[X] Plan Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting: Family Drama Edition
-[X] The Final Cut: George has all the battles finished. He wants to finally show it off. DC: 0
-[X] Begin Production on The Kung Fu Kid: You are ready to start producing the movie and find out just how good of a producer you are. (Starts Production miniturn) (As Star Wars is beginning it's final post-production, you can now begin)
-[X] Importing Foreign Films: So… you may have a way to get some films showing in American Theaters. Maybe you can go to other foreign film industries and… well, ask to distribute their films. Sure many of those foreign film companies never expected an American company to distribute their films in the US… but maybe you can get money without producing them. (Linetail where you try to get films from, and if there are any specific films, line tail them below) DC: ???
--[X] Hong Kong:
Way of the Dragon
-[X] Do Auditions (Movies and TV Shows): You are going to go to some of the casting calls that are in the place where you can find work in. DC: 20 (Possibility of only getting a commercial or TV show job, or extra work in a low-budget film)
--[X] Go for an International Role: Considering the offers you've been getting from East Asia (
huge fans of your work), and wanting something of a working vacation, you're inclined to just say yes.
-[X] The Ongoing Drama of Eddie Fisher: Eddie Fisher has invited you and Carrie over for dinner. Hopefully, to reconnect. You want to believe this is real, but you are having doubts. But Carrie has decided to try it out, for one night. DC: 0/40/100
-[X] Debbie Reynolds Dream Role: Debbie has come to Lucasfilms, and described her Dream Role as an actress, one that, if she ever got, would make her retire as she has no other drive. DC: 40
-[X] Affection: You and Carrie looked at one another, before you blushed and looked away. "There is a much better way to do this?" DC: 30
-[X] Research stuff, see if anything piques your interest: You may have graduated High School as a kid, but you never stopped trying to learn. DC: 15 (Write-in what you want to learn about below)
--[X] Swordfighting: You'd spent a few of your off hours learning a few tips and tricks from the other Olympians, but the most fun you had was when you briefly sparred with a few of the guys from the US Fencing team, even making a friend in fellow New Yorker
Edward Donofrio. Now determined to achieve some mastery in swordsmanship, you've made some arrangements with
Bob Anderson for fencing lessons when you get back, but for now you just want to get in touch with this Jackie Chan that helped Mike out a few years ago. Apparently, he's just a good a stuntman as you are, if not better...and well, you always were one for
competition.
Originally this plan leaned harder into making the Hong Kong trip more of a working vacation [so that we can take a small break after the Olympics], our relationship with Carrie takes priority, so first we need to ensure the family's comfortable before we leave for work, where the focus is to bring honor to our late master Bruce Lee, like finally getting the rights to
Way of the Dragon and (we've talked about) starting
Kung Fu Kid which is dedicated to him (after the Olympics), the audition is to help build good will, and finally learning swordfighting while building up a connection with Jackie Chan and having fun while doing so.
What could have been:
-[] Take a walk: Dad always said that the best ways to get inspiration are by walking, talking, and being open-minded. So you'll try that. DC: 10 (You are just going for a walk, what could be really said?)
--[] Dragon's Back: You've been wanting to do something a little different and heard good things about this route, especially the much longer, unofficial trail.
