You looked at the growing pile of paperwork and realized something. It was a lot of work trying to get things set up behind the Camera then it was to do things in front of it. Sure you had written some screenplays and had been behind the scenes.
But never this kind of thing. Never this kind of paperwork.
Thankfully, you had skimmed through most of the important bits, making sure that George didn't screw you over. Not that he would ever try such a thing, but there was something that you learned about Hollywood. Always be prepared to be backstabbed or thrown under the bus.
The Lawyer George hired wasn't making anything else easier in the matter, cause you were sure that he was a temp trying to become a retainer. He didn't even really say his name, only calling himself "Mr. Lucas' Chief attorney at the moment". "I need your signature here, here, and here, and then this part of the process is done." He said assuredly as he kept moving stacks of paper around. "Then we can move onto the final bits of ownership and legal…" He then snapped his fingers. "Are you paying attention?"
"Not exactly, we've been doing this for three hours, just writing down signatures." You replied.
But all it did was make things strained and strange.
But hey, now you were part of something new. And exciting.
