I mean, yeah. I just can't stand Mr. Satan as a character and don't want to deal with him or anything to do with him. I'll acknowledge that he must be a legitimately superb fighter for all his lack of facility with ki, and that frustrates me even more because there's so much wasted potential in that concept as it's played in canon. As is, he's such a boastful, cowardly blowhard that I can't give him any respect at all despite the fact that he's damn well earned it, and that is infuriating.

In summation, you're right and it could work, and if somebody throws together something plausible I'll run with it. But I really don't care to do it myself because as a writer, Mark "Hercule" Satan mortally offends me and I know better than to go anywhere near him for fear of what salty, flame-y hell I'll produce in response.

Think of it as Videl Style.

I just had a devious thought.

If we beg our Seer sensei to learn the multi-form technique, may that lead to accelerated/boni to seer training? (not actually in the plan outline, as I failed to balance the actions, but still something to consider. Our seer abilities my be the key to breaking the setting over Kakara's super-powered knee after all)
I doubt it would let us get multiple visions, but learning to split at crucial points in our mental debates may lead to more powerful probability guessing. Of course, this may lead to a risk of improper magnification of personal biases,

In addition, as we have no magic talent I would propose a sort of magic counter style, going off of our Ki talent and our animosity to a magic effect, we may be able to create a ki based anti-magic (somehow) counter style, even if only a form of active resistance.

As such i would propose we focus a style focused turn as such

[]Attend School (Mandatory, choose one of the following): Time-consuming, tiring, and the part that you're most likely to be discovered doing. Unfortunately, you really have no choice. Current grades: trending A-. Effect: Attend school.

-[ ] Slack (1 action): You have better things to do! Slack off on schoolwork to focus on other pursuits. Effect: Possible grade loss. You're smart and this is primary school, you you have a decent chance of not dropping a grade.

[ ] Strange Peg For a Strange Hole (1 action): The Misfits are, oddly enough, the place you fit into the most. So you'll make sure to put in the time to really fit in with them. Friends are nice, and they demand the extra effort. Effect: Go above and beyond the effort needed to merely maintain your new friendships, and try to strengthen your new bonds. You will almost certainly succeed.

[ ] Improve Masque Affinity (1 action): The human world of Garenhuld offers many intriguing possibilities, but when you're Masqued, you're well aware that you're always just a little bit...off. You've never made the rookie mistake of trying to grab a chair with your tail, but it's been close. If you wish to involve yourself deeper in the human world, you'll need to improve your comfort in your Masque first. Effect: Grind your Masque Affinity, reducing your "tells" in human form and unlocking more involved options. Success in this is guaranteed with any amount of time investment; the only thing in question is how much you'll improve by.

[] Training (Mandatory, 1 action): You have mastered the transformation, and now all that's left is to finally reach your limits.
-[] Train Base Strength: 375 million units...it was just last year that that felt like an unreachable pinnacle of strength. Now you look ready to hit it by the end of the year. Effect: Raise your base form's strength by conventional training. WILL COMPLETE THIS YEAR.

-[ ] Train Ki Manipulation (2 actions): You already have something of a gift in this, although again Jaffur proved more skilled in the combat applications. Maybe you could close that gap. Effect: Train your skill in ki manipulation, and thereby your facility in its involved talents. You are enough of a prodigy that you would suffer no maluses to improvement here.

-[ ] Command Training (1 action): You will be expected to lead your Clan if war comes. You may as well be good at it. Effect: Learn the art of battlefield command. Gain "Leadership" skill and set your starting skill level. Your mindset won't impact you as badly here.

-[ ] Train Oozaru (1 action): You failed to figure this out last year, despite the very good odds in your favor. Despite that, you are determined to continue, your odd hunch growing only stronger. And with lessons learned, you know you'll succeed this time. Effect: As the QM increasingly loses patience with the dice, automatically succeed in gaining control over the Oozaru form and gain a variable amount of strength in it.

[ ] Style Training: The mark of a true warrior is one who unifies their various skills and abilities into a cohesive whole. You're not really suited to fighting, but this could help you.
-[ ] Study Jaffur's Form (1 action): You know the first step here, but more will take time. Effect: Spend more time trying to figure out further requirements for Jaffur's form. With your brain and having made a breakthrough, you know progress to be a near-certainty.
-[ ] Create Style (2 actions): Your path is your own. You will build a style for yourself. Effect: Invest immense time and energy into building a form from the ground up. It won't be easy, and given your mindset you may fail, but the rewards are potentially enormous. Work closely with your QM to determine the mechanics.

[ ] The Mysteries: You are a Seer, an heir to the legacy of Bardock. This alone has radically changed your path in life. Yet despite this, you cannot ignore the impact of Sorcery on your life.
-[ ] Train With Sensei (1 action): Nothing for it but time. Effect: Grind your talent in Seer abilities. Sensei tells you that this will be gruelingly hard, and take years to master no matter how much of a prodigy you are.

Cuz, creating the Y warriors tickles my funny bone.

We are The (Gohan-ic) Scion (no more balance), so we may as well show them the way. And group command is a good thing to know even as a human guise.

Worst case possible, and Sealing becomes an accepted norm, we may b able to create a tradition of fully hover/vector independent fighter craft vidya games to help sealed masques adjust to saiyan flying combat.

Main risk is that we may slip in our masque grades, but being part of the misfit group, and working on that aspect may gain us some bonuses from cramming with any particularly nerdy members of the group.
If that fails, we may be able to reclaim grades by the time we reach high school (if that is still a thing) and us our social group to get into the school of our choice, regardless of our actual scholastic ability.
If we present it as a family dojo/style we may be able to channel the 'Japan' influence of DBZ etc., though that is really iffy given the pretty highish fantasy-scify setting of the Dragon ball series. (Beast-folk, shapeshifters, magic, gods and aliens. )

I really want to talk to the Senzu clan, and find them, but our attempts at diplomacy may be influenced by our past attempts at such and as a result be a pretty clear indication of our actual age and maturity (it works with grandma, but when a relative stranger talks smack, we practically throw a tantrum)

[] Plan Bommelom

..Yeah, I'm horrible at naming plans.

[]Attend School (Mandatory, choose one of the following): Time-consuming, tiring, and the part that you're most likely to be discovered doing. Unfortunately, you really have no choice. Current grades: trending A-. Effect: Attend school.

[] A Warrior's Path: being a warrior is about more than brute strength. Master the art of combat to gain your people's respect. Your mindset will hold you back in all aspects, though.
-[] Train Multi-Form (1 action, may be taken multiple times): As you train your skill in an overall field, your skill at individual techniques will rise to match it, but maybe you can focus on something in particular. Effect: Choose a specific Skill you wish to train or learn. Crowd fighting? Fighting in a team? Specific ki projection techniques like the Kikoho? Odder stuff, like the multiform? (ask your GM for an extended list of techniques if you're not sure) This would give a higher chance of success than simply training the whole related field.
--[] If it won't hamper your chances to learn this technique, try to learn it in secret (perhaps at Sensei's place?)
-[] Train Oozaru (1 action): You failed to figure this out last year, despite the very good odds in your favor. Despite that, you are determined to continue, your odd hunch growing only stronger. And with lessons learned, you know you'll succeed this time. -[] Beg Sensei To Teach You How to enter people's dreams and, if possible, talk to them (1 action): Waiting is boring. Effect: Make a hard Communication check to convince Sensei to deviate from his plan and then train the skill selected. I'll tell you if it's not a thing.
--[] If possible, do this while or after sounding sensei out. If Sensei responds positively to you sounding him out, explain you want to learn this so Jaffur will at least have someone to talk to while trapped in his own mind.

[] The Pulse of Life: You are a part of this society, and it's the people who make it tick.
-[] A Scion's Duties II (1 action): You've begun the first of your training and learned the basics of how your society works. Now it's time to really delve into it. Effect: Learn the art of diplomacy and Clan management at the feet of your father, improving your Communication Skill and learning about the practical side of managing hundreds upon thousands of Saiyans who all want a fight.
-[] Garenhuld II (1 action): Society is buzzing with news of the news of the Cult demanding Lady Dandeer's presence at the Training Hall over the summer as part of a conference to address the status of the Cult in the modern world. You definitely haven't been invited, and your Dad tells you that High Priest Celeran already had the Hall booked for the day, so you doubt your presence is welcome. But this could be important. Effect: Sneak through all of the security surrounding the Training Hall on the night of the Council, and try to listen in on what's going on.
--[] If you get good enough with the Multi-Form technique, people don't know you know said technique and it won't hamper anything but your power level, try to use Multi-Form to place a clone at home/where you're supposed to be/somewhere public while you infiltrate the council in order to provide an alibi.

[] Breaking the Seal: You know some of the details of Jaffur's Seal, and have an ally in your Grandma Apra. What else is there to do?
-[] Sound Out Sensei (1 action): Your Sensei is a Seer, like you, and seems sensible. You think he should understand why you're working to reverse this. But...depending on how aware he's being of the future, even deciding to talk to him will tip him off to your intentions. Effect: Take a risk. Chance your Sensei blowing your newborn conspiracy wide open, and try to sound out his opinion. If possible, bring him in on the plot.
--[] If possible, do this before trying to contact House Senzu.
-[] Contact House Senzu (1 action): House Senzu has withdrawn from society at large with all members, including their Sorcerer, and their Senzu Beans in tow, but when last you met you were allies. Perhaps if you find them...somehow...you can be again. Effect: Search for House Senzu, and if possible bring them in on the plot.
--[] If you manage to convince Sensei to help, ask him to help you find them.
--[] If you've learned to enter people's dreams and talk to them, try to do so before contacting them in any order way so that you won't have to risk you and the Senzus being discovered meeting in person.
--[] If have to meet them in person and you you get good enough with the Multi-Form technique, people don't know you know said technique and it won't hamper anything but your power level, try to use Multi-Form to place a clone at home/where you're supposed/somewhere public to be while you go off to meet the Senzus.

[] Personal: Sometimes, you just want to do things on your own time.
-[] Ki (1 action, may be taken multiple times): Despite your disinterest in fighting, you really do like using your Ki, and you're good at it! Effect: In your spare time, improve Ki Talents (1 per action).
--[] Ki Control

And now, explanation for my votes.

Name:
..Again, I suck at naming plans, and naming it after myself sounds marginally better than naming it "Plan I can't come up with a name".

The Masquerade:

Slacking off and then regaining our grades is currently more efficient than maintaining them (this might chance once we're in middle or high school, of course). When we slack off, there's still a fairly high chance that we won't lose grades, while we're almost guaranteed to raise our grades if we try to do so. Therefore, slacking off one year and then raising our grades the next year is statistically better than maintaining them both years.

Spending time with the Misfits has proven beneficial for Kakara's mental health, but, more importantly, it's sorta adorable and I want Kakara to have close friends.

A Warrior's Path:

If Multi-Form can give us additional yearly actions, getting it as early as possible sounds good. If we can also use it to cover for ourselves when we do something we don't want people to know we're doing, that's even better. Of course, I doubt we can keep our knowledge of the technique safe while using it to gain more actions, but we can at least keep it secret this year.

As for Oozaru training, I still don't think it'll prove particularly beneficial (though others do), but it's guaranteed to succeed, which means there's no chance of our combat skills atrophying even if we fail to learn Multi-Form.

The Mysteries:

For general Seer training, well, we're a Seer, we should learn how to make use of that fact.

As for why I want to learn how to communicate with people in dreams, Jaffur's currently trapped in his own/Jaron's mind with no one to talk to, and I don't think that's particularly healthy for him.

The Pulse of Life:

The Communication skills is one of the most important skills in this system (more important than any individual combat skill, at least), so anything that improves it is good.

As for why I want to infiltrate the Ancestral Council, it looks like the Ancestor Cult is beginning to make a move and I really want to find out what they're doing, as I don't particularly trust religions who like to burn heretics.

Breaking the Seal:

Sensei's likely going to find out what we're up to eventually, and he'll be extremely useful for finding the Senzus. As for the Senzus, the earlier we ask them to find out a way to unseal Jaffur without killing Jaron, the sooner they'll figure something out.

Personal:

Improving our Ki Control is required for figuring out the secret to Jaffur's overpowered style, which I'd really like to do eventually, and Ki Control also sounds like something that makes it easier for us to learn and improve Ki Techniques.

@PoptartProdigy, is there a chance that Satan Style is merely...misunderstood like the Yamcha Style was? I mean, Mr. Satan did legitimately win the World Martial Arts Tournament once and was technically speaking the world's strongest non-ki using martial artist that we know of. In Xenoverse, his Dynamite Kick does completely crap damage, except when you fully charge it up (which takes too long to be of much use most of the time) in which case it does a surprisingly high amount of damage. (Perhaps that's symbolic of the style as a whole?) Maybe the style just needs to be refined and updated to reflect modern times?
The Satan Style would likely just be a worse version of the Turtle Style, with less expertise in melee combat (especially Team Fighting) and no ki abilities at all.

Why does everyone keep trying to sound out Sensei? He'd be useful if he joined us, for sure, but that doesn't mean we should waste an action on what all the evidence is pointing towards saying will be a failure. We know he doesn't like getting involved in Clan business both from his public statements and from our own interactions with him.

He usually doesn't get involved in Clan Politics, yes, but I think that has more to do with not caring to than deliberately distancing himself. Remember, he threatened to kill our parents if they didn't make us a Scion, so if his Seer senses/intution tells him that Jaffur is ImportantTM and/or unsealing him is a good idea, I think he'd certainly be willing to help us.

Ki manipulation because it's the basis of all our best bullshit. Multiform for more actions in the future, and Oozaru to make sure our skills don't atrophy (and because I still hope for SSJ4 to be a thing). [7/12]

[] The Mysteries: You are a Seer, an heir to the legacy of Bardock. This alone has radically changed your path in life. Yet despite this, you cannot ignore the impact of Sorcery on your life.

Honestly, grinding Seer might as well be mandatory. And I want that Ki drain thing he did, however that is the first thing on the choping block if we need to cut an action to do something else. [9/12]

[] The Pulse of Life: You are a part of this society, and it's the people who make it tick.
-[] Family First (1 action): Your relationship with your Father has stopped actively collapsing, but the two of you are still distant from each other. You want to fix that, even though it'll never again be what it once was. Effect: Repair relationship with Dad.

Effect: Learn the art of diplomacy and Clan management at the feet of your father, improving your Communication Skill and learning about the practical side of managing hundreds upon thousands of Saiyans who all want a fight.

I want to fix our relationship with dad. A Scion's Duties is mostly for grinding communication, so I'd probably be willing to ditch it for something else if enough people wanted to. [11/12]

Honestly, we probably should have tried this last year, and it's especially important now that we know Jaron is real. This is also the "fuck you Lady Dandeer" option that gives us action #12.

What do people think?

I honestly don't think that bringing our Seeing teacher in on our plot is a good idea. Just my gut feeling, I think he'll have negative interest.

Scions are choosen by Seers, though, and given that the guy was extremely interested in making sure we got to be the Scion, he might also be interested in making sure Jaffur actually gets to do something as opposed to stay trapped in his own mind.

Say, how high is grandma in the ancestor cult? Do you think she would have any contacts within the meeting?

@Bommelom Your plan is going to bite us in the ass. Not only do you have us asking sensei for a technique (which is hard communications check and liable to result in nothing), you have us trying to infiltrate the Gerenhuld council, and we aren't fixing the relationship with Berra.

Infiltrating the Gerenhuld council is a huge deal, and being caught is far more problems then it is worth. If we really want to know what is going on there, we go talk to cultist grandma. We don't barge into the Space-Monkey-Cultist Vatican like we own the place.

Assuming the relationship with Berra doesn't deteriorate further risks us ending up back at square one.

Asking Sensei for more just risks his ire when we should be trying to be friendly. He clearly has something of a plan, and trying to rush the guy who sees the future sounds like wasted effort. Especially when the roll is a hard communications check and he isn't yet close to us.

I like your plan. If it has sufficient interest, I'll vote for it instead of my own. Oozaru instead of bringing in sensei was my fallback. I do wonder how we'll be punished for slacking off in school, because you know it isn't going to be that easy.

Though I feel the need to ask why you are trying to rush sensei's training. The option seems so childish to me, and is more likely to fail than succeed. It's something that we're going to learn in time anyways, so why not go for other, easier alternatives? Might as well use that action to double down on multiform (it is a combat technique and thus gets hit with maluses), improve Masque affinity so we don't have a sudden interrupt, sound him out, or invest more in ki techniques.

Firstly, if they're going to keep some of the decisions of the Council secret from the uninitiated, I doubt Apra's going to tell us religious secrets, especially if she thinks we might disagree with whatever they agree on.

Secondly, they can't actually catch us. Assuming we disguise ourselves and mask our face, we can Instant Transmission away if we're discovered and all they'll know is that someone/some kid with Instant Transmission spied on them with no way to find the culprit. If we manage to learn Multi-Form and use it to give ourselves an alibi, they'll be even more screwed.

Assuming the relationship with Berra doesn't deteriorate further risks us ending up back at square one.
The option to improve our relationship with Berra literally said the relationship isn't deteriorating anymore, which was one of the benefits we got from doing "A Scion's Duties".

Asking Sensei for more just risks his ire when we should be trying to be friendly. He clearly has something of a plan, and trying to rush the guy who sees the future sounds like wasted effort. Especially when the roll is a hard communications check and he isn't yet close to us.
We have a pretty good reason for wanting to learn it, though? I mean, assuming he's sympathetic when we sound him out, I think the communications check is going to be a lot easier than if we asked how to see the future or how to do the ki blocking trick.

This would be a good point if not for the fact that we are 9. I mean, I assume the technique propagated enough that there are children that can do it but even then, that level of skill at our age is kind of noteworthy.

On another note, if anyone feels like training our mask then I suggest hitting the monkey bars or climbing trees. It sounds like something a saiyan kid would use their tail for.

It's not like they can determine our skill with the Instant Transmission if they only see us using it once, though.

There would be a limited number of children who knew the technique though. It would not be a insurmountable challenge to find out WHO infiltrated, even if they cannot catch us.
