A... silly? idea.

I don't remember how it went, whether a Grief Seed forms from the Soul Gem, or it is inside the Soul Gem until it hatches.

But, while we could try emptying a Grief Seed down to its 'Soul', then filling it with Magic so it resembles a Soul Gem (I think that's a plan for deWitching)... what if we try and create a bigger Soul Gem around it until the Grief Seed is, comparatively, a 'small speck of Grief', and fill that with Magic?

It would be a humongous Soul Gem, but those are supposed to shapeshift, anyway, so...

That would require to experiment with the soul gem. I'm not sure it's a good idea.

How does putting "magic" into a Grief Seed turn it back into a Soul Gem? It kind of sound like you're trying to force a chick back into an egg.

You know, a small part of me is starting to think that at this rate, our quickest route to de-witching would be to break reality hard enough to obtain the Third Magic :V

That's basically what we want to do. Unless we can create Soul Gems whole cloth, or find some other way of de-Witching.

This idea's been around for a while, it's basically trying to make a Grief Seed as similar as possible to a Soul Gem, and hope that helps somehow.

Since we don't know how this stuff works, we're left trying things and going from what we can observe.

Aurora's looking promising, at least.

Soul Gems are a core of Grief surrounded by magic. Clear seeds are a core of Grief already, so we try adding magic. Magic is Hope (we think) so applying Hope to the being of pure despair might make it not a being of pure despair anymore. It's not exactly the most fleshed-out theory, but still the best lead we've got.

So you're saying that a Soul Gem is a cocoon, not an egg, and we're trying to reverse the process?

It'd help if we knew what the 'Soul' was.

We don't know how the Incubators gather it or move it, nor whether a part or all of it is destroyed/morphed during Witch-out.

Even if part of the Soul was lost during Witch-out, who knows, maybe Souls can be healed. Not with meguca healing, which seems to only apply to 'flesh', but still.

Our objective seems to be 'doing whatever it is the Incubators do to create a Soul Gem', but on a Grief Seed/Witch rather than on a human.

What we do know is that the "soul" is the "consciousness" of the mind and the "energy" that powers the body.

The Grief Seed comes from inside the Soul Gem.

When Sayaka Witched Out, her Soul Gem shattered, leaving the black core of Grief there. Then some leftover frame of Soul Gem kinda reformed back into the silver frame of Grief Seed, accumulating all Sayaka's tainted magic/grief to form the Grief Seed. Then the Witch was formed around the Seed.

From that video, I think it's the former. Because the grief, the magic, it's all hers.

So, we could practice creating this magical energy that normally fills a Soul Gem, let's call it Hope, then try and fill a fragile container with Hope without breaking it. Reinforcement should be good for practicing that last part, at least.

Supposing we can generate this Hope, and fill a Soul container with it, maybe we should add Hope to a Grief Seed little by little? Our 'Analysis' is at this point just good enough to recognize who a certain magic belongs to; what if we fill a Grief Seed with Hope, but since it's Sabrina-Hope, the Grief Seed rejects it... violently?

Maybe we can give little bits of Sabrina-Hope to a Grief Seed, and wait until it adapts it to itself.

Also, I'm thinking both Soul Gems and Grief Seeds are Soul containers. If we manage to fill a Grief Seed with Hope in the same way a Soul Gem usually is... we might not need to turn Grief Seeds back into Soul Gems. Maybe Grief Seeds are good enough once they're filled with Hope, and just need a human body to connect to.

Think it's possible for the Center Grief to taint the foreign magic? It's a focused grief after all.

...We'll need experiments to prove which hypotheses are correct...

Hopefully we'll remember these things when we get to spend time with Warehouse-kun...

Then we'll need 'untaintable-by-Grief-Hope'. Perhaps Hope with an enchantment to stop Grief from 'tainting' it. Grief should do whatever we want, and not what we don't want, anyway.

But how do we add herp to sool jims/grif sids?!?
Is large question.

I believe this accurately sums up our dewitching status.

"How?"

"...I've got nothing."

I don't think we're going back to Warehouse-kun. It's out of the way; we're trying to make whatever 'Science' we can while doing other things, economizing time.

"How?"

"...I've got nothing."
"Wait, when did Sayaka Witch-out???"

"You weren't watching her?"

"I was talking with Mami-"

*Weary sigh*

"It's my fault..."

"But... what?"

"I told you, Sabrina. Sayaka is fated-"

"She was fine ten minutes ago!"

"That's five minutes too long."

*Sigh* "... So..."

"... How's the de-Witching coming along?"

*Sigh*
