Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

[X] Plan In Memory of Robert Shaw
-[X]The Recasting of Robert Shaw: Robert is dead, and while production stalled, you, unfortunately, need to replace him. His role is too important to keep vacant. DC: ???
--[X] Bob Hoskins
-[X]The Towering Mr. Fox: Morgan Freeman is a titan it seems, with quiet grace and truly remarkable timing. Both comedic and dramatic. And he's really happy to work on Batman for some reason. DC: 40
-[X]Alec Guinness and the continuing Butler Craziness: So Alex has wanted to work on Alfred's more… parental treatment of Bruce and even wrote a scene where he demands Batman sleeps and eats. DC: 35
-[X]Alan's Addentum: So Alan wants you to show up briefly in Flash, and wants to get that scene out of the way. Is that the Watch Tower Set? DC: 50
-[X]Kagemusha: Kurasawa wants to release his next greatest epic. DC: 0
-[X]Ron Howards Bizzare Script: So Ron wants to make a movie. So what is it? DC: 0
-[X]Dream Works... Holy fuck Tomino?: So Tomino has let dreamworks geta little chaotic. Sunrise is dealing with budget issues. Bandi Namco are unhappy. And Hanna Barbara want to talk about the future. DC: 30
-[X]Debbie's Simplicity: Debbie has begun a routine, and you find yourself enjoying it. DC:???
-[X]When Mary Wrote to the smart people: Your daughter, bless her soul, is the light of your life. So when you and Carrie saw numerous professors and special interests men… well want to bring her into a think tank, you suddenly realized how Special Mary herself wants to be. Since she went behind your back… and Carries. You looked to Mike Eisner and Brandon. "What the fuck, did you do!" DC: ???
-[X]What to do with the Mansion: This mansion will remain, but you have no idea what to do with it, since it has basically served its purpose as your fortress in the Hills.
--[X] Keep the mansion around as a second home, a place to host very large gatherings for family, friends and company and if another crisis hits, a place to fall back and be protected. When not using it, rent it out for Lucasfilms or other studios to use in movies. Not only did it make for an Excellent Wayne Manor, but apparently it would be perfect for a bond villain and numerous other settings.
-[X]Train Brandon: Brandon came to you with a piece of paper. "Got my first role. Wanna see it?"
-[X]Investments: You want to invest your hard-earned cash into something that you feel will be a good return on investment. And as well as diversify your assets DC: 0 (Linetail what you wish to invest in below this action, and the amount of money you want to invest in)
--[X] Purchase Apple Stocks. $60 Million. Your older brother has been doing wonders at Apple and from the looks of it, it seems like they are the company outside of ILM doing the most to innovate technology and computers. Purchase enough stocks to get your foot in the door, not only for future cooperation with Lucasfilms, but also to help Gavin with his career.
-[X]Networking: Well time to start finding out who might actually be interested in meeting you. (Write-in what you want to try and network with)
--[X] John G. Avildsen. There are two directors who you trust with Kung Fu Kid. George doesn't know much about sports and martial arts, and the other is John G. Avildsen. John created art with Rocky, brilliantly directing Sylvester's script with love and care, making it deserving of an Oscar, just the kind of guy you need to direct Kung Fu Kid. Reach out to John and try to recruit him as the film's director so that when production starts next year, it can be in good hands.

Bob Hoskins not only has the physical characteristics of Penguin, but he's a pretty good actor too and will do his job faithfully, and we have one Bob fill the shoes of a Bob. Vibe with Morgan and Alec. Do the Flash after credits.

Release Kagemusha and get Kurosawa his first mainstream film release. Check in with Ron and see what kind of movie he wants to do. Help support Tomino in managing Dreamworks.

Now for the personal actions which thankfully are all autopasses this turn, some nice fluff with Debbie through mother-in-law, son-in-law bonding. Check in to see what the heck Mary did and help remain on the right path. She can do genius stuff later in life, it's better for her to be a kid now.

For the mansion, I think that we should still keep it around as you never know who is gonna be out for blood next along with whatever crisis can happen for future O'Brians. However, we can use it for large gatherings and events or a place just to retreat, and since it worked so well for Batman, I think it could work out great for other movies.

Train Brandon and see what kind of role he's in. Hopefully it's something that won't be too time consuming so we can start Kung Fu Kid when we're done with Batman.

For Apple, purchase 50 million in stocks which should be about 30% of Apple. I know some people want us to buy Apple outright, but I think Lucasfilms if it expands further at this stage will be bloated and we're already heavily focused on entertainment to go into outright computers. This is more than enough to have our foot in the door on the board and support Gavin.

Lastly network with John G. Avildsen so we can secure him as Director for Kung Fu Kid. I don't know if @Magoose confirmed on if we can safely film in Hong Kong, but considering we helped cause China's global isolation as the new pariah state and China considers Hong Kong to be Chinese territory even now, I don't want to take chances. John is a great director and will do the film justice.

Makes sense to me, let's go for it!

[X] Plan In Memory of Robert Shaw

@Magoose, can we dedicate the movie to Shaw's memory?

Buying only 30% of stock is asking for future problems where the remaining shareholders rebel against us for some stupid thing and they blame LucasFilm a la OTL Save Disney campaign. I would instead propose we buy 51% to be certain. And that argument that LucasFilm would be bloated if we buy Apple is not true because the plan was always that Apple would have a large degree of self-controle and Apple would be crucial to help our 3D animation like they did OTL.

Couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd make this quick post. The Undertale pitch has been coming along rather nicely so far and I'm almost done(Over a year of work has gone into this damn thing, I'm really excited!), although it'll still take me some time to put it out since I'm currently focusing on other omakes and pitches, my Spring semester just started up, and I'm working on an accompanying omake, but I thought I'd ask about what people's thoughts were on the casting that I've chosen thus far. Here's the list so far...

Frisk: Laura Mooney
Chara: Laura Mooney
Flowey: Mark Hamill (I was thinking of using Ronald McDonald, since the Ronald McDonald around the 80s-90s was the voice used for Flowey in the game, just distorted, but I felt like they wouldn't realistically let us use the actor/his voice since it would damage the brand or something by having a kid friendly mascot be associated with a scary character for children)
Toriel Dreemur: Carrie Fisher or Sigourney Weaver
Papyrus: Alan Oppenheimer
Sans: Patrick Warburton
Undyne: Mary McDonald Lewis
Alphys: Nicole Jaffe
Mettaton: David Bowie or Freddie Mercury
Muffet: Russi Taylor
Asgore Dreemur: James Earl Jones
Asriel Dreemur: Jason Marin
Monster Kid: Nancy Cartwright
Grillby:
Burgerpants: Bill Farmer or Jim Cummings or Nicholas Cage
Napstablook:
Temmie: Russi Taylor or Judith Barsi
W.D Gaster:

The Other Monsters: Frank Welker

What are ya'lls thoughts on them so far? Do you guys have any suggestions, either for roles already casted or any left blank? Let me know, I'd love to hear what you guys think about it. For now...I sleep 😴💤💤💤

The same argument can be made with Polaroid, Shamoloc cars, or plenty of other enterprises that we want to purchase in the future we want them because it is cool and profitable.

We have the opportunity of getting total control over the fucking Apple, let´s not waste it...

Exactly, that is why I am presenting you my plan which is the same as @Kaiser Chris but we are trying to buy all the stock from the IPO...

I could be convinced of going for 51% but since we have loads of money we can but is more and then use part of some stock to get profits and since they are going to release the Apple II soon we can do that very soon... And besides that this is roll-dependent I would rather try to get 100% of the stock and end up with 70% than go for 51% and end up with 30%...

Guys, really why settle for a 30% of Apple, the most valuable corporation in the world, when we can get the whole thing for (considering our profits in merchandising alone) a pittance... If we were aiming to get 51% of the stick would be fine, but only 30%?

And seriously, Kaiser Chris ' excuse that Lucasfilms "will be bloated" if we is buy Apple is pretty flimsy since we have already bought business that can be generously considered tangentially related to entertainment like Polaroid, and we are planning to expand into cars, electronics, editorials, and even fast food...

I don't think there'd be a "Save the Apple campaign" since Apple doesn't have the brand history and institutional and cultural power of Disney. At this time they make some damn good computers but they're one of dozens of computer companies pop up and are far from the societal norm that Apple has become where half the population uses some sort of Apple product. Plus, unlike Save Disney, we're not corporate raiders, we actually give a shit about what we purchase and want them to succeed.

I guess the biggest reason that prevents me from buying out Apple is that I don't think it would be in-character for the Steves to accept a film company buying their company outright when they're just getting started and making their first big waves. The other examples like Polaroid, Hanna-Barbera and Marvel all made sense cause they were suffering from various market or internal problems and needed outside help to fix everything while Apple isn't in such a position. I guess Woz would be okay with a Lucasfilms buyout since he's chill like that, but I think Jobs would be immediately hostile to a majority buyout and might leave entirely.

Last time we interacted with Jobs things were messy between us and now we stand in a position to buy out his whole company. Jobs can be a bit of a prideful narcissist, and losing control over his company to a movie studio could make him do rash things. Plus there's the potential for animosity with Gavin where he's sort of the outsider that came into Apple late, made better code than anyone there, and took over a leadership position with his brother then buying out the company.

At 30%, we'll be THE leading stock owners of Apple and will likely be able to appoint a Chairman based off of that alone. Most of the other major shareholders will likely follow Bruce's lead considering his business prowess, and if we buy out the entire stock of initial IPO, I don't see what would prevent Apple from releasing more stocks to dilute our control until ownership is finalized, nevermind that the Steves will both want ownership in their company.

I was never too much of a fan of pursuing Apple as that can lead us down the slope of being a wall street wolf when we should just make movies, but it's been a rather popular demand so I thought this would be a good compromise that would keep us in a undeniable leadership position that no one else can match for now. Might be willing to raise to $75 million.

It would still leave the door open for competitors or a union of disgrunteld shareholders to block and try to kick LucasFilm out. You might say that is unrealistic but this quest does not run on logic and has a tendency to be more dramatic.
Plus, unlike Save Disney, we're not corporate raiders, we actually give a shit about what we purchase and want them to succeed.
Kinda irrelevent. Shareholders want RI (return on investment) but LF (LucasFilm) is a wierd company which does not focus on that, so if we were dominate but not controling it creates friction and leaves the door open for shareholders who do not see our vision to kick us out via hostile actions.
I guess the biggest reason that prevents me from buying out Apple is that I don't think it would be in-character for the Steves to accept a film company buying their company outright when they're just getting started and making their first big waves.
We spent a turn already addresing this some time ago and the deal we struck was that we could controle the stock but Jobs would have job security and a large degree of autonomy, but I have to dig that up.

I just don't want another Toho disater, so I want to play it safe and close the door to any potential dice idiocy.

Where exactly was it discussed like that? Because I thought that was the Marvel agreement while the Apple action tended to just be that the meeting didn't go well but we could try again later.

Steve Jobs, is a fucking asshole. You said that straight to his face as he told you that he was not interested in working with anyone who isn't the best, and he did not see you as such.

Gavin told you that it was okay, but you should have come up with a better pitch. Starting with Dollar signs and possibilities about making something that could catapult his company to the top.

And how you wondered your offer insured him.

Thankfully, he could get the Steves to talk to you again, in a few weeks. Just also remember to promise to make him boat loads of cash.
Looks like I owe you an apology @Kaiser Chris because I completly misremembered that. Though in my defence I'm very ill right now but still sorry.
What this comment does tell us is that Jobs wants money and if we throw enough Star Wars mech money at him he will be persuaded.

EDIT: The search function on this site is very shit like my God. Perhaps one of the few negative points of this site.

@Kaiser Chris what do you mean animosity between our brother and Steve Jobs from the omake Jobs looked Impressed at our brother perfecting his creation hell this can be used to at least migrate the control of the company because our brother trust us to take good care of it and we have revolutionized cinema tech

Unless you raise it to around $90 million and we get 51% it doesn't really matter.
It does matter, as it shows he's willing to compromise despite having given, in my opinion, very good reasons why trying to outright buy Apple is a bad move on our behalf.

Besides, owning Apple in the end is outside our scope or remit. Hell, the only reason we have ILM or Pixar is for the express purpose of making better Special and Visual Effects for movies. To try and get Apple for any other reason than that is, in my opinion, superfluous as we are not going to enter the Computer Developement and Selling business like Jobs and the rest want to do.

Hi I have been reading this I have an idea for justice league and superman 3?
superman 3? If you are interested I don't know how to write plots so here goes.

What if the flash multiversal machine is grant morrison's final crisis wish box and darksied wants it because after infinite earths crisis he knows that this new earth will give rise to new multiverse he wants to conquer prime earth which is the cinematic universe making him tyrant of. All multiversal existence at the end of the movie it seems that all is lost until superman makes the wish of the box a happy ending for all that ends with the defeat of darksied and in post credits end we see darksied screaming in rage at the colossal defeat as he sees the creation of a new multiverse wild and free his ultimate humiliation and sees the creation of new genesis in front of his eyes all for the desire of superman in summary justice league e literally becomes the number 1 of the new continuity Ac, Dc (Before the crisis and after the crisis)

And for superman 3 how about the adaptation of the man who had it all a very intimate story of superman here we see the yearnings of clark but also something that is missing from Reeves superman his fury his hatred God I can imagine Superman saying Burn in rage to see his innermost dreams going up in smoke at the end.
So they think
