[x] Mami, don't push yourself too hard, please? Take your time.
-[x] Ask her if she's recently checked her soul gem. (Prompt for her to use a grief seed. You can always refresh her seeds later.)
[x] Drop the witchy stuff.
[x] Telepathy.
-[x] Ask Mami if she wants to talk about it.
-[x] I was already on the way to school. Do you want me to drop by now? Or maybe ask Madoka and Homura to come visit you?
[x] New voting prompt if it seems Mami's condition is deteriorating.

With thanks to Mura, Kai, and Onmur for contributing to the frankenvote.

Bit of checking + what Redshirt said. Also removed ()s

Because it works, we need to say something about Mami's self blame and give reassurance, and the alternative is implicitly approving of what she's saying by saying nothing. Any vote that says nothing is one that's automatically worse than any vote that tries to deal with it. Saying she has nothing to be sorry about is vital.

What needs to be said:
1. The line. We can't let Mami's self-blame stand and we need to reassure her that we're there for her/that she doesn't need to force herself to do it in one go.
2.Asking.
3. Getting there. We have no reason to hang back and try telepathy without even attempting to get there when something like the window has minimal risk of interception.
It sounds to me she's convinced she's in the wrong; she's feeling guilty for clinging to us so much and can't stop feeling sorry. Simply denying something she feels so strongly would be counterproductive; it's just words she can't agree with, she might just think she can't trust Sabrina to tell her when she's doing something wrong.

We need to accept her points of view as valid, even if we disagree. Mami's been wronged, and has been left an emotional mess, but this is not a matter of how she got there, but how are we gonna move forward. Kyubey's obviously not gonna step up to help for the mess it caused, so if Mami feels she needs to be responsible for her own state of mind, and that helps her get better, we need to let that be. Otherwise we can't work with her.

tl;dr
I find 'implicit aproval' better than that statement. 'Implicit aproval' is wrong but lets us work with Mami through her problems, while that statement just kind of pushes us away from her.

Maybe we could, I don't know, not deny her apologies so strongly?

Instead of "You've nothing to apologize for", we could say "Not your fault", and maybe "You're welcome", since she also thanked us just now.

...and that about clinches it for me. Changing to Redshirts version.

[] Mami, don't push yourself too hard, please? Take your time.
-[] Ask her if she's recently checked her soul gem. (Prompt for her to use a grief seed. You can always refresh her seeds later.)
[] Drop the witchy stuff.

The first line of the Redshirt version, while better than nothing, doesn't handle the problem at all and is the emotional equivalent of a "Get well soon card". Never mind that she's apologizing and blaming herself. o_O

I'm pretty sure that noticing a change of "stuff detected" status would be an automatic action when we drop the "booster", as it is something that Sabrina was just checking a moment ago. (sort of how you have a high chancenof telling if a thing disappearing in your range of vision if you were looking at it recently, even after you stopped paying active attention to it)

I see no need to split the votes trying to worry about that.

Spinny armchairs?

...That just feels wrong.

If we invite everybody into our Barrier and greet them while drinking microwaved tea, sitting on a spinny armchair, would it become impossible to convince them that we're not a Witch?
I am sitting on a spinny armchair, sipping tea.
It's quite fun, really ~spin
And I'm planning on getting a thermometer so I can use microwave to heat the water to exacting degree I desire, instead of using a kettle.
I wonder what's the signibifurcation of minute changes in positioning?
...It's all fine. It doesn't feel wrong. This space I'm in is as I desire it to be. With will and work and effort, I made it so.
A space in world/things left behind/and lost connections/"Hello, friend."
There is no despair or sad or painful things here, so I don't need a cleanse. It is not like I have a soul gem to cleanse anyway.
HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE ~ Yay I'm spinning!
Why would anybody think I'd be a witch?

The hell is 'signifurbance'? :p

Man, it would be such a thing if when go fight WP, we find it carrying a tea kettle.

Well, it's better if we want to let Mami's feelings of guilt and inadequacy stand without even trying to do anything about them. I don't think we should.

I think we need to show we understand and accept her as she is, guilt and inadequacy and all. Rather than trying to fix her straight away. That's a slow process that needs to work on causes rather than symptoms

This and the Redshirt Army are basically the same vote except that this one explicitly has us noticing whether or not Mami and Homura disappear from our range after we drop the sensor. It's not relevant to the current issue, but knowing that the range extension actually works will be useful in the future and it's a free action. If we go with the other vote and the range checking isn't explicitly part of the update, I'll probably still ask Firnagzen if Sabrina noticed whether Mami and Homura disappeared.

...Is this really the time for science shit? If it is, like you say, practically a free action, then why can't we do it later instead? Is it so important that we need to see the results now?

And I dunno about you, but if the sensor thing is out, then we're pinging the witch-dar of the local meguca, and Mami will be, peripherally at least, aware that we were doing science at the same time we were trying to comfort her.
