I PMed Firn for info on how long it would take for Sabrina to heal this off. The answer is "a few hours." He also said that getting multiple people to help with healing would speed up the time considerably. If Sabrina, Mami, and Homura all heal together, it should be done in comparatively little time; enough that staying in timestop might even still be a practical option.

Well, I guess that happened.

I guess that means Oriko thinks we are part of the problem in having peace and or that.

There's no real reason to leave time stop, even if this does take a few hours. Sabrina has as much patience as we decide, Homura probably has no qualms wasting hours in infinite time stop, and Mami will probably be hilariously incensed over this and even more for taking Oriko down.

Although... We should probably get Mami to tell a few stories while we heal to pass the time or something. Maybe Sabrina can do some really bad jokes too; SV is good at those.

In any case, we need to keep timestop up, as otherwise we will lose oriko. This bomb was presumably here to incapacitate us for long enough that oriko could either get away and hide or do something else hopefully uncontested.
Whatever happens, we do not drop timestop.

"I guess she was really pulling my LEG with that note, eh? Really happy for helping me out here, Mami, you're the BOMB! It's been a BLAST being your roommate!"

"Sabrina, please be quiet while I heal you."

"Humor is my anesthetic, Mami. Humor and magic powers."

So, let's lay down some future time stop ground rules here:

1. Don't touch things.
2. If we have to touch things, cover the area in grief, so that we can feel out the shape of what we're about to touch and sense if it's unusual in any way or has wires connected to it.
3. See if we can levitate everyone on platforms of grief and have a grief sphere around the group when we're moving. That way tripwires and the like can't get us, because we'll sense them as obstructions to the grief.

That covers everything, right? Anything I missed?
Why not have Mami wave some ribbons out front as minesweepers? We don't want her to feel useless.
Actually, no. It could only go off because it was touching the wire, which was touching the note, which was touching us. If we had destroyed it with grief or burned we'd be fine.
Or if we'd read it without picking it up, as I'd thought was the leading vote. Or if we'd picked it up at range with either grief or Mami's ribbons. Destroying it remains as pointless as Oriko's actions appear to be.

Because Mami's ribbons are both worse at the task in question when compared to a grief cloud, and because we know for certain that Mami's ribbons extend the time stop effect, but grief control might not due to the extra degree of seperation.

Are they, though? Do we have the fine detection necessary to be able to tell if our grief is flowing around a tripwire? We could make it solid, but moving in that would be cumbersome compared to being preceded by flailing ribbons.

Yes and now we need to figure out where to go from here.

Do we
1) Stay in timestop and heal with Mami and Homura's assistance, continue with the hunt
2) Stay in timestop and go get Yuma and Bestgirl, continue with the hunt (Would either have to leave Mami or have her see Kyouko again)
3) Drop out of timestop to heal, letting Buckethead do whatever she was going to do, re-enter timestop after healed, continue the hunt.
4) Drop out of timestop, say fuck it and give up for the night.

One seems the most intelligent. Let's avoid involving uncontrollable factors like in number two, and dropping time stop is a big no no.

We could just solidify the grief and try to move it every couple of seconds if we lack the fine detection needed. Anyways, the hope that grief control doesn't extend time stop normally was the main draw for me.

Currently, Option 1 is the least risky and solves the problem pretty easily, though it will lead to us lugging around a medicine ball of Grief. Option 2 is riskier, and not much less consumptive, but it could help us make inroads with Kyouko if we call our shots right. (We probably won't.) Option 3 is problematic, and risks the night becoming a net loss, and Option 4 is just plain bad.

So for now, I'd say Option 1, as long as it's on the table, is the best option.

Or if we'd read it without picking it up, as I'd thought was the leading vote.

One of the reasons I made the vote tally tool was so that everyone could have it and check how a vote's going when they wanted to.

okay so out of my little breakdown of shit we can possibly do....oh goddammit I just realized something
If we push on, we completely lose all the progress we made with Mami
because we are still being 'reckless'
Get blown up?
Fuck it heal and push on

Minor epiphany I just had.
