[] If this is agreeable, ask that any seeds that Akiko considered 'private' or 'special' or whatever (if any) not be included in any transfer. Instead, Sabrina would like a chance to examine such things personally in connection with trying to work out what's going on with Akiko.

What was the point of this again? I'm probably being a little paranoid, but I'm not really comfortable with drawing attention to any "specialness" of grief seeds. Why do you guys even think Akiko has Setsuko's grief seed? Wouldn't Ishinomaki have taken her grief seed, assuming she did become a witch, since they apparently killed her, if they in fact did? If Akiko did have her grief seed, it would either be on her person or in a safe place away from the main stockpile. This line just seems kind of pointless in general.

Would that work? Aren't normal people bodies and meguca bodies different?
Other than the location of their souls, not appreciably. We still need to test that, of course, but if megucas can take control of a soulless body there shouldn't be a problem with taking control of a recently deceased one.

Just to be clear, I'm not actually seriously suggesting we start putting the souls of traumatized teenagers in random bodies.

Pretty much second this.

It's not 'special' in actual specialness, but in any way treated differently than normal grief seeds. Basically, did Akiko have anything she called her "Precious", or the equivalent. The words are in quotes because they're in reference to how Akiko treated them, not due to any intrinsic quality.

However, objections noted. I'll remove it.

But who's going to be the template?

No one needs to be. I'm basically advocating making 'blank' homunculi that shape to their wearers.

My counterpoint would be that Kyubey implies it pretty hard with language such as 'replacing' the body with indestructible/more durable ones, or however he phrased it. He seems to have done a bit more than simply remove the soul, imo.

Wasn't the plan to raid the morgue for the spare bodies?
It is safer, saner, more consensual and less squicky to just hand them bodies more like they died in (teenage girl ones) instead of grave robbing injured bodies from grieving families.

In fact, part of me wants to try press Hildegirl's soul gem into Akiko's hand to see what happens.

Where do we get non-random bodies for them then? Besides finding a way to make our own spares...

Seriously, WHY does Asunaro have so many people/things we could use?!
Do you want a basement lab full of clones? Because this is how you get a basement lab full of clones.
Do you not?

We'd have to store any hypothetical Reiquariums at Homura's place, though. There's just not enough room in our oujo's apartment.

...or maybe we could get Kirika to sell Oriko on letting us use their hideout as lab.

...This is going to be like the dub issue again, isn't it? Because I'm pretty sure that Kyubey doesn't use the term replacing during the reveal, or, for that matter, anything that suggest that Meguca bodies are appreciably different from regular people other than the "Ignore pain" and "Functional immortality" that the soul gem affords.

Can't Rin create flesh Ex nihilo? It'll probably take some time, but there's nothing to suggest that she can't create an empty body from scratch given enough practice.

A Sayakaquarium and a Sabrinaquarium for all your albino, end-of-the-world needs. The Homuraquarium had to be closed down when it was found shot through with bullet holes. The Kirikaquarium is cute, but disturbing, and has to be kept far away from the Orikaquarium. The Sakuraquarium is always empty, for some reason; ignore the graffiti.

Yes, but we haven't managed to do that yet. Plus, I like the idea of having ask our friends, especially Homura, where we could store a bunch of dead bodies.
Mami: "Hold on, why did you ask Homura to store dead bodies if you could easily create them quickly or store them in a cupboard?"
Sabrina: "So we could become better friends! I like Homura and want her to socialize more."
Mami: "...Anything you want, Sabrina, I can help with."

Because they're awesome mad science without morals. Let's go there next.
Fuck yeah road trip again. Lets try to finish that quest while Mami is in school.

The Akiqouarium breached containment and ran away. Sasamiquarium is dirty and half-empty. Instead of an aquarium, we have Chouko collection kept under glass. Rinaquarium is alive and always follows viewers around.
