I enjoy the SabrinaxMami stuff, but we do need to knuckle down and actually get shit done from time to time. Then we can WAFF in our free time.

I was hoping we could bring Mami breakfast in bed for a change.

We can have a grief clone make it so we don't have to get out of bed and can keep cuddling Mami the whole time.

We have been knuckled since, like, September lol.

. Then we can WAFF in our free time.
This is our free time. It has fluff and hugs and if you suggest disturbing the mumi-fluff I will shank you. The last fix months have been constant fighting. Stay in fluff land until sometime in May and we might start approaching a sustainable work-life balance.
I may be one of the more/most vocal advocates for Getting Things Done, but getting Homura and Madoka to share dinner together, maybe even have a sleepover, is at least as important as early Bomb-dropping, to my mind, so I'm willing to delay a little for that. Yeah, it doesn't add any capital to the Don't Make a Wish Foundation, but it should, at least for one night, make Homura unclench just a little, and that's a lot more important than I think we've been articulating in here, given the bags under her eyes and obvious signs of fatigue and strain she's showing.
Bomb-dropping has to wait until Homura's unwound and she and Madoka are on better terms, so this is absolutely contributing. Plus we'll visibly relax, which makes Madoka feel like she's Doing Something To Help, which works in the not-making-a-wish direction. Also, MadoHomu is one of the more potent anti-wishing devices available; Madoka already wouldn't wish if it'd hurt Homura, but hurting her girlfriend would be even less acceptable.

Yesss, I've just rationalized MadoHomu shipping. *pats self on back*
Have we made a frittata yet? I know we did pancakes once, and Japanese breakfast a few times.
Frittata would work. Have we done a full American breakfast for her, eggs bacon hash browns biscuits country gravy? That'd probably be a novelty.

Other good cuisines for breakfast... french? Croissant, fruit, hot chocolate.

I like the way you think, but I would try to wombo combo with Soulguca before doing anything so speculative to Mami's soul, even if risk-taking is the only option. I wouldn't want to bring her back as Candeloro, for example (and I'm not confident that's not what would happen if we rebuilt her with griefhax).

If worst comes to worst, we could always take a look at Mami's corpse (rather than her soul gem) and try to get her connectome.

Honestly, I would settle for Candeloro. That just means we stay in Time Stop until we master dewitching.

The time dilation between OOC and IC is getting to us.
It really really has. I mean, most of the thread arguments about "Need moar WAFF now" is because, IC, the last WAFF-y moment was a whopping two hours ago, just after that big picnic that we'd been planning, where Sabrina and Mami were being adorably domestic together. I don't want to drag things back into an argument, but it really does not bode well if Sabrina can't stay on task for more than two hours at a stretch without most of the players rebelling.

Oh, or a French-style omelet! A scramble of Portuguese Sausage and bell peppers? A quiche? Maybe Eggs Benedict or Eggs Florentine, though I don't think we'll have the ingredients just lying around for that.

(I don't know if you noticed, but I'm a big fan of eggs for breakfast :V)

Look, man, it depends on the task.

This shit was incredible. Arguments ran until the updates were posted and then kept going. No consensus, no friendliness, no science, no combat. Nothing interesting except the continual stream of "Nope, try again" phrased as infuriatingly painful updates.

It's one thing to fight a war, it's another thing to deal with that shit. The former we can do. The latter I hope to avoid repeating for a good long time.

I'm less concerned about that than if she can't go "off-task" for more than five minutes without feeling like she needs to find something useful to do. That way lies burnout and Calvinism.

Sabrina just tried talking a sort-of-friend out of suicide. It doesn't matter what she did before that because stress doesn't work that way. You can't frontload relaxation so that when something stressful happens you just go to neutral.

Today was always going to be a fluff day. It's been on the schedule as that since the picnic was decided on. We've actually gotten more done today than we intended with the whole talking out of suicide thing. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, and the day after we're going to Asunaro and playing it by ear. I do not think it's concerning if one day out of several is less than completely full of productive activities.

Fun fact: if you've been having a bad day or week already, you can go from "happy and fully functional" to "dead inside" in under ten minutes. People don't magically recover from long-term stress given a few hours of rest. There's not a single number that determines how stressed you are; even the best approximation is a feedback system with nontrivial state and dynamics.

Also? We got a ton of stuff done today IC. Sayaka+Hitomi informed of Oriko and defused. Oriko talked out of committing suicide and O&K shipped. Talked to Madoka and gave her some purpose-y ness. MadoHomu shipping. Got Sayaka melee training on course, though that was half because we'd set ourselves up for success and it paid off. Seriously, today has been unbelievably productive. Don't measure this by the number of hours IC we spent being "productive" vs. "not productive". Measure it by how many things we accomplished and how much we did between WAFF breaks. Today has been an extreme outlier.

Wouldn't bet against Mami having anything in her kitchen. Canadian bacon and English muffins, maybe not exactly, but she can probably throw together a decent eggs Benedict with good-enough substitutions.

We could make English muffins if we either wake up two hours before Mami or we prepare them for a later breakfast.

Ono. Nuff said.

Today we've dealt with Sayaka, Hitomi and Oriko thing, gotten through to Oriko(!!!!!!), moved Homura a tiny bit closer to accepting those too, made Mami a bit closer there two, and now are going to make Homura's life a bit better. If this is not productive and yet stressful day that deserves some rest, then nothing is.
Like, those two hours were non-stop stressful conversations with angry/suicidally depressed/lacking self-worth teenage girls. That's arguably worse than normal 8-hour work day.

This was, in very large part, because we had a pre-established plan for the day already set up since September, which by and large we followed through on.

I feel that now is the time to do broad-strokes planning for tommorow, IC - an outline we can refer to for the next few months OOC.

We'll want:
• Some fluffy morning stuff with Mami.
• Finally hammering down the details of what we tell Bennouna with Mami and Homu (and Sayaka).
• Discuss Kyoko and her training of Sayaka with Mami.
• Inviting Sayaka for an enchantment magic session for before the trip.
• The Bennouna meeting.
• Contacting Tokyo and setting a meeting date (not necessarily today).
• Enchantment magic session with Mami and Sayaka. Priority enchantments:
• Anything to let Sayaka store powers.
• Artificial Grief Seed research.
• Useful speckled enchantments for the cleansing trip (lie detector etc.)
• Contacting Kyoko and letting her know about what we hammered out for training, and setting up a meeting time for payment.
• Letting Kyoko know we'll be out of town for a bit and linking her to Homura as the "Mitakihara Contact" while we're out.
• Reconfirming trip details with the group's we visit, mentioning that we have a "power copier" as a new contractee we're showing the ropes, mentioning the possibility of extra payments for letting her practice her power.

• Cleansing trip proper.
• Dealing with the issues that will inevitably arise.
Maaaaaybe trying to de-coma Akiko by showing a Clear Seed and promising de-witching progress?
• Properly commissioning a false ID with hackerguca.

• Meeting with Kyoko, Mami and Sayaka's attendance not yet certain.
• Give her lodesamone.
• Mention that you're in contact with a out of town hackerguca that can modify government records: if she wants to make use of her services to help Yuma, you can put her in touch. (I think offering to pay for or otherwise do it ourselves is a bad idea, since she might think we want to take Yuma from her.)
• If Mami/Sayaka came along, we might do the dramatic denouncement/watch a spar, but I dunno if they will.
• Go back home, dinner, waff.
• Discuss our Asunaro plans with Mumi.

Very much a first draft, and open to various cancellations, additions, reschedulings, and other changes, based on discussion.
