Science = Delayed till we can find time to talk with Homura and ask(gently and asking as well about how she feels about it) if we can use the time stop to Science without wasting time.

Can. Can I request that until the update, we just ignore any post arguing for "social" or "science"? We've been over it at length, and even have a nice compromise going. Just. Anything else. Please. :(

New topic: If Sayaka can copy powers from Grief Seeds, what would she get from each of the witches we've seen so far?
 
It's been a long time ever since we last encountered a witch. Have we fought Kirsten/HN Elly and Elsa Maria yet?

I can think of one that she might have kept all this time.

The one that Madoka used to save her at the end of the third timeline, right before she asked Homura to kill her so she wouldn't become a witch.

So if Sabrina familiars grow into godwinsons and they leave to start a new quest a different timeline, would Sayaka familiars grow into Ugos, and they do the same but new timeline Sayaka has more friends and a lower grade in chemistry?

I have a topic that may perhaps warrant discussion.

I don't follow this thread relegiously, too fast to keep up with discussion and I don't have the time or the inclination to word out as well as some of the regulars.

To those opposed to any Incubator interaction/ discussion: What scenario, if any, would you be open to talking about the big picture with Devil-K?

What would need to happen, or what position would we need to be in, to have any dialogue beyond the 'cleanse' trade that is the norm?

Us being beyond its power in any meaningful way.

The series is a demonstration that talking with Kyubey and telling it things will end in tears. Look at Homura and how that worked out for her. Look at its goals for Madoka. Look how it systematically destroys all the cast it talks to- everyone from Sayaka to Kyoko to Mami in PMAS to Madoka.

The conclusion of Sabrina's cycle then, when she grows more powerful then either Homuficer or Godoka. That'd be pretty cool to read actually. Very fitting.

What about in a more immediate sense though? I'd agree that Kuubye's conversations to the trio exacerbate the problems. However he's never, in canon to my knowledge, held a conversation with someone who understood him as completely as us. nor deceived someone who didin't trust him.

We should only talk to Kyuubey if there's no other possible source of information on something we absolutely need to know, and we have quite a few other sources of information. There should rarely if ever be a need to resort to the Incubator. Feeding it absolutely blatant lies and asking for utterly irrelevant things would also be fine (ie: Kyuubey:"What were you doing?" Sabrina: "Making ice cream." or Sabrina: "How many purple-haired, nine-fingered magical girls are in Myanmar?")

I've stated at length that I don't feel that's achievable via science (If we become a god, it'll probably be via Madowish or somesuch and things will have gone very, very very wrong) but well this argument's gone in circles and gotten nowhere.

Considering Kyubey remembers everything and has had a LOT of practice- and he managed to screw over both Kyoko and Homura despite them not trusting him very much- I don't think we're going to win social-fu with the ancient hive mind purpose built for getting magical girls killed. The less we let slip where he can hear it, the safer we'll be, and god forbid we ever answer any of his questions.

Except that just the act of lying or babbling tells it something. Less than honesty, but still revealing.

Random semi-on-topic interjection:

People have been worrying that Sayaka would see Witch Runes with our power.
However, those runes are also engraved in Soul Gem Rings, and they can't decipher them so it's fine.
 
The fact that Witch Runes are enscribed on those Soul Gems is exactly why "It's just a magickal language" works perfectly.

We should have meaningful conversation with Kyuubey if we have a way of preventing it from learning anything from the conversation (split it from the hive mind and erase it's memory afterwards or something) and even then we'd need to be careful. Alternatively, if all our other info sources have failed and we're really that desperate for some reason.
 
Well, I don't think we'll be fucking with it's head at all, but if we're gonna talk to Kyubey, we'd need a very good reason to. We'd need some specific information other than some curiousity about how their society works or some other background information that we have no use for.
