have walked away from the path of the Jedi like Cal
Point of order, as someone who has played both games
he hasn't. He found a planet inaccessible to the Empire, the mythical planet Tanalorr, and is trying to use the Hidden Path to rebuild the Order there (at least a version of it), his first disciple being Bode Akuna's daughter.
But I will agree it's kind of vague as to what path he's following until
after the third and final game gets released.
From here instead of Luke fucking around for 8 years and then founding the Yavin Academy with Jedi kids and his friends from the Rebel Alliance, we can have post-Endor see Luke begin a great journey across the galaxy to connect with the survivors, learn of what lead to the Order's downfall, and then create a New Jedi Order that has learned from the old.
Yes, I absolutely agree, this is a great idea.
I'm all for Ahsoka Tano still bein alive, and Kal Skirata and his Mandalorian Force Users could make for an interesting arc or movie down the line, but I want to make sure of one thing; I don't want Ezra Bridger to make any appearance in this universe. I don't know what possessed anyone to make him a Jedi, but if we're supposed to add anything from Rebels then I would rather it be Kanan. His story is the more interesting one in my opinion.
I mean, this is partly why I'm trying to use Dave Alistair as a method of preintroducing some of Legends and Disney (a limited amount) into the EU (by the way, I'm giving
full permission for people to also use the character and apocrypha in their own works), which is why I have Darman Skirata, (and his son) make an appearance.
As for
Rebels, I think that while I would love to see Kanan, we also need to see him with at
least Sabine, who I honestly think proves to be the better and more interesting pupil for him to have, especially as we rarely see any Force user regularly train (and essentially raise) a non Force-sensitive, and provides an additional bridge of reconciliation between the Jedi and Mandalorians [the others being obviously Obi-Wan, Grogu and (
hopefully) Luke].
I mean I'm not going to be against it but I want you all to remember that George is still calling the shots, and he may decide to do some different things now that he has been able to you know… survive a new hope intact without having to be stressed to hell and back.
I understand, it's why the
Alistairian Apocrypha series is mostly the parts of Dave's musings that [I think] George is the most interested in.
By the way, what does George think of the amount of lore Dave routinely pump out? They been making competitions about it, or do they literally spitball at each other until the wee hours of the night once they really get going?
Mostly asking to see how much I need to pull back, seeing as I'm pretty close to having a few story beats about Dave getting burnt out for a bit.
...are you asking to see Luke's clone be made, however briefly, EU canon?
I blame BioWare deciding that no… they couldn't continue kotor, and instead of being true to source material, the ducked and found out that no… something's are better left unsaid.
...what did George think of Dave's HK?
So question on the EU: Constant reuse of the Imps as villians or innovate pretty quickly?
I think that we should absolutely avoid the Fel Empire, because there is no world where I see Leia's daughter marrying into that kinda of nonsense as canon to anything; Ben being interested in Vestara Khai, part of the Sith Remnant, on the other hand...I can see that, considering his dad.
But in all honesty, I want to see what George's vision of the Crimson Dawn as the criminal underbelly slowly devolving into outright terrorism under the control of Maul would be, failing either the Yuzhong Vong and/or a USSR-expy.
So, Give Me Innovation or Give Me Death!
Or we can use Operation Cinder to show how mad papa Palps is.
Yes.
