[X] Plan Understanding, Compassion, and Support
-[X] Hug your brother damnit
-[X] Respond to his concerns supportively
--[X] Admit that it isn't fair, and that we hadn't seen the issue before, but that we aren't sure how to fix it - though we're open to suggestions.
---[X] Be sympathetic, apologetic for not seeing it, and supportive.
I don't like this part of the plan. We have ideas on how to fix it, like talking to our parents about it or spending time with him to find his talents/training him if he has none.

If Maya is human, bro could totally spend time playing superhero. That would make him feel special. It's an important position, and he can be beloved by the world that way. Of course, that's onyl part of the issue, we still need dad to spend more time with him.

...hmmn, well, after we break the seal, we can teach dad multiform?

It's us letting him have what he wants for once. We've got ideas, sure, but we can hammer those out later, right now we're reinforcing/building the relationship, and that means giving him a measure of power over what we do.

Just because we have "ideas" doesn't mean we're sure how to fix it.

But beyond that, and to add to what @Ridiculously Average Guy said, from what I'm reading one of Mato's biggest needs here is to be heard. I don't think us saying "well here's your problem and here's a surefire way to fix it" is going to help as much as us saying "well, okay, so I think I hear and understand what you're saying you're feeling and what you think the issue is, what are some things you'd like to see happen to help?". When someone is crying out to be heard, they don't necessarily want someone to tell them how to fix everything. So there's no harm in saying "we're not sure yet what to do, so let's talk about it".

Hmmm.

[jk] Plan SV
-[jk] Hug Mato.
--[jk] Then punch him in the face till he cries.

Hmmm. Something about this seems an ill fit for the situation. Not sure what.

Simple you forgot you can't befriend people without some gaint laser attack so you need to add

[jk] Kamehameha mato in the face

Well, that was a ride. This quest is awesome, although I'm leery of having the Ambitious trait, as one of the things that lead to Jaffur's Sealing was that Dad and Dandeer believing they were right and not listening to us. I also liked having a kind character who wasn't going for power like most SV quest PCs, but was only acting to right an injustice. Can we act to loose traits, maybe? Also,

If 'ambitious' meant the same thing as 'stupid', they would not be separate words. It's a trait that's often been attached to bad people, but it's not an inherently bad trait, not any more than Oddball or Driven or Socialiser.

There's a reason I said leery instead of opposed. I know it's not inherently bad, but it still means Kakara has desires to stand above others and be more, which is a trait I don't have much investment in. It's far from a deal breaker for this quest, but again, I'd prefer to not have it because I see it so often if SV quests.

We already covered this in thread and asked Poptart about it. In this case, ambitious does not mean power hungry or that we desire to stand about others. It means that we have big dreams and we desire power as a mean to achieve them.

The trait could evolve to something bad but that is because all traits can. Like how oddball could evolve into something that makes people think we are insane or something like lateral thinker and socializer into something like manipulator or diplomancer.

Seriously, if you are going to judge whether she is a good person or not, do it for her actions at least.
