Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

I don't want Ezra Bridger to make any appearance in this universe. I don't know what possessed anyone to make him a Jedi, but if we're supposed to add anything from Rebels then I would rather it be Kanan. His story is the more interesting one in my opinion.
Literally the only things I remember being worth a damn in Rebels was the Ashoka vs Vader fight and the Obi Wan vs Maul fight. Don't remember anything about Kanan so I can't speak to him, but seriously, fuck Rebels. Look how they massacred my boy! They made Thrawn into a fucking joke. And don't even get me started on the spinning lightsaber flying bullshit.

Journey to Imagination
That is cool and man oh man do I feel that.

[]Prepare yourself the Animators are coming (Discount the animation department)
[]So wait, they did what now? (Unknown effect)
[]Don Bluth and his quest to save Animation (Unknown effect)
So people like Cal, Ezra and Ahsoka should definitely be okay for the EU and even hints in the movies and possible show appearences.
I mean I'm not going to be against it but I want you all to remember that George is still calling the shots, and he may decide to do some different things now that he has been able to you know… survive a new hope intact without having to be stressed to hell and back.
For now, I think the main point is that we save all the Order 66 survivors for the EU and not have them be on the OT as that would take away from Luke and the significance of Obi-wan and Yoda. Allude that there are other Jedi out there, but they either refuse to fight or have walked away from the path of the Jedi like Cal and Ahsoka no longer identifying as such or the Skirata adopted Jedi becoming Mandalorians instead
One thing I am going to but in on is also maybe play into a really wierd trope and idea from Kotor I like…

Have some be too traumatized by the clone wars that they cut themselves off from the force.
From here instead of Luke fucking around for 8 years and then founding the Yavin Academy with Jedi kids and his friends from the Rebel Alliance, we can have post-Endor see Luke begin a great journey across the galaxy to connect with the survivors, learn of what lead to the Order's downfall, and then create a New Jedi Order that has learned from the old
You could even call it a Journey to the west? :V
will say, I think it be appropriate to add just abit of 80s and 90s puff. It's not like the EU folks have a detailed set of plans for the universe to come, and well, it's the era, lean into the cheese.
Indeed.

Now their chief I might actually step in… it may be a very difficult opinion for you to like, but I actually liked rebels…. After season 1.

I think Kanan is an interesting charecter with Ezra… because without him he'd just be another lost Jedi making his way through the universe and fighting for the rebellion.

Hell some of the story ideas that were in rebels were great… if poorly executed, I'll give you that.
Look how they massacred my boy! They made Thrawn into a fucking joke. And don't even get me started on the spinning lightsaber flying bullshit.
Thrawn was still the best part about the last season of rebels even when they did… those things to him.

I'm just glad they didn't destroy our boy Pelly.

I'm not a rebels Stan but I am also saying there is merit within rebels… if only because they didn't lose all the edge from the clone war… just most of it.

When it hits it hits. But it dosent hit as much as the clone wars did and that is sad.

Goddammit Disney

Without the Work of Filoni, we wouldn't HAVE Pelleon in Canon!

UNDERSTAND! Pelly is like the Best Impiral.
I mean Thrawn is the best imperial character and that is without question that isn't Vader or the emperor. Even Tarkin dosent go that hard

No I am not biased towards the Thrawn trilogy as one of the pinnacle stories of sci fi and arguably one of the best that has ever been written. But then I would repeat myself.

I'm just glad other characters are at least close to that level like Pelly.

KOTOR 2 is unironically still one of my favorite games to this day and Meetra Surik is still one of my all time favorite Star Wars characters. I just hate how badly they punked her and Revan in SWTOR with those stupid ass deaths.

I blame BioWare deciding that no… they couldn't continue kotor, and instead of being true to source material, the ducked and found out that no… something's are better left unsaid.

Or maybe give us a god damn complete trilogy!

No I am not mad about it, why do you ask? :V

So question on the EU: Constant reuse of the Imps as villians or innovate pretty quickly?
In my mind, inovate or die.

But then again the imperials should always be a threat post empire if not in military then in what they left behind… in propaganda and stuff

Or we can use operation Cinder to show how mad papa Palps is.

have walked away from the path of the Jedi like Cal
Point of order, as someone who has played both games he hasn't. He found a planet inaccessible to the Empire, the mythical planet Tanalorr, and is trying to use the Hidden Path to rebuild the Order there (at least a version of it), his first disciple being Bode Akuna's daughter.

But I will agree it's kind of vague as to what path he's following until after the third and final game gets released.
From here instead of Luke fucking around for 8 years and then founding the Yavin Academy with Jedi kids and his friends from the Rebel Alliance, we can have post-Endor see Luke begin a great journey across the galaxy to connect with the survivors, learn of what lead to the Order's downfall, and then create a New Jedi Order that has learned from the old.
Yes, I absolutely agree, this is a great idea.
I'm all for Ahsoka Tano still bein alive, and Kal Skirata and his Mandalorian Force Users could make for an interesting arc or movie down the line, but I want to make sure of one thing; I don't want Ezra Bridger to make any appearance in this universe. I don't know what possessed anyone to make him a Jedi, but if we're supposed to add anything from Rebels then I would rather it be Kanan. His story is the more interesting one in my opinion.
I mean, this is partly why I'm trying to use Dave Alistair as a method of preintroducing some of Legends and Disney (a limited amount) into the EU (by the way, I'm giving full permission for people to also use the character and apocrypha in their own works), which is why I have Darman Skirata, (and his son) make an appearance.

As for Rebels, I think that while I would love to see Kanan, we also need to see him with at least Sabine, who I honestly think proves to be the better and more interesting pupil for him to have, especially as we rarely see any Force user regularly train (and essentially raise) a non Force-sensitive, and provides an additional bridge of reconciliation between the Jedi and Mandalorians [the others being obviously Obi-Wan, Grogu and (hopefully) Luke].
I mean I'm not going to be against it but I want you all to remember that George is still calling the shots, and he may decide to do some different things now that he has been able to you know… survive a new hope intact without having to be stressed to hell and back.
I understand, it's why the Alistairian Apocrypha series is mostly the parts of Dave's musings that [I think] George is the most interested in.

By the way, what does George think of the amount of lore Dave routinely pump out? They been making competitions about it, or do they literally spitball at each other until the wee hours of the night once they really get going?

Mostly asking to see how much I need to pull back, seeing as I'm pretty close to having a few story beats about Dave getting burnt out for a bit.
...are you asking to see Luke's clone be made, however briefly, EU canon?
I blame BioWare deciding that no… they couldn't continue kotor, and instead of being true to source material, the ducked and found out that no… something's are better left unsaid.
...what did George think of Dave's HK?
So question on the EU: Constant reuse of the Imps as villians or innovate pretty quickly?
I think that we should absolutely avoid the Fel Empire, because there is no world where I see Leia's daughter marrying into that kinda of nonsense as canon to anything; Ben being interested in Vestara Khai, part of the Sith Remnant, on the other hand...I can see that, considering his dad.

But in all honesty, I want to see what George's vision of the Crimson Dawn as the criminal underbelly slowly devolving into outright terrorism under the control of Maul would be, failing either the Yuzhong Vong and/or a USSR-expy.

So, Give Me Innovation or Give Me Death!
Or we can use Operation Cinder to show how mad papa Palps is.
Yes.

Possible hot take, but Operation Cinder is dumb as fuck. There is really no reason why it should exist.
Agree to disagree as I belive we all have been distracted by current Star Wars bullshit

As it mostly does not affect us here besides a warning of the dark times…

Of the evil empire

Of not being a good friend and helping him though dark times.

Oh and making shit loads of money

...I would go for either of the latter two options, but that unknown effect has me weary of taking them. It could be awesome, but it could also be something that would aid our enemies.

...Goddamn it, fine!

[X]Don Bluth and his quest to save Animation (Unknown effect)

Had an idea for our Sequel Trilogy: basically Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, but Star Wars.

Just imagine, the whole trilogy has Luke and his Order battling Crimson Dawn, when during one of the final confrontations of the arc, we have Luke facing Maul in a fight similar to the one between Terry's Batman and Joker, where Maul detests Luke as a pale reflection of Obi-Wan, and Luke proves very much he is a worthy successor to his master.

What kind of scratch post are we looking at for Ginger?
Speaking of ginger there is a new action next turn… turns out having the worlds only healthy pure bred Scottish fold has raised some eyebrows.

And made her a prime breeder for the population.

I'm not against it but also… eh. Works better in Batman.

Let me do the math - typical queen can have four litters, and assuming four to six, so let's say five, per litter, so that's about twenty kittens total, which means...wait, what did they cost in the '70s?...fuck it, too late to back out now, so let's say $1,500 based on today's prices and use the inflation calculator to backtrack to '77, that's about...$300 per kitten, which leaves us with - $6000? Can't be.

...I'm dyscalcic, help.

I mean, I left it intentionally a little vague so that we can build up the concept and only one of a few ideas I have rattling around up here, like the one where Maul and his apprentice (Darth Talon?) break one of Luke's students together (leaning towards Jacen Solo) and essentially mold them in a similar manner that Joker did to DCAU Tim Drake, before switching tracks to essentially Death in the Family bad timeline Red Hood Jason where their last confrontation basically devolves into this - - when Maul realizes who the fuck this pretender is, having lost track of him (and not caring) after breaking so, and reveling in breaking a legacy of Obi-Wan's and twisting, molding it into one of his own.

legit one of the reason's I'd love to be Batman is so we can be Old Man Bruce in a possible Batman Beyond movie in like 2020s
I'd rather we take on the role of Harvey Dent. We could appear in all movies showing a clear line of character growth until we become Two Face. This would hit even harder for the fans who watch all of the movies than a more static charctwr like Batman.

What are people's opinions on this? While I wouldn't mind Ginger becoming a mama and having kittens, to me it seems more than a bit scummy to just force Ginger to breed and pump out kittens for the rest of her life so that the Scottish Folds can become a healthy breed. I'd much rather Ginger have kittens at her own pace and then give those kittens to trusted friends and family than rich strangers who will then just use those kittens to breed and sale more folds.

Here's an idea, let's incorporate elements of Hush (childhood best friend, broken mentality, etc. etc.) to make it hit a little harder when Joker starts breaking Harvey, which coincidentally also throws comic book nerds off the trail when they think we initially teased Hush.

Pretty sure most cats can have up to four litters and the breed averages a fifteen year lifespan (with Ginger being only 3 years old), so we have a window of a few years to decide about this.

Don't know if castration is quite safe on the 70s ans since, cat eventually you get kittens.

...is it bad that for a Star Wars Visions-esque liveaction episode, we have a Jedi trying to rebuild the order and Kurosawa directs it? Because I just found this - - and I want it to be made real.

[EDIT: Also just found out Mark Hamill went to his final years in high school in Japan and knew a bit of conversational Japanese - - so there's some potential there in having that Jedi be Luke. This also begs the question, did Bruce and Mifune help bring Mark back up to snuff while they were on set together?]
