I prefer the response which explains more (but not everything) and gives her a gentle push towards opening up to our Dad again, since she broached the subject again.
Out of curiosity, @PoptartProdigy, do we know how our Dad's Masque Affinity is? How much of his power can he access while Masqued? It wouldn't look good to Maya if we talk up our Dad and then it turns out he can only use <1% of his power (though 1% would still be 3.75 million, absolutely dwarfing Maya still).

Y'know, I knew I'd forgotten some of his non-combat skills. Berra sits squarely at "Talented" for Masque Affinity, allowing 80% of his full power and taking 10 seconds to transform in or out.
If we're going to do a write-in, I'd be far more comfortable with something along the lines of:

How do you think Mato is going to react when he finds out that his Scion big sister has been spending a whole year secretly training a human (as far as he knows) on an exponential growth curve rapidly headed towards surpassing the legal limit he's still throwing tantrums about?

In fairness, Mato is likely going to be aware that she's nowhere near the 15 million legal limit (in fact, well below him in PL!). She's also unlikely to eclipse that limit (much) in the short-term future.
Plus, he'll come around when we set them up on a date!

Assuming exponential growth and no cap, which he will if he doesn't think she's a Saiyan, she's set to hit 553 million inside a year from now.
Vegetan or not, she doesn't deserve that.

Elated that big sis is in trouble and she proved that she doesn't deserve to be Scion then frustrated when we are not stripped from that title even though that would be a complete overreaction? Pointing out all the time to everyone that we broke the law? Paying attention in case we do so again?

Using the BoD system, everything should have a cap of some kind or another.
I find Tien passing fat but to be a bit of a stretch, but maybe that means a combination of kaioken and tribeam, which are both large force multipliers.
We won't really know where she's sitting until gets to diminishing returns, though, in which case we teach her kaioken if we want her to be a viable high end combatant.
Of course, humans also have a disproportionate number of geniuses pop up. Bulmas family and all their crazy shit and Gero producing androids that make a galactic scale emperor look like a bitch being two canon examples in the same genreal generation, Wheelo being a fairly competent non canon example. Slump being a gag addendum.

No, I meant in base. Remember that Fat Buu in his first appearance (which is very specifically what I'm benchmarking Tien at) laid somewhere between SSJ2 and SSJ3 levels of power. Tien only had to beat that, and he had about a century to get that far.

Wrong! The real enemy is
Maya from an alternate dimensión that time traveled to the past to kill the saiyans after those of Earth, who without the limitations to their growing numbers or the amount of training they could have, went on a galactic conquest! When faced with an army of super saiyan gods Maya Webley, last champion of the universe, went to the past to destroy them when they were at their weakest and after they ended most galactic threats. Uub learned the truth from Shen Long and Gohan told Mato with telepathy so he led the remants of his family to Garenhuld in order to butterfly away her birth or, if that failed, make her be from the same planet as the saiyans so as to not gain her as an enemy. He made up a story about the enemy looking for them because he didn't want his descendants to end as galactic overlords like in the enemy's original timeline and he didn't feel like destroying Garenhuld for the sins of someone who was not even born yet!
