I'm fairly certain Firn hasn't made this a no-win situation. Either Oriko has limits that we can blow past, or she can be talked down from her current mindset.
We've been told to act instead of reacting. And yes, hunting with Homura helps, but we need an actual plan. How do we test the limits of her precog, and how do we convince her she's wrong?
We need more information, before we can even make those plans. We need to know what she cares about - does she stomp familiars in her school, or let them kill people to get Grief Seeds?
What's her goal? Does she actually want us dead, or just injured and mad? We'll find this out simply by clashing with her repeatedly.

Seriously, I worked part-time jobs that earn me twice as much per month.

Erm, I don't have it better than him right now.
I am still serving now.
Hell, I am still in a military camp when I am posting this message, and will stay there for the next four days until my bookout on Saturday and Sunday. And this repeats every week. Not to mention all the mandatory guard duties me and my platoon mates have to do which can eat into our weekends.
Firn at least completed his stint and only has to worry about reservice, which last about two to three weeks every year for the next ten plus years.

My friends across the bridge say it's not that bad unless you're particularly unfit(but not actually unfit enough to get a medical exemption)...at least once they're done with it. Think of it as mandatory teamwork and fitness camp.

That's exactly what you've been doing. Your sensing range is larger than a hundred; more like about four hundred meters' radius or so, though you're not sure precisely how large that is.
You've been canvassing strips of land between points as you travel. If you'd been checking room by room, closet by room, it would have taken a literal thousand times longer.
The area you've checked is still a pittance compared to the size of the city.
