Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

So one thing that I thought about recently is about the Marvel Amerimanga Eclipse Line, and I thought about at least some rules. Not sure if I should make it an omake but well, the main thing that I thought about is this:

Eclipse Line would release chapters in a similar fashion to Japanese manga magazines like WSJ and what not, but with the exception that a chapter would be released every two weeks instead of every week, giving the writers more time to rest, think and plan their story and polish their art if need be.
The release would also be in that fashion in order to keep audience engaged in the story, as monthly release does not usually do that, while putting a bit less pressure on the authors.

What do you guys think? Can it work like that?

You know guys, the movie Purple Rain (starring Prince) should be at the pre-production stages at the moment. Now, I'm not saying that we should try and go for it, but neither am I saying that we shouldn't. I'm curious about your thoughts here, should we try and get it so that we can produce it, or just leave it as it is?

List of pitches I wanna do after I move into college:

- For All Mankind or some other popular Alt-History property.
- Psychosis
- Blood in the Sand (original project)
- Earth Abides

Not sure which one I should do, though

- For All Mankind or some other popular Alt-History property.
Well, we are now going into Phase II of the Space Race, so perhaps something like one of the Turtledove Books might fit better. Personally, I've always like the "Balance" series or his "Darkness" series.
Love it, would definitely watch it.
- Blood in the Sand (original project)
Sounds interesting.
Reminds me of "A Canticle for Liebowitz". I think I'll see if we can adapt the latter since it should be done by now.

Mary: I'm sorry I'm a genius, billionaire, actress and inventor what are you?
Sheldon: A theoretical physicist and someone with.... Academic integrity. I achieved what I have without having Bruce O'Brian as a father.

Mary red faced and ready to show why she is Bruce's daughter.

Sheldon: Now, let credit be given where it is due, his work is amazing. I would never disparage his work for the comic, manga, animation, and film industry... But even you have to admit that you had quite the leg up.

Leonard: Sheldon, if you keep talking I'm pretty sure she is going to rip your head off and mount it over her fireplace.

Penny: No no, let him. I'm pretty sure that having your head mounted over her mantle is an honor or something.

Leonard raises a finger to argue and slowly closes his mouth thinking on that.

Leonard: I really wish I could argue with that but... Yeah, pretty much.

Edit: If you read this in their voices with the laugh track then I have done my job

You know, I have to wonder if The Big Bang Theory would even exist here. We kinda jump started the normalization and acceptance of pop culture, fandoms and nerds 30 years early so come the 2000s the idea of "Scientists who are also super nerds that like sci-fi and fantasy" would be a pretty mediocre concept and a lot of the plots focusing on the insular nature of nerds and the novelty of geeks would just seem over exaggerated and cringe.

If it did form though, I imagine that Lucasfilms media would be heavily present as part of jokes, references and some plotlines here and there. There was also some talk about 500 pages back on if Carrie makes her cameo then Bruce would also show up in a bit.

Young Sheldon is kind of interesting because depending on how well known Mary is to the public, there would probably be tons of comparisons within the show on Sheldon's situation of a young genius to Mary. Maybe Sheldon meets Mary in an episode or Mary (Cooper) or George meet Bruce at a convention and ask for advice on Sheldon. If nothing else, the series is a good way to show how we're doing everything right on how to raise a genius with Mary versus Sheldon where his family had good intentions but character flaws and a bad personality on Sheldon's part lead to the mess he was in the Big Bang Theory.

Sheldon Cooper:....Eh she's just a space engineer.

While everyone looks at him like he's crazy.

What's funny is that Episode 6 of Young Sheldon has Sheldon working on VTVL technology for rockets and trying to prove to NASA that it's a working concept, but NASA never takes him seriously because he's a kid and when George takes Sheldon to NASA and sticks up for his son, they prove it's working theory but not feasible at the time. Here, NASA was all onboard with Mary's Seadragon and wanted her to go to Space Camp, so maybe an adult Sheldon would be a bit jealous and frustrated with Mary that she got all these opportunities and was taken seriously while he wasn't.

Raj: You know, I think your jealous.

Sheldon: Say what?

Raj: No, think about it. Mary O'Brian has wealth, status, the godlike awe of the entire scientific community

Sheldon: Godlike might be stretching it a bit.

Leonard: No, godlike awe sums it up pretty well.

Raj: Anyway she has everything you could want.

Sheldon:.... Well I could do without the fan clubs.

Howard: So you're saying you WOULDN'T like small armies of followers who hang into your every word as if it was gospel?

Sheldon:.... I stand corrected but that doesn't change my point now does it?

Oof Sheldon might actually have more jealousy on Mary because she got to have a father that stayed on the living world longer then his

Good God, they put that kind of effort for you: (Turn 102, December 1982)
Good God, they put that kind of effort for you: (Turn 102, December 1982)

You looked at many of the shows that were being pitched to you and you frowned. "You're serious?"

Turns out everyone wants to see you on TV.

What do you choose?:

[]Miami Vice (Crocket): Michael Mann wants to see you in the starring role of the TV show. Though he knows it's hard for you, and has no plans to ask again, he thinks you are the right sense of rough, ready and charming, and he says "Brutality" that he needs for the role of as he calls it "A Supercap" You can't say that he's wrong. He's also hoping that you can help him get some of the supercars for the set. And get the FCC to back off.

[]Magnum PI (A Villian): So it seems that folks at CBS, or more likely, Lucille, wants to give you one last parting gift before she retires to a new adventure. Being a special episode guest star on Magnum PI, where you play a former Vietnam soldier, turned Drug Lord in Hawaii, trying to wage his own personal war on the Vietnam refugees that, in his mind "Gave up on their fight for liberty" and that of the communist Vietnam. An interesting character to be sure, but one that could turn cartoony is played by a lesser actor. Perhaps that is why you were chosen.

[]The A-Team (A Villian): So the folks at NBC want you to be a sort of foil to Face in one of the episodes, a charismatic womanizer who, unlike Face, has no lines he will not cross, and is a vicious monster.. Do you think it would be a nice challenge, seeing as he will get killed at the end of the episode? Absolutely. Do you think it will make you feel… icky? Yes it will, but that is the challenge of doing roles.

[] None of these seem interesting (you don't act on any of these ideas)
------------------------------------------------------------
You have 12 Actions

[X]Magnum PI (A Villian): So it seems that folks at CBS, or more likely, Lucille, wants to give you one last parting gift before she retires to a new adventure. Miami Vice option is just not viable with our schedule, I don't think, and as much as the A-Team option interests me more, since Lucille is leaving CBS, I kinda want to give this to her. It helps that it does actually sound kinda interesting.

Well, let's see...

I think taking The House of Ideas is a must, and the option to do a final job for Lucille will be the most satisfying one in my opinion. We do have a good relationship with her, and I'd rather than we alloow her to leave on a high note. Aside from that, watching the Dark Crystal, the plan, and of course the elephant in the room, MIchael's renegotiation.

Look guys, I like him, I really do, and that's coming from one who, as shown before, did not trust him one bit. However, I'm leery at giving him more of our company. At the moment he holds as much as Marcia does, so while I'm willing to give him more money, I'm not when it comes to giving more shares.

If this is a deal breaker for him, I think we might want to start looking at different options.

Aside from that, I?d like to try and speak with Kenneth Johnson in order to get the right to produce and distribute V, or perhaps finally getting to the Fly before Fox can.

I was actually just thinking of raising the idea of brainstorming a potential replacement CEO for Eisner a couple days ago. Funny how things work out sometimes.

Yeah we have the second Conan movie coming out soon and Bruce was wondering last turn if he didn't spend enough time with his kids so it doesn't really make sense to go for a long term role right now.

Raj: Also isn't she the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia?

Sheldon: .... You don't need to rub it in.

Howard: Face it Sheldon, in a world full of science nerds Mary O'Brien reigns as queen.

Raj: Are you saying that because she is functionally science and science fiction royalty or because you have a shrine to her in your closet?

Howard: That is neither here nor there. Besides you have one too.

Raj: Yes but mine doesn't have myself badly photoshopped into them. It's much more reasonable and tasteful with candles and a signed autograph.

Penny: .... Am I missing something or isnt the idea they have shrines to her creepy?

Leonard: Oh it's completely creepy but it's more common than you think.

Sheldon: Well I for one am against this deification of her. Is she not human? Does she not bleed like any other?

Leonard: I mean, given her dad and her legions of fans I very much doubt anyone could get close enough to check without getting their butts kicked.

Raj: Yeah, it's one thing to admire from a distance but there is no way I am picking a fight with batman.

Howard: Really? Even at his age?

Raj: Well what if he comes out with a mech suit? Can you honestly not look to his daughter and tell me there is no chance she built one for him just so he can continue to go on and kick butts?

Leonard: No, Raj has a good point. And besides even without a hypothetical mech suit I'm pretty sure he could still beat us all at once.

Howard: A kindergarten class could beat us all at once if they get prep time.

Sheldon: Speak for yourself. I would have you all fight first so that when they will be too tired to fight me afterwards.

Leonard: Gee, thanks Sheldon.

Sheldon: Don't mention it. I know it would be an honor to protect me from a horde of disease filled juveniles.

Edit: And now for an absolutely different thing that came to mind involving senile Bruce

Every day senile Bruce would go out and buy a bunch of flowers and ask Carrie to go on a date with him because she was the most beautiful woman he had ever met.

Old Carrie would say yes every time and Bruce would fall for her all over again.

Even with his memories fading Bruce O'Brian would fall for Carrie again and again without fail.

A sad but sweet idea that hit me

If Mike doesn't just want more money how do people feel about making a bio pic about him somewhere down the line. I think having the creators behind airplane make it as a parody would be a fun film to make. Especially if he is still shown to be competent

Do you guys think we can invest some money into the war on drugs? I know we influenced the republican party to be more interested in rehabilitation, but we ourselfs have done nothing to follows that up

Or we could investment into the T (Training) of FEAST, because i just generally feel like the charity work we did last time didnt have any significant impact, despite us rolling pretty good and investing lots of money

Also, we should really start "investing" into that massive oil source that we own, because currently it's just sitting there and wasting away
