It's more "sounds like you're in a bad situation, let's throw a second one at you so you have to choose where to help and where to get hurt."

We've got two bad choices. It's not the first time.

EDIT: Hours ago, the idea to telepathy Kyouko to ask her to be lenient with Sayaka was shot down in favor of not interfering with KyuoSaya time. Going there is worse in that aspect.

Also worse in that we would be there to fail at social. :V
We've made no progress and gotten through nothing to Oriko, and she doesn't seem to have the intention to do anything. I don't think we're gonna accomplish much beyond this right now. Kyoko and Sayaka historically have rocky first meetings. We should be there to make sure shit doesn't explode.

More stubborn? We've made no progress. At all. I know it's not ideal, but the Sayaka situation is a bit more than potentially concerning. It's two very volatile people meeting and could blow up for any number of reasons. Straight up ignoring it would be foolhardy.
That's going too far. We've made plenty of progress with Oriko. She's admitting stuff she's never admitted before.

...

Fuck it.

[x] Pinch your nose. Never one situation at a time, is it.
-[x] Homura, would you mind timestopping for a bit? Just the three of us.

[x] Ask Homura if it was just the two of them, or if anyone else was present, and if there were any signs of raised tempers.

[x] To Mami, directly. In addition to informing her about Walpurgisnacht, you asked Kyouko if she'd be willing to provide Sayaka with melee tutoring later. Since the answer seemed positive, you were planning to discuss it with Mami tonight or tommorow morning and get back to Kyoko with the verdict on Monday. You didn't intend to hurt her, or conceal this - it's just... stuff came up, and you didn't think it was urgent.
-[x] You're not... it's a discussion we'll still have in-depth, later. You're not going to push her to make a decision on the spot.

[x] With that said... Sayaka is Mami's student, and Mitakihara is her territory. You'd... prefer to settle the discussion with Oriko for tonight before checking on Sayaka if the situation doesn't look urgent, but how we react to Kyoko is still Mami's decision.

Let's just have Mami decide.

We got Oriko to admit to two things:
  • The futures where she dies are the best futures she can find. Not the best futures period, the best futures she can find.
  • She's willing to consider futures where she doesn't die, and a key feature of them is convincing Homura.
Those are both big. The first is a huge crack in her precog that we can use to lever it open. The second gives us a concrete path for working on this long-term on top of giving us another avenue to attack her precognition - does she really think that it's impossible for us to convince Homura? Not hard, but actually impossible?

We also got this:
"I am going to die," Oriko snaps, earning her a worried look from Kirika. "And I've told you. I've accepted that."
Fairly certain that Kirika is starting to figure out what we're doing here, which is another big win. She'll probably keep working on these things while we're off doing other things. Might be doing it right now if we're lucky.

This might be an excellent idea. Perhaps add a little bit in here details our hypotheses for how this could go and what Yuma's influence should be if she's there? I don't know if we want to make Mami diplomance Kyoko, but letting her decide what to do with her territory and dealing with it for her might be reasonable.

Seriously want to wrap up with Oriko, even if it's just giving her food for thought before leaving.

EDIT: This is the minimum I'd like if we were going to Sayaka right now. Changing.

[] Dismiss Privacy Construct.

[] Apologize to Oriko for cutting things short, but there's one more thing that you want to tell her, then you've got to run, kind of an emergency.
-[] This is not an accusation, but a point of view:
-[] Tell Oriko you don't trust her visions. Not only because they have failed, against you and Homura, and against 'Feathers', but you don't trust them because you can't trust Oriko to not be too damned depressed to have been able to use her powers to her full potential. She doesn't live and do things wholeheartedly. And you can't trust her as long she doesn't. You want to, you want to trust her, you want her to be happy and you believe she deserves it. But you can't.
--[] Listen to any rebuttal Oriko has, acknowledge it (don't answer), thank her for the tea and tell her you'll visit again soon.

[] Ask Homura where Sayaka is. If it's close enough, thank her and asy your goodbyes and go there with Mami. If it's far, ask Homu for timestop and for her to drop you two there.
-[] On the way, explain your plans to integrate Kyouko to your group to Mami.
-[] Once there, hide and see how things develop with Sayaka and Kyuoko.

Fairly certain that Kirika is starting to figure out what we're doing here, which is another big win. She'll probably keep working on these things while we're off doing other things. Might be doing it right now if we're lucky.
We've got Kirika to be a lot more pushy with Oriko. That scene where we got Kirika to remember Oriko can be wrong, and we told her about Symetry Diamond.

Can we modify the privacy construct so that Homura isn't affected by it? I don't think there's any need to meddle with Sayaka and Kyouko right now if they're just talking. It's important that we continue talking to Oriko, especially about our suspicion that her visions are biased by her own feelings. We can just have Homura continue to watch the meeting between Kyouko and Sayaka from a distance. If something goes wrong, she can timestop and grab us with the modified privacy construct.

Also, @Redshirt Army, I like your vote, but should we mention that we asked Kyouko about melee training only after Mami and Homura agreed that we should find a melee tutor for Sayaka?

I can rephrase that a bit, but I intentionally worded it in a more abstract way so Firn can fill in the blanks, so I don't want to get too specific.

[Q] Take everyone with you and quietly spy on the meeting using a Grief Perception Filter to keep your group unnoticed.

It's something to try, though. I think it's been mentioned a couple of times, but since we can't get rid of the Witchy feeling, we can only hide our Witchy stuff by messing with other megucas' magical perception. Of course, it might just not work because reasons.

--[] Point Kirika at Oriko. "Ur ojou iz borked. Fixu plez."

Somewhat more seriously: if we do head after Kyouko and Sayaka, we should have Kirika take over talking to Oriko. Maybe we should even tell her something like "Loving, helping, and protecting someone doesn't always mean obeying everything they say. Don't let her duck out of this: it might hurt a little, but sometimes you need a little iodine to clean out a wound."

[Q] Grief Make Super Speed Artifact.
-[Q] Use Super Speed to Super Quickly infodump Best Buddy everything you know about Oriko's situation.
--[Q] This way you don't have to ask Homu to timestop for Oriko's sake.

We really need another talk with Kirika if we can't get through to Oriko. There's new insights about Oriko than we told Kirika last time.

--[Q] It works anyway.

Note: Whenever we finally leave, we need to give Homu all the hugs. Girl's gonna spent all night sitting in a tree watching over that darned Oriko.

Clear seed, hit a restaurant and fill her shield with hot takeout, and order her to start getting real nights of sleep starting right now you'd better have gotten eight hours and two hot meals in the next ten seconds. We're not going home without doing that.

She's got leftovers from the picnic for now.

Also, you forgot straightening out her clothes, asking how her schoolwork is going and giving her a kiss on the forehead. :V

[x] If it'd help Mami decide, provide her with information about Kyouko's current situation, including things like Yuma and her Kyouko-wrangling skills, what Kyouko knows about Sayaka, and Kyouko's access to cleansing.

If we're going to have Mami take over, we probably want to make sure she doesn't go off half-cocked or uninformed.
