@aeqnai: *Translates into own experience* Hm, some of it is, what, regional level?

...but earlier to learn, too. Pretty darn good, this is.

Anyway, math is worst reason to go there given how uniform it is; history or the like would be far more benefitting of Sabrina, with main benefit still being interaction.

@Krecart: Kyubey!

We could just look up any history we wanted to know about. Going to school right now seems like a colossal waste of time.

Also, we want our oujo to be more independent. Going to school with her runs counter to that objective.

That reminds me. I don't think we told anybody to call us in case a seed get filled to full capacity.
I think it was pretty well implied.
Hoshiko had a natural phobia to being caged. This is a different kind of trauma. Because she's quite possibly a danger to herself right now, I'm not so sure it's a good idea to remove the binds.
Hasn't she gone completely limp, since Sakura's slap? I think she's pretty much completely out of it right now.

Both Onmur's and Muramasa's votes work fine, but I like Onmur's word choice and tone a bit better.

Once we decide to leave (depends on Akiko coming out of her catatonic state or not) we could tell them to call us if there's an emergency, like a sudden grief spiral or send Sakura.

Hasn't she gone completely limp, since Sakura's slap? I think she's pretty much completely out of it right now.
She's lying on the ground in a catatonic state:
Akiko crumples to the floor, blinking vacantly upwards.

[] Onmur.
Why are you guys even talking about going to school? It isn't necessary for keeping Sabrina mentally healthy and we've got other shit to do.

Akiko's trashing like a wild animal.
Should be thrashing, unless you mean something entirely different. Anyway,

[] Onmur
Edit: nevermind.

Just a hypothetical, really. Wondering whether or not it's possible, etc. It wouldn't be a great idea even if we could though, because [LIMPET INTENSIFIES]

So, assuming Akiko doesn't make a noteworthy recovery in the next couple of updates, what's the plan?

I don't think Onmur's vote is bad. I just don't like acknowledging or conceding on Akiko's methods. They were evil as fuck.

Fair. But that makes it a word choice problem. We need to get Sendai to acknowledge that Akiko only failed insofar as they lost one fight, without lecturing or sounding cold. And maybe that in the end, she cares about them, and they need to return that care.

It just needs to be done gently and maybe with a little subtlety

I'm not a subtle person.

[] Point out to the Sendai girls that Akiko's done everything she's done, for them. Keeping them alive and well remains her greatest victory.

Subtle...

[] Akiko's got a lot to answer for, but. [Nope. Too blunt]

[] There's one good thing Akiko's done and that's keeping the lot of you alive and well. It doesn't excuse her methods, but [Positive message].

[] She's gonna need you to look after her. She's done her best to look out for you, despite her means to do so. [Don't know how to phrase this without pointing out how toxic their group relationship is]

[] I'm not saying Akiko's evil. But she's totally evil. Lock her up.

So you're saying we're fucked.
Yes.

Assuming for one moment we're capable of snapping her out of this - why, precisely, does everyone think this would be a good thing?
As for turning around - having just, finally made some progress on shaking loose the 'Akiko's an asshole, but she gets results!' mindset Sendai have been clutching - and pointing out that 'hey, Akiko got results!' ... What the actual fuck.

They're lost. Sakura has no idea. Yumi is drifting. Rin is on the outside looking in. Tamiko is doing her best, maybe. I would count this a success if it ended in a group hug. That's not a very high bar, but it isn't happening right now.

I think you have a good point. But it isn't about the results (and maybe it should be phrased away from the results). It's about her motivations. 'Akiko's an asshole, but her reasons weren't awful'. Her methods were, but now isn't the time for that.

Internet access get.

She got results. Most of them were bad shit. But she did accomplish something, and she did it for them.

They should acknowledge both of those things. Right now they're trying to help her back back into her senses, but look at this shit:
You withdraw the last Soul Gem in your pocket, a clear blue, multifaceted Gem that you hold up. It catches the scant light, throwing it back in your face.

None of the Sendai girls seems to want to take it. Yumi's frowning slightly, an expression mirrored on Tamiko's face. Rin looks indifferent, eyeing the Gem with an expression that's very nearly dislike. Sakura, of course, hasn't returned yet.

"I'm... not the person to wake Hamasaki up, I think," you say. "So... who's closer to her?"

Hesitantly, Yumi steps forward, holding out her hand for the Soul Gem. You hand it over to her.
They're afraid of her. She needs them. I think that part of the vote is not about justifying Akiko's methods but about reminding the other girls that they're in this together.

Sakura and Rin seem ready to call Akiko on her shit, so the group is not a lost cause.

EDIT: Basically, loyalty to one's friends is good. It's their blind loyalty that's bad.

Maybe it's not the time for calling them on their shit, but maybe we can... Subtly (ha!) touch on it?

[]Despite everything, she hasn't failed today. The four of you are proof of that.

I'm trying to phrase it as 'she hasn't failed at what mattered the most (hint, hint)' but that runs into Setsuko's and Chika's death. Not that they'd care about Chika that much...

@Onmur: Rin maybe doesn't, but other veterans perhaps do.

Also, I'd say Akiko quite failed today. Failed at war, failed at negotiations and then failed at ambushing.

...Unless...Is it past midnight yet?
