So shego has begun to learn the how of powers, but not the why.
Also damn, our two biggest allies are collating with eachother way more than us.
Well, we haven´t really *actively and openly* collabbed with either of them (or *anyone*, for the matter) on account of being just a little bit occupied with everything else. So it stands to reason that Shego and Xanatos would move on to each other to get things done.
Olympia
[ ] Push SRA Repeal on Senators
DC 110
58+33+36+3=130
Decent Success
Congressmen in Nevada, many newly elected, have come out in favor of Super rights and a general SRA repeal. Previously an SRA stronghold, the flipping of the state is seen as a signal of changing times in the Super community.
Richard Martinez, President of the United States
[ ] Craft the Heroes Act
DC 100
100+41+36+29+7=213
Critical Success!
Bipartisanship is at a shocking high on Capitol Hill as legislators from both parties have united to craft the omnibus HEROES act. If passed, the act would not only restore protections for good-faith vigilantes, but also comprehensively reform Super law to avoid previous pitfalls and establish a clear registry of heroes who choose to act in the common good. The well-written and carefully crafted piece of legislation has succeeded at calming moderates afraid of abuse without angering pro-super proponents.
Hm, so the reformation of the SRA into something actually helpful seems to be moving just fine woithout us butting in just fine...I like that, since we might not be able to do much ourselves right now. Also great that both Democrats and Republicans seem to agree on an issue for once.
That being said, once that act passes we could offer up Hego as our example of "a good Super" to get back in that game.
[ ] Collaborate with DEI on an issue
DC and roll to be voted on next turn phase
Olympia is willing to collaborate with you on a particular issue, but there are only so many things that they're interested in.
-[ ] Improve Recycling Programs
DC 45
A big part of being Greevil is learning to reduce, reuse and recycle. You've already made changes to your personal life by repurposing several of your old Inators, but in order to improve things nationwide you're going to have to give people some guidance on what proper recycling practices are. You've got it! Talking trash cans!
(Rewards: Contributes to overall Greevil image, slightly increases income as processes become more efficient, every third trashcan is given a helpful AI)
-[ ] Study Diecast Robotics
DC 130
Coyote and friends brought back a few scrapped robots from that terrible wasteland over in the Rust Belt. While their electronics are completely unrecoverable (you haven't seen that level of corrosion in electronics since… ever, really) you think you can still get some use out of them. According to the debriefing you read, there were thousands upon thousands of these things, seemingly churned out with little care or effort. While mass-producing a metal shell is certainly not beyond your capability, studying the little things seems to imply that the entire robot came out of the same one-press mold. That kind of efficiency could do wonders to your own supply lines, if you can just figure out how it works!
(Reward: Slight income increase from efficiency improvements, reduced DC of robotics-related actions)
-[ ] Develop a new social media platform
DC 140
ENCOM's 'The Grid' is firmly entrenched in the public consciousness, but Olympia believes there's still some room for a rival to appear.
-[ ] Collaborate on a new OS
DC 130
DoofOS is… not doing well, to say the least, and Olympia wants nothing to do with it. They did display some interest in creating a new OS from scratch, at least. You'd have to do some finagling on your own time to make sure it's reverse compatible with DoofOS, but on the bright side you'll have some much-needed fresh blood working on your computer systems.
-[ ] Lobby to legalize bot fights
DC 120
Bot fighting is the hottest thing on the west coast, despite being so illegal that dozens of people are busted for it every week. Your Olympian contacts are certain that this could be overcome- in time, at least- with a bit of lobbying in the right places. It wouldn't be as flashy as some of the other projects you're dreaming up, but bot fighting is much loved in central California, and having your company behind the movement is sure to garner some good will.
-[ ] Sponsor a cape
DC 75
Olympia is gearing up for a big push against the SRA, and there's no better way to show your support than by jointly sponsoring a cape with their help!
-[ ] Write-In
Will have to justify it in keeping with the company's interests as a telecoms, robotics and heroes corporation. Olympia does not want to make their supply lines reliant on Toons.
...Say,
@Made in Heaven , do Collabs offered to us by someone else count towards our action limit or is it essentially a free action on account of being initiated not by us?
Aside from that detail, so let me see what we got here:
- We can do Recycling programs just fine on our own with a DC that low, so I´d rather not "waste" a Collab on it (if it takes up one of our actions right now, of course - but even then, Collabs are a bit too finicky for something that trivial).
-Us getting help regarding the Die-Cast Robots with their pretty-high DC would be a godsend, especially since those little fellas have possible synergy with the Greevil angle that we seem to be be intent on pushing as an easy remedy for dealing with the fallout of LMs bullshit. So yeah, that´s an option I wouldn´t mind picking.
-Naaah, I´d rather not get into a new kind of "battle", especially one with a DC that high.
- Now that´s a hard one. While we were thinking about creating a new OS from scratch (with backwards compatibility with DoofOS, if possible) to get back on our feet against the MCP and/or King Candy and could really use the support to deal with that high DC, people have raised valid concerns about Olympia sneaking Screenslaver tech past us that way. So I am really torn here.
- Meeh, I dunno why we should be interestend in investing into that field right now, so that offer gets a *naaah* from me until further notice.
- Hm, sponsoring HEGO like that could kill two birds with one stone in that it A) would ride on the support of the biggest voice for repealing the SRA an B) would help an "archetypical Cape" get back on his feet. But on the other hand it might be a low enough DC for us to reliably do it on our own...So, it´s a "maybe" from me.
In the end, my willingness for choosing any given option looks kinda like that:
- Die-Cast Robots
- Cape Sponsoring
- New OS
- New Social Media platform / - Robot fights
- Recycling Program
Cape Suzette
[ ] Increase International Shipping
DC 110
42+42+34+8=126
Decent Success
Cape Suzette has expanded its status as an international entrepot in recent months, the low-level simmer of sky piracy being overcome by favorable shipping lanes and the territory's tax haven status.
[ ] ???
DC 100
31+26+30+5=92
Bare Failure
Something Shere Khan was doing in secret nearly worked.
[ ] Restore US Relations
DC 125
77+33+25+6=141
The awkward cooling in relations with Suzette's administrative government has finally broken. The significant faux pas of Shere Khan 'accidentally' (few believe the claim) offering nuclear fusion plants to rogue states has taken significant effort from both Shere Khan himself and the civilian government to smooth over. This situation is far from behind them, but the Tiger can at least rest easy that there will be no sanctions coming his way for those doing business in the city's tax haven.
So SK managed to salvage some of his more apparent problems while only slightly messing up some "off-the-counter stuff"? Since he is one of the Kings we got the least interactions with - both hostile and benign - and because he is also comparetively non-malicious, I´lljust shrug, say "Good for him" and move onwards.
Xanatos Enterprises
[ ] Collaborate with Drakktech on a moonbase
DC 130
89+38+38+20 (Government Funding)+9=194
Great Success
Xanatos Enterprises and Drakktech have made astonishing progress on their government-sponsored moonbase. While still a far cry from the proposed 'permanent lunar colony', a long-term research base has been established, owing its rapid deployment to recent advances in rocketry. The cost of shipping materials into orbit is falling rapidly, a fact that both companies were quick to capitalize on.
While Shego and David leaving us behind is a bit of a bummer, as I said before that it was to be expected and isn´t that bad in the end. Also, as good as that base is for them, they´ll have to invest a lot of time, ressources and logistics brawn to develope it. Now, if only someone had some way - even if only *conceptionally* right now - to help them out by massively cutting down on all the baggage involved, like say, *giving them a way to really revolutionize their long-distance supply chains*...
???
[ ] Leak DEI Specs
DC 90
85+58+53+20 (Gift-Wrapped)=216
Critical Success!
You stumbled across something very worrying on the internet the other day. Apparently, someone has compiled a list of several DEI projects and leaked the juicy details online! Everything, from the details of Temujin's resurrection to the specs of your Normbots and DoofOS is out there in the public eye… or at least, everything LOVEMUFFIN seems to have touched. So, basically just those three things in terms of what's at all important. They're still secure in their cells- you've checked- but you have no idea how they were able to do this! Even though the DoofOS source code has been leaked, it's just as incomprehensible to the public as it was to your employees. It's less than likely that the public will be able to do anything with it, but on the other hand… it is still out there.
Don´t worry, guys: That´s not as bad as it looks at first glance.
Yes, the schematics of our Normbots getting leaked is annoying, but as someone said, we can just claim that they´re *outdated* versions and our current models are far more advanced than shown on those plans. As for the other two things: Nobody really believes our Khan to be the genuine article - instead, everyone thinks him to be cape with a Khan-shtick and since we are already known to dabble in genetics, we can just ride on that explanation for minimal fuss. And DoofOS is kinda dead in the water as well as utterly incomprehensible for anyone, so the code being leaked is nothing to us.
So yeah, the only thing actually concerning about it is the fact that we don´t know the culprit and therefore can´t slam them for corporate espionage or similar (to say nothing of more clandestine retaliations). But at least it´s probably none of our "friends/allies", since that would needlessly sabotage our good relationships with each other.
Drakktech
[ ] Collaborate with ENCOM on Virtual Reality
DC 120
59+25+55+20+5=164
Great Success
The 'Parvati' Virtual Reality system, the long-awaited result of a collaboration between ENCOM and Drakktech, was released last month to stupendous acclaim. The system boasts an extremely immersive headset that has eliminated the motion sickness problems other startup consoles have displayed, and on top of that, the system is extremely easy and intuitive to code for. In addition to several titles on release, multiple development studios have announced new titles in the coming years. Both companies are expected to make a tremendous profit off of this as well as further entrenching themselves in the tech sector.
So, Shego is collabing with ENCOM now as well? That kinda stinks, since that pushes her into the splash zone of any DEI - ENCOM "warfare" and I´d rather not get our "friends/allies" getting weakened needlessly by them getting caught up in any donnybrooks we have with other Kings.
But anyway, not that concerning atm.
[ ] Attempt to Break Impervium
DC ???
83+20+30+7=140
Expected Failure
Drakktech reported that its attempts to break Impervium were unsuccessful. Famous for the impossibility of just that, the outcome was expected by many and yielded only a bit of data in return for a lot of time wasted. Some suggest that 'upper leadership' pushed through the blunt force option passing over other more productive avenues. But generally not to her face.
...Remind me again who Impervium belongs to, guys? Because I am drawing blanks there.
Anyway, no real opinion on that one right now
[ ] Reverse-engineer superpower drugs
DC 100
30+20+25+20+6=101
Bare Success
Drakktech reported marginal success in reverse engineering the offerings of the Middleton Drug Cartel. While they weren't able to fully understand the mechanism behind the superpower-granting drugs, they were able to produce them in limited quantities and are rumored to be pursuing a government grant.
So, Shego is making some progress in reverse-engineering those drugs and might be approaching Uncle Same about it? The same Uncle Sam that just made a big push in legalising Cape actions, many of which got Superpowers of their own? Methinks, that the Feds might be trying to "co-opt" any Heroics Civil-War-style to get their own super soldiers and lob around that weight on the world stage. Interesting, but also concerning...
???
[ ] ???
DC ???
80+??+??+??+??=???
??? Success
You've noticed some odd theories during your weekly perusal of So Weird. Apparently there was a hailstorm the other day in Middleton with some very unusual precipitation. In addition to the normal hail one could expect, several people reported perfectly round, perfectly clear spheres of ice the size of a fist falling onto the ground. The spheres lasted throughout the storm undisturbed, only to melt immediately after being touched. Even fewer commenters reported finding odd objects inside the hailstones, such as screws, bolts, and living cockroaches.
So Shego seems to have been hit by what *might or might not be* freak weather according to a webpage David got involved with as an Occult-related smokescreen? Weird...Either her and him are not as harmonious allies as we thought until now and they got into a tiff about something or Xanatos got nothing to do with it despite *So Weird* being on his payroll and someone/something else took a swing at Shego.
Really dunno what to think about that one, guys.

Miserable Failure
A few sightings of the mysterious 'Yokai' in San Fransokyo have already been chalked up to more salarymen drunk on sake. The few who believe the urban legend wonder what might have drawn the spirit out into the city.
So nothing *concrete* on Yokais movements? Sucks, but at least our SF intelligence network is still working - for a second I was afraid that they dropped deap outta boredom.

[ ] Develop St. Canard?
DC 100
78+42+26+5=151
Great Success
The ex-prison city of St Canard has undergone significant revitalization over the past few months. Buildings have been rebuilt, streets have been cleaned, and evidence of the city's past is slowly being scrubbed away in an effort to prepare the city for some sort of new development. Exactly what that is, and if any real value can be gotten out of the charred husk across from Duckberg, remains to be seen.
Considering that St. Canard and Duckburgh are neighboring each other, that´s probably Glomgold trying to get somethign outta that eyesore after all.
So nothing really important for us.

Random Event Roll: 56
Famous Michelin Chef and television personality Bolton Gramercy has discreetly contacted you in your capacity as owner of Buenos Natches Inc., requesting to shoot an episode of his popular series 'Restaurant Wars' on location at the last remaining Bueno Nacho in existence. Gramercy is known for his brutal honesty and acerbic attitude in regards to culinary failings, so the employees might find him… trying. But then again… if anyone can turn Bueno Nacho around, it would be him.
Do you want to allow Gramercy to film his episode?
[ ] Yes
Minor opinion penalty for Hego, enormous opinion penalty for Ned
Major DC reduction for renovating Bueno Nacho
[ ] No
You get nothing.
There will be a ten hour moratorium on voting.
Damn...that´s a tough one.
On the one hand, Not!Gordon Ramsey (let´s face it: it´s an expy of that man, with that described personality, name and tv show) would be just the right person to finally get
Bueno Nacho to get its shit together and become more than just a mean-spirited Running Gag. Sure, Ned getting pissy is sucky, but since he isn´t the actual boss here and that actual boss being far more likely to listen to his advice than that bint Amy was in that infamous episode of "Kitchen Nightmares", it´s not toobig of a problem (after all, Ned isn´t really an active employee of us and therefore his opinion malus isn´t really that tangible in the end)
On the other hand, Hego is already in the red a bit opinion-wise and in a precarious position about his lot in life in general thanks to Shego running her mouth and sending him into a personal crisis previously and I don´t know just how bad "moderate opinion loss" will turn out to be.
So while I am leaning slightly towards "yes" here, it´s neither by much nor all that sure.
