[] Actually, teenage girls in particular are targeted by Kyubey. Just by virtue of who you are, you're in danger of being manipulated by that rat. Don't believe him. If he ever approaches you, know this: even when he's telling the truth, it's not the whole truth; he's trying to trick you. He does not have your best interests in mind.
[] "Special" isn't really the proper word here. That would imply that it was good. Negative emotions and magic use both cause this black stuff, grief, to build up in our soul gem. Sadness is literally deadly for a magical girl. Honestly, of all the resources a magical girl could have, good friends is probably the most valuable.
[] But I'm rambling. We- that's Mami, Homura, and myself, since we managed to get to Sayaka and Madoka before they got tricked- have been talking about using our powers to heal you and Kyosuke. This would normally be quite the expense, but my power is uniquely useful because it allows me to cleanse our soul gems for free, rather than having to defeat witches to get the grief seeds to cleanse like most people do.
Hitomi's response, "Slow down...I have no idea what you just said. Umm...Madoka? Maybe you could....?"

Well, Madoka went ahead before us anyway. Yay?'
"And you're..." she shakes her head. "Why me? Why Madoka, and Sayaka? Why bring us into this? W-we're not... special."
Hmmm.

[X] Madoka and Sayaka actually pre-date me.
[X] The terribleness is mainly fighting witches - human-eating monsters. Most magical girls don't live long.
[X] And you...Well, it has been getting annoying to toe around conversation topics.
[X] More importantly, your arm is hurt. May we heal it?

First instinct, really.

Kind of skipped a couple of explanations there. Withces, grief seeds...

Yay.

Nice Madoka, starting from the beginning.

[jk] Well Hitomi, when magical girls get hungry, sometimes they have to suck the soul out of a green haired person. It's why you don't see many vertettes these days. Now just hold still...

"What, Magical girls can't be friends with normal people now?"
I feel like I should point out that while we know that, I don't recall if we're supposed to know that (from the perspective of Madoka, Mami, and Sayaka); we know how they met in canon, but did they ever bring up that incident with us? I forget.
Well, Madoka and Sayaka will just assume Mami told us, and Mami will think that Madoka or Sayaka told us. Not that farfetched.

[q] "Yes you are. You're Hitomi Shizuki, the woman who leads Earth to victory in Inter-World War 1. We're here to keep the robots from removing you from history."

[] No, need to be special.
-[] Tell her about the system in general: how do you become a meguca, what do you have to do, grief, witches etc.
-[] Describe the circumstances of our wish and how we met everyone.
-[] You don't want to keep dancing around discussing magic in regards to Hitomi, it isn't fair to her
--[jk] She seems to be the most stable person you met so far, you could really use a group therapist
-[] You thought about healing her and Kyouske with magic

We haven't witched out (for superpowers).

Therefore, I can be 100% certain that we're not a witch.

On the vote I still am prattling internally, but I'm thinking along the lines of

-Everybody is special in their own way, regardless of magic's existence.
-Madoka and Sayaka found me/us when we were/I was in a rather sticky situation, the day I became a Magical Girl.

And then Guilop's post showed up which basically says everything I was going to write.

Honesty is a pretty good policy here. Now that I think about it, she doesn't really need the full run down on meguca life right now. It's not really relevant to her interests and Sayaka and Madoka can just tell her later if she asks.

[ ] What, Magical girls can't be friends with normal people now?
[ ] We felt bad keeping secrets from you, and not being able to talk about some stuff was getting in the way of our friendship.
-[ ] Telepathy Hitomi testing, testing, 1, 2, 3, 4. So you can telepathy us now, it's pretty neat.
--[ ] If telepathy doesn't work: Huh, guess that's one less thing to worry about. Looks like you're safe from contracting.
[ ] Anyway, Hitomi we're still you're friends and we still care about you. Plus now you know how I get onto the rooftop at lunchtime. Magic.
[ ] Now let's fix that arm of yours and go see Kyouske. We were going to talk about fixing his hands today as well. Mami, Homura do you want to help?
[ ] Quick rundown on facts of magical girl life on the walk to the hospital.

Hey, while we have Hitomi here with us, we should ask her what the word for green-haired persone actually is.

"And you're..." she shakes her head. "Why me? Why Madoka, and Sayaka? Why bring us into this? W-we're not... special."

This is something we need to correct. Having the potential to contract doesn't mean you're special. From what I've seen potential seems to be more about the amount of despair you've felt.

Which makes sense given the running theme of balance between hope and despair in PMMM.

So my guess is that a girl's Potential is simply a measure of how much hope they have build up inside their soul which the Incubators drain off during the Contracting process to power the Wish, and claim a little for themselves of course.

You reckon? I would think there would be a lot more contracts if that were the case. Only 5-15 hopeful girls in a whole city seems a bit low. I assume it's some kind of esoteric thinggy which no-one really understands.

IIRC it's something about "karmic weight" or somesuch.

I think that's a bit too much considering we haven't really hanged out with Hitomi all that much. Scratch the part about the rooftop and lunchtime.

"We're telling you because we don't want to keep important secrets between friends. It's kind of really annoying, actually."

That last line from Hitomi is going to do wonders for Madoka and Sayaka's self-image.

[x]You are. All of you are.
-[x]But the reason is that Kyubey...goes after people who can make contracts, like Madoka and Sayaka. He tries to trick people into contracting.
[x]I'm telling you too because you deserve to know...and because Kyosuke's your friend too. Magic comes with too high a price, but some good should come of it and I think we can heal him.
[x]Ask if she's alright. It's a lot to take in. Ask to start healing her arm while we keep talking.

It occurs to me that Hitomi's question is a curious one; she's asking why we're bringing them into this.

[X] Well, at the core of things it's because we're their friends -- your friends, too, if you'll let us.
-[X] I can't speak for Mami and Homura, but Madoka and Sayaka found me dying -- not as a magical girl, but just a girl. I was in a pretty bad way, I won't gross you out with the details, but despite that they stayed with me and tried to help me. Hell, when Kyubey tried to get Madoka to contract to save my life, for a moment there I was worried she'd actually do it. Since then, after I contracted, they've been the best friends a girl could ask for, and it's meant a lot to me.
--[X] Of course, that's why it's important you know the whole of this rotten system -- Kyubey likes to get his contracts however he can, and the best way to keep from falling prey is knowing what he's really up to with 'em. Remember how I said he tried to get Madoka to contract? Well, he did that even though me making a contract with him would have saved my life anyways -- and as a matter of fact, it did.
---[X] So, we want you guys to at least be aware of what's up with it all, because we care about you guys; you're our friends, and that's absolutely nothing to do with all the magic in the world.

We can talk healing after we answer this. Maybe this is a bit sappy, but I feel like this covers Hitomi's question pretty well.

Sabrina's got more self-restraint than I do.

Is Sabrina Hitomi's friend?
We'd like to be her friend, I guess, but are we at present?
Barely met her a couple of times, maybe three. I'm gonna check, actually. But yes, some of the votes kind of wander in odd directions.

EDIT: 8-10 times, though she doesn't hang around long, due to Ojouness.
