Are there debating arts?
Are there debating arts?
It is not, because my suspension of disbelief stretches only so far.So therapy no jutsu, and honing ones ability to engage in feats of rhetoric during the rigors of combat, is not a thing we can do?
What about Deceit?
Bluffs in general count as part of applicable combat skills to save myself some effort on the hideously complicated series of calculations my system involves, unless they're apart from combat. What about Deceit?
Edit:
Only for Deceit checks related to combat, obviously.
Soo... no Ranma 1/2 crossover elements? It is not, because my suspension of disbelief stretches only so far.
So Kakara using Deceit to get Berra with the Solar Flare was a result of the system not being completely fine-tuned back then?Bluffs in general count as part of applicable combat skills to save myself some effort on the hideously complicated series of calculations my system involves, unless they're apart from combat.
No, that was because the bluffing occurred out of combat. It wouldn't have been fair to treat it as combat in that case; you'd have lost easily and neither of you were engaged in fighting. So Kakara using Deceit to get Berra with the Solar Flare was a result of the system not being completely fine-tuned back then?
Oh, I'm sure they're popular, but it's not like sparring is forbidden. Thanks to the Training Hall, anybody can train to their absolute utmost without having to trouble the outside world. With healers, they don't even have to worry as much about holding back.I'm actually a little surprised that the Saiyan exiles don't have a pronounced flyting streak. They're a naturally fractious warrior species forcibly capped in their indulgence of it and pressed into suffocating human forms for most of their lives. Epic rap battles seem like they would emerge as a natural outlet for establishing position and resolving conflicts that don't rise to the level of running off to tattle to the largely arbitrary authorities. I would have expected a long and semi-formalized tradition with serious social weight and consequence.

There are pressures to keep you max strength down, yes, but as a martial artist could tell you, a spar isn't strength training. It sounded as if there were some pretty intense social pressures to keep one's power down, and that the house leaders in particular tended to make life hard for anybody other than them who took it seriously in order to maintain their monopoly on force.
Doesn't night time make you sleepy? Wouldn't you want to call it earlier so you don't have to write the update while sleepy?Yeah, if I don't see even a single contrary vote soon, I'll close the vote tonight and update right after.
It's only 19:13 where I am. This isn't late at all.Doesn't night time make you sleepy? Wouldn't you want to call it earlier so you don't have to write the update while sleepy?
Most likely. I'll leave it 30 minutes more -- I'm playing CKII at the moment.
Brillant strategy in most situations but I can't see the point in this case.
