No, we just keep on beating the crap out of them so they focus on the guys that keep on beating them up.They are bugging the Thunder Speakers and the MW. It sounds like they gave us a lick and then went "Euuuugh! ICKY!".

Because we interact most with them and the Eastern Hills are hard to cross and they don't know most of the pathways there or what is on the other side. You know I just had a thought but why hasn't a big nomad Waagh!! hit the Thunder Horses dead on like do we have some special trait that makes nomad Waagh!!s targeted at us or are we just plain unlucky to be the main foucus of all ones we know of?
Also how hilarious would it be if sometime in the future we are fighting another heroic martial Waagh!! but our Blackbirds crit and assassinate him easily and the kicker AN thought this would be our equivalent to Genghis or Attila which we basically no sold.
They did have a hero, he was the son of the first Martial Hero who ravaged our territory then conquered the Metal Workers in a turn, also they don't have spoked chariots yet I believe
I specifically meant in the context of this update. Here it is indicated we are too spiky for their tastes. No, we just keep on beating the crap out of them so they focus on the guys that keep on beating them up.
Rulhuthyn was good at his job of leading men to victory, but he knew that in large part that was because the nomads had realized quickly that the People were going to be a hard target to fight and were not throwing their primary strength at them, preferring to hit softer targets like the disorganized Metal Workers and the distracted Thunder Speakers, one section lead by the father, another by the son, both of whom had proven themselves brilliant leaders capable of smashing everything that they came into contact with. While they had lost a considerable number of their warriors fighting the People, they had also glutted themselves on the herds of the eastern nomads, and seized the weaponry of the Metal Workers and Thunder Speakers. Refugees poured in from the steppes, and while they were welcomed they also brought with them fear and unease from their situation.
No, he left after his crit success and started a new tribe in the north. Either way, there was no hero attacking us when they got bronze, just their remnants. Possibly raiding easier targets. That's what this tribe is, his decedents. I'm pretty sure it was dad who took over the metal workers. They did have a hero, he was the son of the first Martial Hero who ravaged our territory then conquered the Metal Workers in a turn, also they don't have spoked chariots yet I believe
But that doesn't equal the governors getting private armies. Look at the original description:
He's delegating recruitment, not leadership. Our king will still be leading the troops, not the governors.
Government Type
Oligarchic Ancient Kingdom
A king holds chief executive power, but is primarily drawn from and voted in by a limited set of families backed by economic might and military elites.
Pros: Good mix of central authority and provincial autonomy
Cons: Beware competing ambitions...
Academia Nut has said that Size+Portability would be best for the war effort.Given the emphasis that our king is placing on the need to crush the west quickly if he's going there, actually, it sounds like speed might be a better focus than size for the new boats. Getting there and back more quickly means there's less of a chance for the hero we're not fighting to take advantage of the weakened defenses.
We lack the glory seeking and land seeking and independent armies of traditional Lords
You have no idea how many civil wars you have narrowly avoided because of this.
Academia Nut has said that Size+Portability would be best for the war effort.
@Academia Nut will having a new size design help the relieve west action more than portability+size action?
Clarification. It doesn't leave it undefended, but weakened. Now in fairness, the last time we weaken a part of our line, Nomadic Hero Duo 1 managed to bypass the ST and caused the first famine in recorded Ymaryn history. However, we do have several things stacking our deck:Of note to people voting to go west I will point out that it leaves our east undefended, and we have no NE March to block the way into Stonepen and Northshore and son(?)(not sure from update) is still out there in that direction.
...they only had to deal with center and East.Stallion Tribes (March) - Eliminates raids from the north and mitigates raids from the east, can provide military advances and supports the Western Wall
Not necessarily true since my question was whether a new size design or the portability+size boat would be better. So speed as a new design or a portability+size boat might actually be better.Academia Nut has said that Size+Portability would be best for the war effort.
I actually asked AN and he said that portability+size is better than a new size design for relieving the west.
Yes, he did
... are you arguing for Speed then? No, he didn't.
Just that the size design would not help more than longboats.
So the quote of yours in my previous post was a lie? Or was it a misrepresentation? Not necessarily true since my question was whether a new size design or the portability+size boat would be better. So speed as a new design or a portability+size boat might actually be better.
Ninja'd
It was the first quote Infound and I'm not searching through this thread at the speed it goes, I'd be dead before I found the post, even if I used the search engineYou realize I provided the actual quote where NotteBoy97 asked, right?
Nah McLuvin, the question was specifically in regards to portability + size vs pure size. Speed did not factor in at all, so it could well be that speed stuff is far out in first and then you have portability + size in second and then pure size in third. So the above quote, was a lie? Or was it a misrepresentation?
Because you said, exactly, that the AN said Portability+Size was better for the West
