[x] Discuss plans on how to proceed over food. Enchantment is probably the sure fire way to go.
[x] Tell Mami about your magic control booster and your mixed success with one enchant as well as how it failed. Ask if she'd think it'd help her if she looked at a 'boosted' enchant.
[x] Mention your idea about making an 'anchoring' enchantment for the grief ring.
[x] Discuss everyone's ideas, not just your own. Ideally, Oriko will be able to tell the best way to proceed, but even if she can't, once a plan of action has been established, have everyone fulfill their assigned roles.
[x] In your free time, telepathy Masami about Ono.

Even if Oriko's problem is Wish rejection, her situation is different than Koko's.

Oriko's Wish is about herself. Koko's was about her father, who died.

Clearly we help her cheat via telepathy since we're basically google. Studying is for lame megucas who Sabrina hasn't BEFRIENDED yet.

We already offered to do this once, and she felt guilty about it afterwards. I mean, we could probably bullrush her into a rampant slide into delinquency until she's peddling clear seeds on street corners, but we should at least make sure we're doing it intentionally.

Would be nice if we had time to help Mami revise for a bit, if only to boost her self-esteem.

Unfortunately, cutting this off so that Mami can study sends a strong message of "my Ojou's grades are more important than your crippling pain", so my only real suggestion is to hope that we get the enchantment working extremely quickly, such that Mami still has time to study.

I'm not sure what the approach should be if we start getting into the late hours without much progress.

We'll turn Mami into a delinquent, yet.

Tell her it's a plan to turn her more alike Koko, and that'll help them reconciliate.

Mami needs a break from magic, and needs to study, and we can keep trying to help, by ourselves?

You lean against the wall, looking up and down the carpeted corridor. There are... there were pictures hung on the walls, now merely discolourations in the wallpaper from where they'd been removed. A pot of flowers sits on an ornate table at the end of the corridor - lilies, from a quick glance.

... And probably Kirika's doing, if you think about it.
Kirika likes the yuri. Who'd have guessed it. :V

The anti-pain effect gets results, and Mami should be able to get a workable enchantment in a reasonable time. However, there's the possibility that it might just mask whatever-it-is doing untold, ongoing damage to her soul. The visions slowing down may or may not be a really bad sign here.

The antimagic artifact seems likelier to halt the condition itself, but might not achieve the desired effect in terms of stopping the pain. It might also be unpleasant in itself to use for any length of time, given that magic's the only thing keeping her ticking, and will also cut off her visions entirely, which means she's left worryingly vulnerable. (So are we, for that matter).

I'm thinking we borrow or make suitable items to carry the enchantments, go after both effects in parallel, then see what's workable in terms of duration and side-effects? Kirika won't be able to add much to the painkiller development and Mami's got no experience with the antimagic one, so the loss in efficiency from doing so shouldn't be too bad.

I see that it consistently places as the second or third most watched show of the year. What's the first?
Since 2000, that'd be the Mello finals - when Kalle comes in third, it's usually because one of the semifinals edged up.
And it seems Kalle was the most watched show of 2014.
Surprisingly, Eurovision isn't quite as popular (I mean, it's still up there).

(EDIT: In 2000, the things that beat Kalle were Mello, Robinson and Eurovision.)
(In 2003, Mello, Womens World Cup Football, Eurovision.)

"Sigh. Mami, I get it, you miss me, but this is embarassing."

"What? What am I doing wrong?"

"Well, for starters, when you shake someone down, you ask THEM to give YOU money."

"...Oh..."
Hey, don't knock it.

Don't you think it would be cool if there were cute girls randomly assaulting people, aggresively filling their pockets and rudely wishing them well, before letting them go on their way if they didn't need help with anything?

Were those pickpockets?

*checks pockets* Apparently the opposite...

What would you call that then?

...Fillpockets?
