Or do you want to call in Homura, tell her to timestop for us until we learn how to sew (I don't think Sabrina knows this, but I guess she might), then get all the materials and actually build the thing?
If Sabrina knows what we know, then she by extension she knows how to sew at least a bit - didn't you get handcrafting classes where you sewed in school?

Nope.

Tell me, then. Is making a doll like that (except for the 'talking' part, maybe?), that easy and quick to do that it wouldn't piss off Homura something fierce?

I'm inclined to think that now isn't the time for sewing. But this does raise an interesting question:
@Firnagzen: does Sabrina possess the mundane skills the posters possess (or rather: the skills which are explicitly mentioned in the thread)?

@Onmur:
Allow me to reply with a picture:

There is also the question of how accurate you want it, but hand-crafted? Save an hour, easily.

With grief tools? Much faster, perhaps less than 15 minutess with custom machines? You need to get the materials too, though. I am not sure how long a voice box would take, however.

And given how this is not something we need to use timestop for and how this is supposed to be emergency, any time at all would likely irritate her.

Hmm, how about... No more than 30 minutes to create a barrier containing a fully operational plushie factory, then a few more minutes to stock it with non-grief raw materials.

We can't substitute Sabrina for a doll, no matter the realism. I find it hard to believe I have to say this, but here we are.

E: Doll aside, 'thinking of you'-type gestures are nice, but they should be done when things are calm and less emotionally critical, so that when they come up later they serve as reminders rather than looking like damage control

You're right- the doll would traumatize Mami less. :p

Well, yeah, it should go without saying that it's all fun and fluffy feelings in the omake, but as a serious action it would be condescending as hell.

Might as well pat Mami in the head and tell her to stay put while the adults talk things out.

Edit:

A thought: IIRC, Oriko can't see the moment of a witchout, right?

Can she also see if a seed gets hatched? Because I'm suspecting incubator shenanigans (again)

Edit2:
@SynchronizedWritersBlock
Since Sabrina can multitask it, can we also include Hitomi and Madoka on our roll call? And if we can spare a couple of minutes, maybe give Nagisa a call or text her uncle just to check?

Oriko was unable to see the cause of Sayaka's death in the future that she averted, all that she could see was Sayaka's dead body, unmarked. This might mean that she cannot see the moment of a witchout, but right now that's just a guess and we haven't asked Oriko to clarify. We should ask her about these two things (as well as all of our other "Feathers" related questions) the next time we have the opportunity to do so.

Wouldn't we just be wasting our time asking her "feathers" questions, since whenever they are involved her precog power goes into "Can't See Shit, Cap'n!" mode?

Clarifying which things cause "Feathers" and which do not would be invaluable towards figuring out what it is and how to prevent the threats.

Seeing the aftermath and the preconditions for a "Feathers" event would allow us to deduce a lot about what happens, even though the event itself cannot be seen directly.

See this post for a list of questions that we might ask.

Random silliness.

Sabrina: "As shown by this experiment, the presence of feathers impedes Oriko's vision, not only her magical precognitive vision, but also her mundane vision."

Oriko: "You can not be serious."

Sabrina: "My verdict: Oriko possesses a weakness to feathers that causes her to become blind."

Oriko: *Sigh* "Can I move now?"

Sabrina: "Kirika, don't let her go."

Kirika: *Tightens her hug around Oriko, pinning her arms to her sides* "Sorry, Oriko, you'll disrupt the experiment."

Oriko: "Somehow, I don't think that's your concern, dear. And, as far as I can tell, this farce of an 'experiment' is done, right?"

Sabrina: "Oriko! How can you insult SCIENCE like that!"

Oriko: "Science."

Sabrina: "Yes."

Oriko: "You call this science."

Sabrina: "Yes! See? We used a scientific experiment to determine that the presence of feathers blocks both your magical sight and your mundane sight. That's useful information to have, isn't it?"

Oriko: "You taped a black feather over my eyes."

Sabrina: "And you can't see!"

Oriko: "Because you're covering my eyes."

Sabrina: "So we're in agreement."

Oriko: "No, we're... I..." *Groan* "Yes. We agree. Feathers cause me to go blind. Could you release me, now?"

Sabrina: "... No. Now I'm gonna step out while comrade Kirika performs the next experiment." *Opens door*

Oriko: *Shudders* "Which is?"

Sabrina: "The most fundamental weakness a person could have towards a feather: Oriko, are you ticklish?"

Oriko: "No... You won't."

Sabrina: *Laughs* "I won't." *Steps outside* "But she will." *Door closes*

Kirika: *Evil laughter mad giggling* "Test 1..."

Oriko saw that Ono would witch. She saw that several magical girls of the Sendai conflict would witch. She saw that Masami and Hiroko would witch without our intervention. She's also terrified of what she saw if either she or Kirika witch. It's not 100% confirmation, but I'm pretty sure she can see witchouts. It's a safe assumption to act upon.

I assumed she was terrified of what she saw if she or Kirika witched because that's a horrible fate for yourself or someone you love.

True. But there's enough ambiguity that it's worth asking about when we get the chance. Maybe every possible occurrence of Sayaka witching out is blocked, for instance, but she can see other witchouts. Or maybe she doesn't see the witchouts themselves but merely the aftermath (which is still pretty horrible and enough to deduce what happened in most cases).

[X] Ask Oriko if you still need to drop by.
[X] Ask if she personally is also in danger
-[X] I asked about multiple witches. Which one? The witch I asked about yesterday, or the day before?
-[X] Can she tell us where Sayaka is before the situation arises so we can intercept her?
-[X] Ask Homura where she last saw Sayaka and what Sayaka was doing.
--[X] If it's not the glass witch:

---[X] Tell Mami it's a witch, and Sayaka's in danger.
---[X] If not immediately in timestop afterwards, quickly telepathy Sayaka. Ask her what's going on.
----[X] If Sayaka is fine (for now) and we're still not in timestop, ping Ono and ask if she wants to join us on a hunt
-----[X] Tell her that we want to train her
---[X] Ask Homura if she can get to you now. Time is of the essence, after all.
--[X] If it is the Glass Witch:
----[x]Ping Ono. Let her know that there might be a problem and need to check up on her.
----[x]If she is in the process of imploding, let Homura know we need to get to her ASAP.
-----[x] Tell Mami that we need to go with Homura now.
----[x]If she's okay, for now, tell her that we need to see her for training immediately
-----[X] Tell Mami that Oriko has seen that Ono is in trouble and about to run out of magic
----[X] If she doesn't respond, tell Mami that it's a witch, and Sayaka's in danger, but that something about this witch is dangerous to Mami in particular
[X] Quickly telepathy Sayaka. Ask her what's going on. Try the phone if telepathy fails.
[X] Let Kirika know to guard her Oujo and warn us if something is going down
[X] Get Mami (if she is coming) and Homura in timestop
-[X] Make sure the burners for the tea are off and let Mami finish her tea (if she is coming)
[X] Head off in timestop. Go to Oriko if she needed to meet. Otherwise, go find Ono if she is involved, or go find Sayaka priority #1, the Witch priority #2.

That was a joke. Please do not actually attempt to eat the moon.

We can't do this currently.

Abusing her timestop over... this, in the middle of a situation is just about the opposite of mending bridges with Homura.

Removed the doll line. Pit, because I find it cute, but yes, it'll probably annoy Homura

By Odin's Beard!

I really don't think the vote needs to be that long or have that many conditionals. I mean, there's such a thing as ambiguity.

And yet, I'm still avoiding certain conditionals. These are only the ones I consider most likely and important.

I'm South African. Paranoia is a way of life here. For example, we had load shedding while I was walking home from the station today, so there were a few instances where I had to quickly asses what action I should take to increase the likelihood of my own safety. (I think it was the same crazy prostitute who was yelling at me as the one who chased me recently)

Also, I have a phobia about being out of control and am not used to having the amount of control that Sabrina has, so I tend to ... exercise it.

I believe that the worst-case scenario happens when you aren't prepared for it, so why shouldn't you?

I like the questions and the thoroughness of the vote. What I don't like is the delay that is induced before entering timestop. Once we're in timestop, we can ask Oriko and Homura all the questions we like without risking any problems due to the passage of time or Kyuubey's wiretapping.

Asking if it's the Glass witch needs to be done now. If it is the Glass witch, then pinging Ono needs to be done now. Pinging Sayaka could be done either now or after we meet with Oriko. Everything else can be done within timestop.

Concerning the future of Sayaka averted..a body unmarked, huh? That doesn't necessarily mean witch-out.

What about poison? As I recall, H.N. Elly planned to dispatch a warehouse full of people by forcing them to mix together vinegar and bleach to form toxic Chlorine Gas.
