Can we do SCIENCE on Kyousuke while we're at it?
Mad SCIENCE, or Mad Social SCIENCE?
Two statement.
Frankly, I would like to visit Kyouko soon. We know that she is going to run low on grief seeds in the near future, and we've done more than enough science for the day. If we have a viable plan for meeting up with Kyouko I'd like to meet up with her soon, before she starts getting desperate.Do we want to try to get some of that out of the way this afternoon, or are people more interested in going other directions now? Personally, I'd like to finish up the SCIENCE stuff.
@Kinematics: Lovely ideas, though I'd try to think if there is anything else so long that we have timestop.
Well, anything else other than
[ ] Inform Homura of the loops' side effect.
Which seems likely to just cause anguish before her ...history class?
That's what I am asking.
Homura nods, looking thoughtful. A moment later, she speaks again. "He may develop a crush on you."
You stare at her.
She stares back.
The dead, muffled silence of the timestop stretches out.
"He gave up after a while," she offers.
You continue staring.
She nods.
Your head tilts over to the side.
Homura's face is utterly neutral, not a hint of her thoughts showing on her face.
Yeah, no, let's not have onesided Gray/White, thank you very, very much.
...We have got to get the details of that loop out of her later though.
The first time she was witchbombed she didnt imediately go kill em all, that was only after their attempt to reverse sayaka failed. SO she may be ok (or not, but surviving) as long as she has a hope to cling to.
Good point. I'm really just fishing for information like 'she tends to keep it together a bit better if you emphasise the people she's saved' or 'whatever you do, don't bring up how many she recruited/how many seeds she's used.' If we know what the biggest land mines are then we can avoid or try to deal with beforehand in order to keep Mami alive long enough for the initial horror to subside a bit and our reassurances and counter arguments to have an effect. The first time she was witchbombed she didnt imediately go kill em all, that was only after their attempt to reverse sayaka failed. If we take the PSP game she can survive it if she has friends etc. If she hasnt enough but dosent imeediately flip out, it however puts her at danger of quiet suicide a few days later.
[x] Let Homura know you're thinking of trying to set up some informal gathering of all the friends this afternoon to help relax.
[x] Give Homura another hug before parting.
[x] A last couple bits of SCIENCE testing this afternoon, while contacting people.
-[x] SCIENCE
--[x]Examine a soul gem, a normal grief seed, and a broken grief seed in detail with all senses. Catalog the parts; grief, magic, whatever else you can figure out, any unknowns. What are the differences and similarities?
--[x]Compare a magical construct like your hammer to an identical grief construct. What are the differences in attributes, and in how each can be created, manipulated, or dismissed?
-[x] Contacts
--[x] Masami/Hiroko - Polite check in. Inform them that things seem to have settled down, and of the suggested handling of grief seeds.
--[x] Ishinomaki - Polite check in. Summarize situation, and make note of the grief seed cleansing plan.
--[x] Rin/Sakura - Polite/concerned check in. Ask Sakura when the Ishinomaki meeting was originally arranged.
--[x] Kyouko - General check in. Inform her that things have settled down, and that you'd like to talk with her in person. Offer to buy lunch if needed. Head to Kasamino if agreed.
The Kyouko bit will need to be its own update, I think, so just ending this with the arrangement to meet up.
Given our parallel tasking abilities, we should be able to do the grief/magic examination in parallel with contacting people, and each of the contacts should be relatively short conversations.
If she knew that much about Mami's psyche, she wouldn't be in this kind of situation. All other times when Mami learnt about the witchbomb, she has basically written her off, to the point where Yuma defusing it, however temporarily, was a major surprise to her.Good point. I, personally, agree with this statement. I really don't want to deal with them today if I can help it, unless they ping us of their own accord for whatever reason.*sigh*
As I said before. I'd like to pretend Sendai doesn't exist if only for just one day. Place is a ****ing headache.
Would you mind clarifying this bit? I don't recall any such plans being discussed, unless you are talking about the Kyouko tea party plan, in which case now is nowhere close to the time.[x] Let Homura know you're thinking of trying to set up some informal gathering of all the friends this afternoon to help relax.
Look, it's a oneliner, there to make things easier down the road. We just chat with them and then forget about them, and better to have it than not to have it.
We had a "tea party for all of Mami's friends" idea at the end of the last arc. No Kyouko involved.
It's not even about Rin, so much as two lines for everyone else there. It's completely and utterly harmless, and useful.
