homura will literally take care of the problem in no time. The people we know are literally the safest humans on the planet.

I agree. Thinking further, this might actually be a case of science-for-social. Madoka's perfectly safe. The trick is convincing Homura of that. Right now she's convinced she has to be actively searching for threats 24/7. Not on standby so she can timestop if someone calls for help, actively in a tree with a pair of binoculars. If we get enough defenses on Madoka that we can convince Homura to back down, that'll be a huge help for her psychologically.

Actually, Kyubey has motive to endanger people Madoka CARES ABOUT, but not Madoka herself. He can't risk losing that golden goose to human error.

Also Bennoua doesn't seem like the type of person who would sell "By the way there's a girl named Madoka Kaname around the griefbender she's a normal human Sabrina cares about lol just saaaayin."

That seems like a broach of her implied professional ethics, and it's not even technically a meguca matter.

Purely pragmatically, it wouldn't be a good idea for her to go around selling information like that unless she could be certain it wouldn't be traced back to her, which is hard enough when you don't work exclusively with superhumans. If word gets around, then she can expect a deeply unhappy young lady in a pretty dress tracks her down to leave a scathing customer review, or at least for people to be rather more reluctant to do business with someone who is demonstratably willing to sell your loved ones' identities to your enemies.

Also, Madoka isn't strictly speaking a normal human. She's a potential. Selling her out could provoke a Kagari-wish, for all Bennoua knows.

    --[X] Danger sense (possibly in an earring?)
    --[X] Reactive shield (possibly in a broach?)
    --[X] Lie/deception detector (possibly in the other earring?)
    -[X] If Mami has time, have her try to copy one/all of these enchantments, and make copies for her of any that she doesn't have time to make.

Timing is kinda awkward, but so's Enchantment practice in Godwinson's, so...yeah. We need these Enchants, especially the lie detection, for meeting up with the local Magi.

There's rather a misdescription here. We do not need Paranoia Enchants. They're useful, and reassuring, but we do not need them. That's true of a lot of things.

Bog-standard answer #305 (est. times repeated in thread: ~90): the reason for the loss of Kyouko's powers makes having Sayaka try to copy them potentially a Bad Idea.

Also recall that this isn't the enchanting time. This is just filling in cracks while Mami's in the shower. After Bennouna but before cleansing trip, we'll probably be spending a couple hours dedicated to enchantment. That's when we should be having this discussion.

Speaking of misdescriptions...Paranoia Enchants? I'll admit the anti-assassination measures are probably so, but the chances of us not being lied to some during this trip are incredibly low.

That said, you're right that we don't truly need them, but we don't truly need Sayaka along, or the help of these girls we're meeting. Doesn't mean it isn't worth the time.

That said? I'd happily switch to Lie-Detection only, but so far things seem pretty all or nothing.

Also happy to wait until later, but with how resistant the thread is to this kind if thing...
