@SWB: Even without Homura I'd say it remains 1# priority, due "here's how far I am" and due Homura not experimenting with it herself significantly (what's with her thoughts on witchbomb), I believe.

Yes, but we need someone skilled with magic to test the prevailing hypotheses, and timestop can only help both the waiting problem and security, and she's the only person we know who might know anything about this subject aside from Kyubey, and she demonstrated genuine interest when she saw our mysterious grief seed.

On said prevailing hypotheses, Kyubey claims that magical girls "lose their magic" when their soul gem fills. Unless I'm misremembering fanon here. Since the bastard doesn't lie, that adds a little weight to the "magic is one of the missing ingredients" theory.

e: I don't think we disagree here, so don't take this as me trying to argue. Just adding weight to my earlier statement I guess.

I'm really not comfortable with the secrets line right now. I know it's necessary to reveal our metaknowledge at some point, but doing it at this time feels lot like we're prematurely locking ourselves into revealing the witchbomb on her, and that's without considering what would happen if Mami badgers us.

Also, I get the distinct feeling that I'm being suckered into something here, but I can't quite place my finger on it.

We haven't revealed anything concrete yet, and we definitely aren't witchbombing her right now no matter what. The metaknowledge doesn't necessarily lead to the witchbomb- it's an extrapolation from "knows about the system in ways we can't explain"- and we have a lot of secrets to go through before the witchbomb.

Never mind that, this idea's ill-advised and out of place.

@SWB: Good points, but none that precludes us from testing other things than what we want her help with.

After all, we found out stuff we're testing by accident.

@Cannongerbil: I want to follow up our last night's apology. Beyond that, we do need to differ what and how we're releasing and what is she asking for, anyway (I liked Kinematic's cards idea) - but as it is morning, I neither want to support "I will" for everything.

I don't remember Kyubey ever saying that. I know Mami said it at one point in the show.

Could be that Kyubey said "magical girls lose ability to call on their magic" or the like?
I know that when Sayaka asked why she would need grief seeds that he said that Kyoko was so powerful because she could go for broke in any given fight because she had seeds to spare, but I don't recall him ever touching on the issue until he was forced.

If we get both Mami and Homura to hang out, we should practice our anti-walmartnight measures. Timestop+Tiro Finale Forever.
I want to get Homura in on grief science, especially when it comes to grief seed / soul gem experiments.
While we're at it, we should see if Homura can hold a time-stop while entering a Barrier, if she hasn't tried already. I came up during the Oriko hunt.

Following up on my above reply to Kinematics, tentative minor in votecrafting:

[ ] Telepathy your scheduled morning's greeting's to everyone!
[ ] Check in with Rin in particular.
[ ] Give Kyoko an update on Oriko and Sendai.

[ ] After morning greeting's, ask when and where people would be comfortable to have a gathering.

The last line is, of course, in case Mami doesn't stay with us. Possibly the first line too, as they go well together.

[x]Wake up earlier than usual.
-[x]Prepare an eastern breakfast.
[x]Ask her what she'd like to do. Does she want to go to school today? Ask to have the talk later today if she does.
[x]Ping and update Homura once Mami decides
[x]If Mami didn't go to school
-[x]There are things we haven't told her yet. Some of them aren't just ours to tell, some of them we're not too sure about ourselves, and some of them we're not even sure how to talk about. We were too scared to tell her a lot of this, and we still are. But she deserves to know all of it, and we promise that we will tell her everything. We can start now with what we can, if she wants. Do not reveal the witchbomb under any circumstances.

Does Mumi even know about Waluiginight? Should we add that to the giant pile of secrets to reveal?
She knows of its existence (she talked with Kyouko about it when they were still together). I think there were indications that some MGs knew it was coming before it actually appeared, though I'm not sure how far ahead they know about it (1 day? 1 week? etc). Obviously, the fact that we know exactly when and where it's showing up is special knowledge.

Isn't Mami skipping school to hang out with us counterproductive to getting her less dependent on Sabrina, doing normalish things outside of being a meguca, and interacting with other people? Besides, didn't you guys want to try and talk to Kyoko soonish?

Somewhat, but we're not making the choice for her. It's up to her whether she wants to go to school, or if she doesn't feel ready for it after recent events.
